  1. They were able to tell from my urine sample and blood work. Plus my mouth was completely dry!
  2. Thanks so much for checking on me. I feel a little better today but because I'm working so hard to drink so much, my calorie intake has been super low. I don't know how to balance it!
  3. I'm also LDS and came across this situation regarding sacrament this past Sunday. I just took a small piece of the bread and nibbled a tiny bit and let it dissolve in my mouth. The Lord knows our situations.
  4. I my surgeon says I have to crush all my meds. The bad part is I have a UTI and really need to take some AZO Standard for the discomfort but that med can't be crushed! Ugh! This sucks.
  5. Thanks you guys! It's amazing how much the IVs helped. I'm taking my antibiotic so hopefully I'll be well soon.
  6. I've been so worried! I'll keep you in my prayers. Hang in there! This will eventually be a distant memory.
  7. Luckily it's nothing too serious, but I'm dehydrated and I have a UTI. I starting running a fever last night which of course had me worried, so I'm relieved it's a UTI. It amazes me how much better I feel with the IV fluids too. Thank heaven for modern medicine!
  8. I'm 2 and 1/2 weeks post op and I noticed the same thing with my face and neck! I think we lose weight from the face down.
  9. Without the pain I doubt it's a leak. I agree that it could be dehydration but you may also have a virus. Go to your doctor, you'll be okay.
  10. I've been praying for Jimmy too. I'm so worried!
  11. I posted exactly this when I was preop. It was hard! I will say it does get easier. I was allowed 4 protein shakes a day, with broth and sf jello. When I was hungry and tempted to cheat, I'd eat a boiled egg. It filled me up without all the carbs. I stuck to the surgeon's diet to a T the last 4or 5 days and I lost 16 pounds before surgery. Good luck...you can do it!!
  12. I walked up and Dow my stairs the day I came home from the hospital, no problem. BUT, I didn't have to do 4 flights, just 1. Be careful!
  13. I was told preferably 18 months. I have PCOS but I only had surgery a little over two weeks ago.
  14. I also have PCOS and 3 of my 4 kids were conceived with help from Clomid! Good luck to you. Exciting!!
  15. Well the pain went away and it must have been the eggs. I think I'll wait a while before I try them again. Thanks for the input, this forum is so awesome!
  16. I know I have read about people complaining of eggs not sitting well after VSG, but I had a few bites of a softly scrambled egg for breakfast and hours later I'm having some pain. Could it still be from the egg? The pain is mild and comes and goes...
  17. Anxiously awaiting an update from you. I hope you're doing okay, but most importantly that they've figured out the cause and can fix it! I will be praying for you!
  18. Hey buddy! I haven't noticed it with myself, but I've seen LOTS of posts about it. I'm thinking you're totally normal. I hope you've been feeling better!
  19. My favorite yogurt place has sugar free yogurt. That's on my plans for mothers day!
  20. I'm two weeks out today and I ate tuna puréed with a little mayo, a Matrix protein shake, and a jar of Gerber meat sticks. I'm kinda embarrassed about the meat sticks but they tasted good and turn to mush when you chew them.
  21. As long as this doesn't happen often, try not to feel bad! At least you got in lots of protein.
  22. I've never been in the chat room but I'm always up late..maybe I'll stop by.
  23. If the pain is bad, I'd get it checked. Better safe than sorry. Hope you feel better soon.
