  1. Well' date=' my scars are there and really faded. I Can barely see them. They blend in with the rest of my stretch marks that I had from all the weight! Lol my scars don't bother me!
  2. "Told hubby I'm claiming the next few income tax return checks to fund my efforts to put everything back where it belongs." That's awesome!!! Think I'm gonna try this one! Lol
  3. What about going out for a coffee or tea and chatting somewhere at a coffee house. I agree with elcee and toddy, no reason down the road you wouldn't be able to enjoy her company and a meal out. Remember, this is a lifestyle change, not a reprimand. Don't lose site of yourself but also try not to stop living your everyday life either. Best of luck!
  4. "Even to now I suffer with that feeling in my chest but so far (touch wood) I do a bit of rocking and it relives it!!!" It's funny, to this day (I'm three years out) and find myself rocking like a baby to burp or get things to move! My family thinks I'm crazy. My dh points it out all the time as I don't even notice I'm doing it! Lol
  5. I bought some of the fage Greek yogurt at costco today! It's so yummy! Thanks for the suggestion!
  6. I too have had the halitosis at times and the coating on the tongue. It happens if i drink more then 2 shakes a day. I've also had a change with cavities. I spent 34 years without one cavity and then the last two years 5 cavities have popped up. Small but needed repair. Wondered if diet change made the difference as at times I wasn't eating enough Protein and also for a while I was PBing, sliming and occasionally vomiting. Even talked to the dentist about the correlation and he just said to make sure to brush after an episode. Didn't know of any specific thing from the band that would cause cavities specifically. Could be my age, could be the fact that all my sealants from childhood were gone, the surgery, diet, or a combination of It all. Who knows. Just something I think about. Anyone else have an issue with this?
  7. I love the fact that you are so organized! I did the same thing three years ago!!! Haha
  8. For some reason I have a difficult time eating out. It's not enough time or the first bite syndrome, or the simple fact I can't get up and walk around to get things through. It also could be the fact that I have had a stressful day and can't eat period. Idk. Either way, whatever I order always comes home and either myself or my hubby eats it for leftovers.
  9. You can join my fitness pal! There is a large group of ladies that are very supportive! My fitnesspal.com or there are apps for your phone. Share your diary and we can all give you feedback! How much have you lost to date? http://www.TickerFactory.com/weight-loss/wT65w50/
  10. Maybe one of the nurses on here will reply. I'm not a nurse but if I recall correctly, the tape fell off on its own. My follow up appt they removed the tape or cut the strips that we're loose off and then put a bandaide over them.
  11. I'm sorry Jenny!!!! I can only imagine how frustrating that is!
  12. Hmm... Fever is not good. Have you called the doctor?
  13. Welcome! My name is Jen and I was banded in April of 09. This site will be a tremendous help to answer any of your questions you may have!
  14. It's good that you already have Fluid. Please be extra careful not to over eat. Chew your food to mush and follow your doctors orders. You won't have the luxury of learning how eat with little restriction. I was started with 5cc. 3 years ago. I didn't have this site or the information that I do now. I thought that "sliming" and "PBing" we're going to be the norm of my banded life. Now I know differently. Best of luck to you and congrats on your new birthday!
  15. It's called premier protein. Comes in chocolate and vanilla. Not sure about strawberry. I make smoothies with mine and add peanut butter and yogurt to up the protein. I do not know how to do the ticker thing. Sorry. Best of luck!
  16. Good luck!!! It will all be over before you know it! Keep up on your pain Meds the first couple of days. Hard to catch up on any pain if you wait too long! Will be thinking of you!
  17. Try going on liquids for a week again. Stop the irritation of the band. Let it rest. Then go back to mushed and then solid foods. This has helped me a lot. Once I've irritated the band it becomes swollen, causing the fbs and inability to eat properly. You can try this before going for an unfill. Indications that I too tight was a night cough and choking feeling with massive heartburn. Good luck.
  18. My stomach doesn't grumble but I get these weird internal burps of sorts. Hard to explain. No rhyme or n to it. I'm 3 years post op. figured it's part of life.
  19. You might want to try and journal an emotion with that as well. It will help you decide it it is head hunger or you are truly hungry.
