  1. You may want to try swimming as well. Great exercise for your whole body!
  2. Yes, close but the last 15lbs are proving to be the hardest!
  3. Prayers for a complete healing for Phillip Chambers! Lord we give voice to your word. Because we know there is power in the word! John 14;14 says " Ask anything in my name and I shall do it."
  4. I'm in a stall as well, and will be starting LilDivas Boot Camp tomorrow!
  5. I have sleep problems as well. I work midnights, and have for ten years now. On my off days, I convert back to normal hours so I can spend time with my family. I have a noise machine that I turn up "rain or ocean sounds," and that keeps the outside noise at bay. Also, I take a daily allergy pill that puts me sleep.
  6. O.k, this is probably TMI, but I know for a fact that the human body can hold up to 5 lbs of poop. Just be sure and weigh yourself before you prep for a colonoscopy, and then after!
  7. I take monthly B12 shots. It helps me when I feel a lack of energy. And yes, I'm always cold, unless I'm in the middle of a hot flash! Ugghh.
  8. Welcome! There are people who crush their meds, But I never have. There have been times when something didn't slide down, and I wish i had..Lol!
  9. Welcome and Happy Birthday! Lots of good things coming your way.
  10. Is Lil Divas bootcamp, the same as the 5 day pouch test?
  11. First, I want to say I',m sorry that your going through this. It's crazy to think that your surgery hasn't been successful so far. Did your Doctor tell you how much of your stomach he removed? Yes, this is a tool, but one that works because of the restriction. I would call your surgeon and discuss your weight loss, see what he says. In the meanwhile, follow VSG guidelines. Protein, fluids, exercise. Don't weight for at least one week. Take your measurements, see if your losing inches..Try and remain positive, if you can!
  12. For me, it was about 3 weeks before I could take a good drink without the tightness. Now at 8 months, i can do small gulps...Yaah
  13. Praying for speedy, low pain, surgeries for both of you today!
  14. I have read where people who work a night shift, gain weight over time. Since it's against our bodies natural clock to sleep during the day, they may not rest as well. Our bodies use sleep time, to heal and restore. Slower weight loss sounds reasonable to me. I also work the midnight shift, and average between 6-7 hrs of sleep during the week. On the week-end, I switch back to days and sleep 8-9 hrs. I might mention that after ten years of this shift I had packed on 75 lbs to my 5'3 frame. Happy to report since my VSG I've lost 76 lbs. I take plenty of healthy Snacks with me, and don't eat out of the vending machines anymore. I take things like almonds, fruit, skinny cow cheese and multi grain snack crackers, Protein shakes, and Protein Bars. I try to have a snack or Protein Drink every 3 hrs or so, works for me.
  15. Wow, that's kinda crazy! Everything happens for a reason. All you can do now is move forward. Read as much as you can about VSG, to catch yourself up. Take extra good care of yourself! Main thing, is to relax, anxiety makes everything worse. Best of luck!
  16. I have to hide my stuff. I have a 16 yr old son, who eats everything, and could still hide behind a lamp pole!
  17. I'm glad to hear, that your talking to someone about these fears. Just remember, your heart and soul remains the same, that's who you really are! You've spent your whole life hiding, and your about to emerge from that cocoon. Take a deep breath, pray. Good things are coming your way!
  18. Wow! One month, really? You are looking FAB! You are a inspiration to all the new sleevers.
  19. Sleeved June 16th. Down 76 lbs . Hope to lose another 15 lbs. The weight loss is slowing down. I'm not getting my fluids in, and not eating like I should. Time to get back on the wagon!
  20. Welcome Beth....May will be here before you know it!
