  1. Hey, I'm looking for some advice. Last night while reading my iPad, I dropped it on my abdomen. Yep, the same abdomen that just got got banded 4 days priror. Now I'm having a new feeling I hadn't felt before in what I am assuming is my stomach, a pinching feeling. I'm thinking this is unrelated to the dropping accident and just a coincidence. Is it just a "healing" feeling (sorry to sound like Dr. Seuss)?
  2. My office says no tomatoes right now due to the acidity.
  3. So on Sunday we will be attending a birthday party at Max & Erma's and I will only be 6 days post-op. My plan is to eat applesauce and the broth from the French onion Soup or if they have cream of something maybe that, just careful of the stuff in it. Any other ideas??
  4. This is what I've been told: 60-80 grams of Protein 25-35 grams of fat (closer to 25) No saturated fat 45-60 grams of carbs (complex carbs)
  5. Except I wasn't able to have protein shakes until day 3 post-op.
  6. Tea with Splenda and ditto above
  7. Saw this blog somewhere else here on LBT and thought I'd share with my fellow Spinger's, not that I'll be eating at least for like a month, but someday http://www.bandfriendlyrecipes.com/
  8. I saw this website on another topic here on LBT and thought it was an appropriate answer to your question http://www.bandfriendlyrecipes.com/search/label/Take%20Along%20Dishes
  9. Hi! Mine was May 21st
  10. Body Fortress at Walmart or Kroger. Less expensive at Walmart.
  11. How about a "lite" zeggie pizza? Lite crescent rolls laid flat together and baked, mix lite ranch and lite cream cheese for the sauce, lots of fresh veggies and 2% cheese on top. Or a "lite" fruit pizza. Lite crescent rolls laid flat together and baked, lite cream cheese, lite or fat free cool whip mixed together for the sauce and lots of fresh fruit. Probably couldn't eat a lot of it band wise, but could share Veggie would be better.
  12. Believe it or not, the pre-op diet is so helpful in getting you ready for the surgery. I had my surgery on Monday and not to toot my own horn, but I followed my pre-op diet down to a t. It helped me not be as hungry after a few days so now that I am post-op, I have a very small appetite. You can do it! Words of advice, avoid Pinterest and cooking shows
  13. May 21st here
  14. What did it have included? We have a list on the Springer board.....
  15. Yep. I'm in my third day post-op, having some similar issues. Stay on top of your pain meds. Also, I used ice packs. That helped. Feel better!
  16. Once I used the skim milk.....BIG difference! I think if I feel up to it tomorrow, I may venture out to Wal-Mart to get the Body Fortress chocolate flavored one. I have a chocolate flavored one but it is a soy one from Sam's. I like the strawberry one from Body Fortress much better.
  17. No sorry. The office has me taking (in 2 weeks) optisource bariatric vitamins for 3 months, then I can switch to flintstones and a viactive.
  18. gottobeme- great link! I understood from the dr but thought I'd watch anyway, awesome visual aid!
  19. Great job! How are you feeling after your fill?
  20. Thanks for the encouragement everyone! You all ROCK!
  21. azhoselady - thank you for that. I was thinking that too. Everyone was saying it was so easy. The gas pains hit tonight. I didn't find the gas x strips but the chewables. My hubby just ground one up and put it in a scoop of applesauce to help me try to get rid of it. Hoping I turn the corner soon Thanks everyone
  22. I got my card in the mail today. I have a Realize band and it is 11 cc's. How about you?
  23. I'm actually very sore I think where my stomach/band is, so I am assuming its going to take some time for my body to adjust to the restriction. I'm very slow moving these days But progressing each day I'll share with you and you share with me. So far I'm still on clear liquids. chicken broth and tea with Splenda.
  24. So, I was banded Monday and have been doing Clear liquids since. Tomorrow I can move to full liquids: Protein shakes, cream of whatever strained, yogurt. What was on your full liquid diet?
