Question For Veterains And Confession
I confess, it's still my biggest challenge..I have always been a fast eater. Four months out, and I'm getting better, but still haven't broke the habit. I don't always hurt, but I've slimed more than I care to admit..It mostly happens when eating out, or eating with people other than my family.

How Many Nights Were You In The Hospital?
Two nights in the hospital. Surgery was in Cancun, so the only visitors were my Husband, and two children "16 and 27," that went with us. I slept most of the first day and night. The second night I couldn't sleep, so I watched Hispanic cooking shows. Talk about ironic.

Not Able To Eat
Yes, it does get better! I can't remember how much I could eat at 4 weeks, but it wasn't much. It took what seemed like forever, before I could hold the recommended protein and liquid. The good thing about the protein shakes, is it counts for both protein/liquid. There are still days when I would rather drink my breakfast and dinner than eat. .

Can't Shake The Depression
It seems depression is a common side effect for weight loss surgery. Something about losing weight, and how your hormonal balance shifts. Think positive, pray and continue to see your therapist. It will get better.

Old Habits Are Hard To Break, The Art Of Not Wasting Food
I hate to waste food. I'm picky what I feed to my dogs. "They get gas that will run a human out of the room." Someone gave me baby chicks for Easter. Now, I never throw leftovers in the trash, cause those chickens will eat ALMOST anything!

Why Can We Not Drink With Straws?
I believe it allows more air, therefore more gas...Honestly, I've been using a straw since day 5 and have had no problems what so ever! Try one, if you get gas pains, put it away. " I've always been a rule breaker", lol!

Protein To Go Shots
I was told not to bother with the protein shots, that your body won't absorb the collagen protein.
