  2. You sound just like me c: I will be sleeved on August 13 and I bought a stationary bike, hand weights, I did an 80% liquid diet for a week to get an idea, lost 10 lbs and have kept it off, will do like a 90% liquid diet next month and then even though not required I will do a two week liquid diet before surgery. I started take all the vitamins I need to include pro biopics for healthy bacteria which is good when have abdominal surgery, so that I will have a routine because I can never remember to take meds, so far so good, I am working on caffeine and and liquids before and after meals... really hard.... I am getting in all my protein and water... mmm oh yeah Biotin... I hear a lot of people say it doesn't work for them but I'd rather try and be safe than sorry... nails already look really good, mmm I am starting to stock up on broths and protein and whatever I need by then... I know I may not like it after surgery.. but it is good to have. I am using a preventive cream for stretch marks, I already have plenty from pregnancy but praying no to get to many more... I am interested to see what others have said to your post, Good luck!!!
  3. Yea even though you tried to drink as much as possible, that all points to dehydration, just keep an eye on it
  4. haha I am a radiology student and I have to make this stuff all the time, but I usually have this feeling of wanting to drink it(I know weirdo), it has a faint mint smell.... Make sure you get lots of water in, and if you can take like milk of magnesia, that makes life a lot better after a UGI.
  5. August does seem like a great month for people!! and if I have any success as you have I will be a happy camper.... I think I will be a happier camper as long as I can graduate in may with no hiccups
  6. Soooo this is my first topic and it is about how this all just hit me that I am really going to have it done. Just booked my flight, my hotel. and about to do car (my fiancé and son are coming as well and will hang out in san diego till I get back) Now to just pay for the surgery on Tuesday... I will be sleeved on 8/13/2012 in Mexico by Dr. Almanza, and will return home on 8/17 and will be back in school and clinicals by 8/22. I am so nervous about going back to school, having to lift and move patients... I have heard many people can do it... some can't... but I figure if there are some complications... God would have had something happen in my life sleeve or no sleeve. I will graduate next may and will be married 8/24/2013 so l have many happy things to look forward to in the next year. I am Sara, from SC, I am 275, 5'5'' goal may 145? It's hard to believe that I could get there, but I see so much success on these forums, and I plan on rocking my sleeve. Well just wanted to be ooober excited and say Hi!!
  7. as I fluctuate my weight I fluctuate my TOM I am expecting to go back to a normal flow as the weight goes down, and I already know I am more fertile when I weigh less, thanks to my beautiful little son c:
  8. My coordinator told me she would honor any price from any other place (as long it was same doctor) so I was thinking about having the plication, but saw so many people against it, saying to just get VSG, so when I thought plication I found the coordinator I wanted but found the price about $500 cheaper somewhere else and she made a call to the hospital and they said they would honor it. So I looked for a cheaper price on my VSG but could not find anything better, but I am happy with with my price and Dr. now the plane ticket.... geesh
  9. I am working at an ortho office next week, I'll try to remember to talk to some of the doctors there, and see if they recommend that and or anything else.
  10. A trampoline? For back problems? That just seems it would make it hurt worse, especially being in your lumbar region, and if you fall or mis step..... Did they say why they would recommend that?
  11. I got that like a week ago and I blocked the person :/
  12. me and my sleeve sister that I met from FL are both students in the medical field and we will have one week between surgery and when we have to go back to school, we are nervous but believe in ourselves and have faith in God to help us get through it. It will be hard, but it will be worth it, and it is do able, good luck
  13. im scared to take my before full body pics.... I keep telling my fiancé I want to do it today, everyday for the past week.... eee I will do it too ..... soon :/ Good Luck!

  17. I am posting so I can hear what people say, I believe as you do, and feel that Doctor.... might I don't know... well yea I have already started weight training pre op and as soon as I can post op I will too, good luck!
  18. I told 3 important people.... I will eventually tell two more important people.... one of those which is an overly dramatically emotional person, but I care very much if something goes wrong and I neglected to tell these two people, the pain they would feel. As for after I have not decided my story, I am trying to lose a few pounds between now and Aug so it doesn't look like such a sudden thing. Good luck with everything!
  19. I'll see what I can do, Ill be in finals week and we are leaving for san diego on the 10th so that we can take my son to the zoo (: And has anyone looked into or bought their tickets if flying out, I found 237$ on american airlines, that seems pretty awesome compared to the 470 plus I have seen anywhere else, has anyone ever flown american airlines and if so what'd you think, or has anyone found a better deal?
