    Side Tracked!!!

    So I got alittle side tracked..Ok alot side tracked..But I can say that I have learned to eat alittle slower and the sweets have been cut way back..prolly not as back as I should but alittle...I think my challange is the whole eating every three hours...Anyway...back to the Dr for a fill and then 2 days of liquids and 2 days of soft...what a better place to do that but at a friends...Goin on a Mini for me vacation to the old neighborhood...lol I can do this!!!
  3. Egg white/spinach/avacado Omlette (or something that looked like an Omlette) Very good! Gettting the hang of this healthy eating!

  4. We all have to do what right for US not Mom or Brother or anyone else. Yes they love you and they care and yes you probably could do this on your own BUT! Is it what you want..Im gonna tell you right now it is not easy!!! It's been 2 years since I had mine and I have lost maybe 50 lbs BUT I also havnt done all I can to help loose it..I have relyed on the band alone, and that is not the way this thing works. As far as you haveing a Psych eval! Why havent you? That is a requirement I believe your insurance company has you have...Granted I had mine over the phone..along with my nutritional "training"..However I didn't have the sleep test that alot of Banders have had..If anything the rethinking should come because of the Surgeon..I hope you didn't call 1800 get thin! I think they push people in and out of Surgery so fast...I would look into maybe another consultation..and go from there.. It does take alot of preperation on your part..learing to eat healthy, slow, every 3 hours, 1 cup at a time...liquid diets! vitamins protein shakes! I mean I am in no way telling you not to do this..I feel soo much better with the 50 lbs that I have lost I wouldn't have changed anything..BUT I do wish that my nutritional training would have been more than the 15 minute phone call with an "expert".. You know you! Can you do this! I personally feel like you can..maybe not right away..I mean like I said its been 2 years for me and I ask myself evertime my food gets stuck! evertime I hicup, evertime I vomit..Was it worth it? I AM WORTH IT! and you are too..I am hear if you want to vent ask questions or what ever..Good luck to you! Nikki

    Peanut Butter...means More Protein!!

    I looked into the Bell Plantation and the prices are great..But Im not happy with the protien intake..Is is 5gms per tablespoon or per serving? ..I understand mine has alot of calories but if It's being replaced as a meal, shouldn't that be alright? I get 10grms with my powder and 7gms from the peanut butter......I quess with that many calories being saved I could just use more than just the 2 tablespoons of the plantation huh? Cuz yeah 310 calories is alot! But it is sooo good lol

    Got the advice from a fellow bander to mix Peanut Butter in with my Vanilla Protein powder..I thought why not Chocolate? Soooo Goood! My boyfriend loved it too! Guess I gotta buy the bigger Peanut Butter Jars from now on... If you havent already and you are looking for something new..Try it !

    Name Change

    Not that this probably matter to anyone BUT..I thought I would let those that read my blogs about the name change... For ever!!!! I looked for that special someone! When I started my email account and needed to come up with a screen name, I figured on lkn412luv translation lookin for one to love...However now..this site seems to be the perfect place to change that! I have met someone..we are goin on 4 years in July and he has loved me FOR ME..even before I knew he did. We worked together and wernt really freinds..Lol I just tolorated him I guess you could say..one day he sent me a text message asking me out...all of me!..He has been very supportive in my journey and does everything possible to get me thru the rough times. SO needless to say the name changed from lkn412luv to FndSum12luvme... Just thought I would share!

    Thanx for the encouragement..I am new to this site and didn't know that I had any responses to my blog. I just saw them on the side of my blog I did today..Lol I'm learning. Thank you for the idea's with protien..IDK why I didn't think about Peanut Butter...Yum with Chocolate!!!! Anyway..I know this all takes time and I pretty much have a lot of the tricks down..Parking further away (my son hates that) small plates (thanks to my boyfriend) and I tryed the powder in my coffee the other day..pretty good! I am def gonna check out the sites you spoke of. Thanks again

    This Seemed To Help Me!

    This is day one of the soft foods after my unadjustment on Wednesday..I have to say..it feels good to sleep without the acid reflex! One of my biggest problems is that I eat too fast. My Dr suggested I start a food diary..what I eat when and how long it takes me to finish.. I thought ok? I'll write I ate in 5 minutes..lol how is that gonna help? My best friend suggested I read a book while I eat..IF I enjoyed to read, that might work... Walking around the Dollar Tree yesterday I found one of many word search and crossword puzzle books...Hmmmm! I bought a Large Print (lol i'm gettin old) book and started with page 1. At the top I put the date, time and what I was eating in this case Oatmeal ( I found an active living weight control brand..180 cal 40from fat, 1gm sugar, 8gm protein 7gm fiber..and it was actully pretty good). I finished the 1st page faster than I did my Oatmeal but just continued to the next page and carried over the times only this time I recorded what time I started this Puzzle.. When finished I recorded the time I was done eating and all in all how long it took me to eat. 18 minutes...pretty good for someone who last week would have ate the bowl in 6mins. This is just a small step to my better eating Hopefully someone else can benifet from my tool.

    Late Start Today!

    Last night I was trying to swat a mosquito and of course threw my back out AGAIN!! It was soo hard to find a comfortable position to sleep in last night! Getting up this morning was not on the top of my To~do list. I managed to crawl out about 11...shower...lite cleaning and I don't feel as bad as I thought I would.. Protien Shake and off to Walmart for a new Microwave!! Ya!!! I am gonna look for some flavorless protein powder too..These shakes arent so bad just limited to Vanilla and Chocoalte ( thats what I have). Happy Saint Patricks Day everyone!

    Good luck to you! I know it is hard sweets are my weekness and I am my worse support group...I told my Dr I had no idea how I could eat as much as I do and not feel full or sick..he said sugar disolves in your mouth so you have no back up!! UUUGGHH!!!..lol Have you tryed the special k snacks or the nabisco 100 cal packs? I think they are pretty good..If you have to have it..I refuse to give up on all my sweets..I am just gonna protion them as much as I can..I am dreading Easter too..BUt I did put the peeps I was gonna buy back on the shelf!..ya me!
