  1. So they used staples for my incisions? Did anyone else have staples? And if so how are the scars looking?

  6. surgery 8/13 lol and I sleep amazing, but my dreams are all about food, and mt dew. lol I dream I forget I am sleeved and I just start eating and I am not getting full and my sleeve isn't working, and then I'll drink soda and think "I am not supposed to drink this but it goes down so easy" lol and when I am awake I have no problem being around food, I don't feel deprived, just my dreams lol
  7. think of when you can eat it in moderation because you're healthy and skinny and don't need 2 or 3 plates(b/c that would have been me) to be satisfied
  8. I had mine on monday too, I was clears till today, I did one thing of unflavored protein with skim milk and torroni vanilla mix, it was yummy, then for lunch ill probably do unjury chicken broth, like you said mixed with other broth, and dinner one of the same. Get my water in(my pee is yellow so I def need to work on that) but so far 14 lbs I am a happy camper.
  9. I was told three days before which is also when I have to start clear liquids, it helps make sure there is no solid food in your stomach or system and it also can help a little bit with nausea, (which i will be on a plane on friday so I will be starting my clears tomorrow and taking my magnesium citrate tomorrow so that I don't have to worry about any problems on the plane) good luck
  10. did that work for the puss filled one?
  11. I am praying for you and hope you get better soon! please keep me updated.... my surgery is on the 13 with the same doctor you had..... I'm stating to panic a little now.
  12. oooo I'd be a mad, very mad, wife. The father of my child isn't even his biological dad, and he helped me with everything, and wanted to or he wouldn't have been around. Good luck with that, I know what I'd do...but he needs to step up.
  13. Oops lol sorry thought I put it, but rite aid, I'm not sure if its just a southern store but they sale it, and if you have food stamps you can use it on isopure there as well
  14. Isopure on sale for $9.50 I don't know if that's an awesome deal but I was happy to save 8$ total c: stocking up for pre op diet in 14 days and surgery in 19... Yay!
  15. I know how you feel, I went on vacation two weeks ago to florida with the fiancés family, and it was embarrassing being scared if I was going to fit or not at the rides at Disney or Sea world, and being at the beach was just not fun at all. Every moment made me realize why this surgery was so detrimental, for my health and my lifestyle with my son and fiancé. I won't see the family again until 4 months post op and I am super excited for that moment let alone next summers family vacation.

  21. Tomorrows a new day c:
  22. but since I don't have awesome insurance id like to know about mexico!!
  23. So I was doing an exam on a patient that took about four hours, so we had a lot of time to talk, and she was ten years out and her insurance covered everything from surgery to plastics. She worked for an insurance company so knew the ins and outs, and for blue cross blue shield there is a statement that says(something along these lines) "If we approved you for one surgery and you have a problem or need for something else we will approve that" lol I am sure in better terms but pretty much they approved the bariatric surgery which caused the excessive skin, so they approved the plastics..... worked for her... wouldn't hurt to look into through your company, she said they told her no twice till she got a copy of there stuff(not sure what its called) and could point it out to them.
  24. That is amazing!!!hows your recovery going??
  25. yea I will be pushing it, but I do not have much choice unless I want to wait over a year, which for selfish reasons I do not want to wait, I will be sleeved on Aug 13(my sleeve sister aug 14) and we each have about 9 days after surgery till we start classes and clinicals, she is in school for nursing and I am in school for radiology. My thoughts are I am nervous but my faith in God is stronger and if something goes wrong then it would go wrong with or without the surgery.
