  3. The actual EGD took about 45 mins. the prep and discussion with the anethesiologist too the longist! I did mine all before even getting submitted to insurance however.
  4. This is due to the gas they pump into you to fill your cavity...it is very normal for laprascopic surgeries! I have heard that Gas X strips work and definitely get up and move a lot. Get the gas moving and out of your body! I have heard this can last for a few days. You should get better soon...

  7. I know the feeling! Fortunately I found out that it was actually sent to insurance the day before I left the country for a week or I would have called daily!! I came home to the good news. I have Anthem BC in Ca and it took them 7 days to approve but 11 to let my docs know. So I'd call maybe in a few days!

  13. Mine is going to be semi liquid. 2 meals of protein shakes and one regular, healthy meal. For 2 weeks...
  14. I am officially scheduled for July 10th!!!! 2 days before my 30th birthday so happy birthday to me!!!!!
  15. I should be in July! I got the call that I am approved, should have a date soon! I hope today! Could be the day before my 30th birthday (July 12th) but I don't care!!!
  16. They asked about eating disorders and grilled about my support system. Made sure that it was something I was doing for me not for a crazed spouse or something.
  17. My doctor's office told me that it could take up to 60 days. Mine was approved in 7. I guess it all depends!

  19. I start my preop diet today, even though I technically don't have a surgery date yet. I have been told it should be in two or three weeks. Two protein shakes and a healthy healthy balanced meal. Seems absolutely dooable! My goal is to loose 10 pounds....I feel that any loss will only make me feel better for surgery. I am hoping to be a bandster in early July!!!
  20. Mine will be on a tuesday or wednesday and I am just planning to take the rest of the week and go back the following Monday!
  21. I just got back from a week in Mexico to find out that my surgery was APPROVED by insurance!!! AHHH! I should be getting scheduled this week. Pre-op healthy diet starts now!!
  22. Hi Pepper! I just had my medical clearance appointment Friday and all is good to go! They said it will take a couple weeks for everything to be submitted. Aghh! I can't wait. But my patient coordinator said the day they submit she wants me to start the pre op diet because it should be quick!
