Feeling pretty good. Tomorrow will be 2 weeks since surgery and I am 13 lbs lighter

Ok I'm here! I'm checked in and waiting to be called back. I'm not nervous... I'm excited. I want to get the surgery done and get past the first month. Yay!

EAS cardadvantage is the first I prefer then the premier from costco. I don't care for the vanilla shakes in any brand. I stick to chocolate.< /p>

Congrats on the surgery! Your spirits are high and that is the best thing you can do in my opinion. I to am having major pain, however mine is on the right side, I have been fine the first 2 weeks after surgery but the last few days, this pain had come on. Hurts to breathe, move, talk and eat all I'm this right side (not attached to any incisions) by two weeks, I bet you will be ready for work. Keep up your great attitude and I wish you continued success!

I am 3 days post op and I'm doing okay. I had to stay in the hospital one extra day but after doing so I can tell I needed it and it was all good. I still feel pretty rough but I took two weeks off of work so I'm sure when the time comes I'm sure I will fine. The one thing that is keeping me moving pretty slow is a pain on my left side. I think it is just a pulled muscle or something. I am having no problem getting my liquids or Protein in at this point. If I gulp I can feel some pain but I can take in a little more than a sip. I tire super easily. I get up, move around, use the potty, and I'm ready to rest. I fall asleep at a drop of a hat but its only for about 20-30 minutes. Overall I am doing pretty and am very happy

My Nut explained it to me like this: our food intake changes so drastically that our bodies kinda freak out and place all of our nutrients and energy into our life preserving organs like brain heart lungs etc etc. Our hair is not needed to live so our bodies dont care for it. When our bodies finally figure out that our new low intake is normal and we aren't going to starve our hair will get better. She said taking in our Protein can help but it varies by individual. Hope that helps

I'm a May Sleevers!! I'm so excited to say that! I've been reading this forum for a couple of months now and hear all the exciting news and now I get to be a part of it. I'm in Fresno, CA. My stats are 5'2" 215 ilbs 37 (almost 38) years old. Would love a sleeve buddy!!

I love this thread. It's great to hear all that stats. I hear all of these huge weight stories then realize everyone is a lot taller than me! Great to hear about all the shorties I am 5'2" currently 210 and having surgery May 24th. I can't wait!

Well now I am 12 weeks post op and I am down 54 pounds so far. I am so glad that I made this decission to be a more healthier me. I have so much more energy now and I can walk like I couldn't before.. I am still tired lots I just don't think I am getting enough protien in me. Had some blood work done yesterday so we will see!

I called this morning and the insurance has received the paperwork. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I called the insurance company (Delta) and they said the drs office had to call the physicians line at Anthem. They would not give me a customer service number. I broke down and called the surgeons office (even though they ask patients not to in their intake paperwork) and they said they hadn't heard anything but did provide me with number. SOOoooo I called Anthem and they say they have no paperwork on me!!! Aaaggghhh!!! I call the surgeons office back and they swear they faxed the auth request 3 weeks ago :( I'm so upset. I have waited so patiently and have been stressing so much. Now it starts all over this is really driving me crazy
