  1. Thanks guys for all the info you shared. I haven't had any of the problems yet but I haven't had a fill yet either. I do eat small and chew chew lol. Good luck everyone
  2. I'll be truthful with you, if you are 100 percent wanting to change your life and not let anything get in your way you will achieve it. Also do exactly what the dr tells you and not try to cheat because that will only cause you to fail later with the band but if you do, don't beat yourself up but go at it again. I myself have lost my appetite and I feel if your not hungry u won't want all the foods your used to having. Don't let yourself go to long being hungry and stop when your satisfied. When u stop sometimes it hits u in a few minutes and your like feeling really full lol. But if you do everything your dr says and it won't always be easy, you'll do great. There is alot of people that thought they couldn't do it but they did and they have the success stories to show it. Good luck
  3. I think we all hit that plateua. Sometimes you have to play with it like up your calories a little or lower them and of course exercise. That works alot of times. Your body gets used to certain things so you have to switch it to get your body pumping again. I wish you luck
  4. That's great that you got off that. When I got this band I made sure I was going to work with it, it's a good thing to not abuse something that can give us a better life. Thanks for your caring thoughts. It's nice to have others to talk to threw this journey. But when I had my surgery I had that gas pain in the shoulder they talk about. It went away after about 3 days then the day before yesterday I was laying down watching t.v and I felt the pain in my shoulder again and then it kinda went down my arm and made my hand go numb and tingle, so I started researching on here and noticed some had it to even after 7 years. I did come across a few that had it in there hands like me and they said there is a nerve beside your stoma and when u move or eat certain things it can touch that nerve and irritate it. I'm thinking that's what my problem is. I sure hope it goes away for good. They also had a lady that had it so bad she had her band removed, I will never do that because I enjoy what the band is helping me with. I have lost 7 pounds since my surgery 2 weeks ago so I'm doing good that's over 2 pounds a week. I sure can't eat no less than I'm already doing. I only eat around 600 to 800, I'm suppose to be eating 1300 calories a day but it just don't happen because I'm full. If you ever want to talk just private message me
  5. Thanks AKA I'll try that more. Hospitals don't know anything about bands.
  6. I don't have anxiety. This thing last for hours. Just got back from the er and it's a irritated nerve. Alot of people have it on here. It was hurting bad. Thanks
  7. I have been having my left arm hurting and tingling in my hand like carpal tunnel. This started right after I had surgery. I did have the gas in my shoulder and then it went away in a few days now 2 weeks later it has come back twice. I went to the dr today and he said it was panic attacks, ok I would say yes on that but for hours then no. Has anyone had this problem?
  8. Thanks alot
  9. Thats good you haven't has a fill yet. I heard use them when you really need them. I'm not ready yet but still have 2 weeks
  10. Thanks alot. I havent had a fill yet. I can't eat alot which I guess is a good thing. I will still take it slow. I had my first solid food and was able to only eat half and I was full and doing great on it. I go back in 2 weeks to get the first fill which I may still not need. They said when u start solids your stomach stretches a little. Was you able to eat more once you started the solids than before while you were on liquids. I really hope my appetite don't pick up now with the new foods
  11. I went to the dr today for a follow up. I had told him that when I had surgery I had the gas in my shoulder and a few nights ago I was laying in bed and my shoulder started to hurt again but this time it went down my arm and caused tingling and numbness in my fingers. The dr said it must of been a panic attack but I don't believe that because it lasted for a few hours. He again like others said it wasn't band related. Has anyone had this problem, if so can you please share so that I know what to do
  12. I went to the doctor today after being banded 2 weeks ago. He has started me on solid foods to see if I do well. Wish me luck that everything goes well. If you have any advice I should beaware of please post. Thanks
  13. So sorry to hear all that. I hope it gets better.
  14. Wow thank goodness you got it taken care of in time. Do keep a eye on that in the future. Take care and good luck.
  15. I finally moved the scale since surgery almost 2 weeks ago. I officially dropped 2 pounds. I didn't think that scale would ever move lol. Yay. I hope everyone else is still doing great
  16. I am trying to keep a eyeon my calorie intake and was needing a good free software to do that. Any suggestions? Thanks
  17. Yes the more you weigh, the faster it comes off unless you are one that it doesnt matter. I have only lost 3 pounds since surgery which was on May 9th. I hope it comes off quicker than what it has. I will be getting that program everyone uses for there calorie intake.
  18. Well that's good news that it hasn't flipped anymore. My whole stomach is mesh. I do hope I don't have ever have that problem, I just have that feeling that mine has flipped, it's proably just worries due to me always having bad luck with surgerys. Thanks
  19. I have a deep pain in my chest that comes and goes all day long like incongestion. Is this what you guys are dealing with? Maybe I need to speak with the dr for some mylanta myself
  20. I was wondering on why does some folks bands slip. Is there a reason on this or does it just happen no matter on what you do.
  21. I'm glad you are good now. What is the main reason why bands slip? I'm curious. Thanks
  22. I have had some port pain and alittle burning where my cuts are. I guess this is normal
  23. I just started the blenderized diet today. Everything is still going down smooth. I ate about half cup of protein and half cup of cottage cheese, and I am full. Wish I could of filled up like this years ago. I haven't even had my band tightened yet and I get satisfied on a cup worth of food total. Yay
  24. That does make sense. Is there any signs of a flipped port or is that something the dr finds out when doing a fill.
