Everything posted by kah1213

  1. Could u really eat anything without the fills/restriction? I thought there was some slight restriction after the surgery even without a fill?
  2. i am doing out-patient, so there is no hospital stay!
  3. Congrats! 18 lbs isn't too shabby either! Have you have a couple fills?
  4. did anyonehave any issues with having to stop birth control pill? my doc asked me to stop taking the pill before surgery.
  5. question for those who have already been banded...I'm starting with a BMI of approx 34 and I want to get to a BMI of 22-24. so, that's about 60-70 lbs. what has your experience been with the pace of the weight loss?
  6. I would have panicked with a 10 lb gain too! Lol. Congrats on starting your journey!
  7. Anyone May 30th? I'm a little jealous of the people getting banded in early May! Good luck!
  8. Is the recovery faster with single incision? The surgery is on a Wednesday and I'd like to be back at work on Monday. Thanks all!
  9. Dr Garber in NY.
  10. I think just less invasive and obviously less scarring.
  11. anyone have the single incision lapband procedure? that's what I am planning to get in late May. i'd love to hear feedback!
  12. I'm getting banded May 30 (yay)! I have a business trip 2.5 weeks after surgery. I don't plan to tell anyone at work about the surgery. If I'm eating 3 meals a day with these people, will I be able to be somewhat "normal?" I'm not sure what to expect so soon after surgery as far as what I'll be eating and how I'll be feeling. Ive heard a lot about the gas pains and food getting "stuck." Any advice would be great! Thank you!
