Bariatric journey Multiple procedures Since 2019 Preparing for surgery

Everything posted by kah1213

  1. I've gotten it at CVS or Walgreens and I think GNC sells it.
  2. Is this sweating a new thing it something you've had all your life! I'm a big 'sweater' too. Lol
  3. I'm definitely having to relearn how to eat with my last fill!
  4. Myoplex light is good. I've heard people say there is a good shake that you can get at Costco but I forget the name.
  5. That will take the longest to heal. A couple weeks i think. You can also ask your doc for specifics.
  6. I haven't had it happen, but I think when you have a slip, it hurts and you can't keep anything down. Itching incisions are totally normal. That means they're healing! I was allowed to walk immediately after surgery. I had to wait a month for anything else.
  7. After surgery I could really eat anything at all until day 4-5. So, hang in there and let your body heal.
  8. How are all the banded plication people doing? I just wanted to check in. I'm banded/plication almost 4 months.
  9. Wow. Can't wait until I'm 159 too! Congrats
  10. Same here. Doc told me no straws.
  11. As anyone done a Ragnar relay race? I'm looking for ideas for foods to bring and eat during the race. (it's a 24 hour relay race where you dont really have an opportunity to eat a proper meal or sleep!) Other people on my team are bringing bagels and other things that won't work for me.
  12. Congrats! That's always a nice feeling
  13. I had 1cc at my first fill and .5cc at my 2nd fill
  14. It's so frustrating. Yet another reason why I didn't tell anyone about my surgery. People just don't understand WLS.
  15. I'd say you should wait at least 30 min to drink something after being stuck. Good luck
  16. Are you tracking your food? Exercising?
  17. 100% normal. I didn't want to eat anything at all until day 4-5 when I had some cottage cheese
  18. My surgery was on a Tuesday and I was back at work on Monday (desk job).
  19. My doc told me not to take any extended-release pills after lap band. However, I'm sure in some cases it's ok and you should just do whatever your doc ordered.
  20. I'm usually the opposite. Trouble eating in the morning.
