  4. I don't think there is an easy way to do that. My surgeon has me on partial liquid....I know part of it is the liver issue but mainly I believe it is to develop good habits before surgery. I mean, after surgery I am on a 2 week liquid only...and we will need to be used to life without chewing for a while!
  5. WOW!!! What an inspiring joutney. SO awesome to hear today of all days because I have had my first panic attack....Tuesday is my surgery date. I really can't wait...
  6. Hey there...I am scheduled for the day before you. I had my first panic attack of nerves this morning. Otherwise, I have just been anxious and excited. I am not nervous for what the surgery means or how my life will change...but just for the surgery itself...incisions, etc. But we will be OK!!!
  7. I would say no because its carbonated and thats the ONE thing that my doctor is explicit that I cannot have.
  8. I am surprisingly not nervous....sometimes I think, what am I going to do when I get a super craving for something I can't have??...and then I think to myself....I can always have a bite. One day. I can live with that...if I want more than that I will just have to accept being fat forever...and that is the last thing I want.
  9. Good luck to all you July 3rd bandsters! I noticed there is a bunch of you! I willl be one week behind you...
  10. I am the day before you, I will let you know how it goes!!!
  11. My first fill once I have the surgery next week will be 4 weeks post op.
  12. Hi Vicki! I am the same day as you! I would ask your doctor if there is anything you can add to your diet to help you with the LBS. You don't want to be making yourself sick!
  13. Yay good luck! You will do great!!!
  14. Good luck to you both! I will be in your shoes next Tuesday!!!
  15. Again I'm on the 10th it's getting close! I can't wait!! Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
  16. That is where your band is.
  17. I noticed that you were banded several years ago. I was told by my surgeon that the latest and greatest Allergan LapBand AP is proving to be a better long term solution than those who received a band years ago. Perhaps you can get a new band???
  18. I take medications daily for anxiety and my thyroid. I had my thyroid removed in 2009 because I had Graves Disease. I need a replacement every day for the rest of my life. They didn't say anything about the lexapro. I will continue to see my endocrinologist to track the prescriptions that he has given me. This did not affect my approval and doesn't seem to be affecting my surgery as I am schedule to go in less than two weeks.
  19. So excited for you!!!!
  20. For the almost banded here...what is PB in bandster lingo?
  21. We will be just fine!! I am scheduled on July 10th and I know the nerves are bound to kick in...but right now I am just excited and anxious to start my new life. Remember how you feel everytime you do something that you are miserable doing because of the weight...or how you look in the mirror...or when your doctor gives you yet more bad news about your health? Well think about that and then think about the joy you will have when all of that no longer happens...it is so worth a few days or even a week of pain to get to that healthy person we are on the inside.
  22. I'm the day after you! Keep on touch!! Fortunately I dont have to do all liquids. Just for two meals. Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
