That's what I am going to school for, in a ugi you'll have a cup of fizzies which is like pop rocks, a thick barium which is the worst part buy I don't think it taste too bad, then a thin barium which taste better, and each Dr is different some only need to see a little go through some want to see it all. Thank you, I believe I needed this too even though I've got a while till surgery, best wishes, and my prayers are with you as well
  6. hairspray evenly when you blow dry? Ive had problems with my hair getting oily early throughout the day most of my life (when I was younger I mistaked a bottle of baby oil for shampoo and used it all because it was so pretty and silky lol and my hair has never been the same) so in high school I noticed when I used hairspray it wouldn't get a oily as fast, so now I spray and brush my hair while I dry it so then it's not sticky when you are done drying if that made any sense. good luck!
  7. Soooo I have the symptoms of a hiatial hernia, and I have no gallbladder so I am worried about scar tissue. I have Dr. Almanza and was wondering from really anyone who had surgery in mexico, did they fix it and how much did it cost? and were there any problems with scar tissue? Thanks!
  8. I pulled out every clothes and put biggest18 to smallest 10(except what I am wearing now size wise 20) in a tote and I can't wait to start going through them!! and last year I could not fit into a ride at the amusement park, that I will def ride next sumer.
  9. gallbladders work when you eat a "normal" amount of food, gallbladders over work and pump out more bile when you over eat which is why most of us are here, so when you are not eating a lot of food and you go from one extreme to the other you will def have a possibility of gallbladder issues whether it be stones or it needs to be removed, mine is already gone, and I haven't asked anyone yet but I am kind of worried about scar tissue :/

  13. If you read the regulations it says certain things you have to get a new passport if you lose a significant amount of weight is one of them.... I was dreading that, because our honeymoon will be in one year and Ill need a passport, but I figured it was worth the extra passport payment to lose the weight c: when are you going on vacation? keep me updated let me know how this works for you, and have fun!!!

So I couldn't let my fiancé do the before pics so I used the old mirror trick. This is me at 275 geesh....
  15. ... it's okay to back it up with a story, but geeze
  16. Call your doctor..... but from what I've read and working a medical field, one thing won't kill, especially 2 days before surgery, they are just trying to get the liver smaller... biggest concern is 12 - 24 hours before surgery, your body needs enough time for it not to be in your stomach when they operate. so don't beat yourself up, just call your doctor and hold fast for 2 days! good luck!
  17. I am in school for radiology and I am in my last stretch. I will be on break from summer to fall and will have my surgery on August 13 in Mexico. Right now I have 12 hours of class a week and 28 hours of clinicals a week... not much will change in fall, plus I work at best buy 10 hours a week and have a 3 year old.... so it will be difficult, but I've seen others do it, so can we... SOOOOOO excited c:
  18. I am terrified, I will have 1 week and 2 days to recover... if anything goes wrong I will have to wait a whole year to start over and thats only if they have room for me. My faith in God is greater than my fear though. I believe if something bad was to happen it would, with or with out the surgery.
  19. DH = dear husband.... took me a while to figure that one out lol
  20. Oh gosh I am so sorry this happened to you, that is bad on their parents! My3 year old has never said anything to me about my weight, but we saw a man one day at a pizza place and my son said "wow... he has a huuuge stomach" I was so embarrassed even though the man didn't hear... at least he acted like he didn't, but I took my son into the bathroom and had a good talking to about how that can hurt peoples feelings and we don't say things like that, and that has stuck with him, and I'll make sure he remembers not to hurt peoples feelings. It starts when kids are young and how they are raised to treat others. This will all be over for us soon enough, now its up to us to teach our kids differently so they do not have to go through the same thing, and don't treat others that way.
  21. good luck, let me know how you do, I'll get 1.5 weeks off and Im a bit nervous due to its strenuous work :/
