I did it! Today I weighed in at 199.6. That's 118 lbs gone forever in 8 months. I love my sleeve.
My goal was to hit onderland by Halloween. So I'm a little late, but better late than never. If someone had told me last thanksgiving that I would Weigh less than 200 lbs this year I would not have believed them. Next goal 189 by Christmas.

I am 7 weeks post-op and I eat right about every 3 hours, now mind you that it is a small portion but I eat on this schedule usually:
    Breakfast - 7am
    snack - 10am
    lunch - 1pm
    Snack - 4pm
    dinner - 6:30pm
    Snack 9:30pm
Lots of Water throughout the day and sometimes I skip the afternoon snack if I am still satisfied from lunch. Keeping hydrated with lots of Water and/or non-caloric beverages is key! I am down 30 pounds in 7 weeks.
    Good Luck!

    My start weight was 228
    My current weight is 121
    My goal is 110
My current pic looks ridiculous but I put on my old college clubbing dress and it fit so I was excited. Lol.

This last one is how swollen my feet were every day... I have Dilated Cardiomyopathy.

I had my surgery 10 weeks ago and for me it was the best decision I have ever made for myself. Like you I have yo yo'd my entire life and tried almost every diet and every cleanse. My only wish is that I had this surgery done years ago. I am 39 and I finally said enough is enough- it isn't going to get any easier the older I get and there seems to be a pattern here that I just can't break. I also have been seeking mental help because I want to make sure that my eating habits aren't emotional ones and if they are I need to take care of them before I sabotage my future with my sleeve. I think you are making a decision you only know the answer to. But I think you will find the majority of the folks on here are very happy with their progress. I think you will be amazed if you go through with it. One of the best things I have discovered with this surgery is that I feel "satisfied" after a few bites instead of eating 3-4 helpings before feeling satisfied in the past. I wish you the best and good luck with your decision!!!

As already stated it takes about 6 months to be able to get a good appetite back, at about 1 year you can really start to eat a lot more and about 2 years out you can really pack away the food - although NOTHING like what you can pre-op. So use the time well to train yourself in good eating habits.

I'm 8 weeks out this week and my stomach doesn't feel like my old one, which was my previous "normal." I'm VERY glad that my stomach has changed! It makes crazy noises sometimes, it can get cranky, it is not particularly fond of sugar, it doesn't like turnips or G2, it is gassy and acts like a diva. Hmmm.... I haven't named my sleeve yet and that seems appropriate. Diva Sleeva or Sleeve Diva ...will work on that.

Just think of it this way. From what you have experienced, once youve lost your weight you will have the ability to see men for who they are as people and respond accirdingly. Just remember who you are and that God has someone who will love you for you.

My advice is to be strong and have courage. I know this is hard. Believe me. There are literally 1000s of other people to surround you and encourage you. Know that you are not alone and know that strength comes in numbers.also know that it get easier as each day goes by. Easier from a temptation perspective, a pain perspective a "feel good" perspective and so on. Know that you can do this because we are all doing this together and are strong together.

I was to scared to eat anything off plan for fear of getting a leak and dying, that is how I coped.
I know its hard but just think if you eat something you shouldn't and something bad happens you will so regret it. That was always in the back of my mind.

Well I made it to one month! The journey has been a very happy one so far. I have struggled with stalls and trying to perfect the diet but all in all I couldn't be happier. Yesterday I went to Nordstrom's and Dillard's and was actually able to shop there! My "comfort jeans" were a 48 and this weekend I was cruzing around in 40's! I couldn't tell you the last time I was able to buy nice clothes! Here is a couple pic's from yesterday and a starter pic. I am down 30lbs since surgery and 70 since I began the journey. Good luck to everybody this Thursday (Thanksgiving)!!!!!!!

I took a couple new pictures today and thought I would share. I found some old pre-surgery pictures on my computer today and felt like I wanted to see where I was in comparison.
    Pre-surgery (Highest recorded weight: 325)

    Shortly post-surgery (Approx: 320)

Approx 2 months out (50 pounds down)
Almost 4 months out (76.2 pounds down)

The last 2 are from today. They aren't the best pictures as I had just gotten up from a nap, but I really think it shows a big difference from where I started. I am so thankful for my VSG! =)

Just passed my one year surgiversary date (and just had my check up and passed with flying colors!). As I start year 2, I am feeling like a normal person and I don't think about me as a sleeved person so much any more. I just want to be a normal person without a weight problem but if I had told everyone, I think that people would always think of me as a person who had WLS at some point. Just my thought for the day. I guess the longer I go, the happier I am that I only shared this with a few close friends.

I just had my 2 month follow up and the numbers shocked me! I am down 56 pounds from day of surgery. I guess my scale at home says I weigh more than the Dr's office. That is a good thing I am feeling amazing!! I have a long way to go still.. I did a side by side comparison from the morning of surgery and from this morning and it is the first time I really am seeing a huge difference in myself!
    Pic is attached
Grey hoodie is morning of and dress is this morning, of course you will know which one is which LoL Just had to share, when you are finally feeling this good its fun to share with others that understand!!!

I think honesty is the only way to go. As long as she knows that you want to date others, she can make her own decision regarding whether she wants to continue seeing you. Just be sure you are not tossing aside the prize catch just to chase after a bunch of bait fish. LOL.

    hey guys!
i wanted to make a new post updating you about my status as of right now. im going to start off with my weight and stuff and then we can move on to my non scale victory story!
    as of today,
    weight: 147lbs.
    bmi: 27.8
    lost: 126lbs
    started at
    weight: 273lbs.
    bmi: 51.6
so here goes my non scale victory story!
i started out wearing a size 18-22 in jeans. i am only 5'1 so imagine carrying 273lbs with you all the time! it was hard. if the jeans were really stretch, i was an 18. no stretch, id say 22 maybe even 24!
well, yesterday i had to go jean shopping because the size 6 jeans i bought in sept are starting to look baggy on me. not cute lol.
i tried on a pair of really stretch jeans (which must run big because its no way) and guess what size they are? a size 1/2! can u friggin believe it?
but then i tried on another pair of stretch jeans from the same store and they were a size 3 and they fit tight but i got them on.
so i think im a size 3/4. i can definitely squeeze into a 3/4 if they are stretch. im only 24 so i like my clothes as tight as possible. lol.
i think with no stretch, id be like a 7. i cant believe it tho. i havent been this small since 5th grade!!!!!
update about my hair... its starting to grow back. i can see the growth, thank god because it was really bad. i actually love my new haircut now but i still do miss my long hair lol.
and my boobs, smh! they have gotten so much smaller but i am definitely getting a boob job! DEFINITELY!
