Lapband And Hair Loss
I didn't have any hair loss during my process. I did have the confedance to grow my natrual hair out. No longer dieing my hair it's healthier then ever. When you do eat make sure what you eat counts and it's healthy. Im sure if the amount you are able to eat was all junk food instead of good healthy food you may have problems like that.

Need Advice From The Veterans
Hey.... Well it sounds like you can be a little tight there. You can leave it that way for some time. You will have a good day here and there where you can eat more and over some time it will even open more. There will still be many days you may not be able to eat much more then soup. In thoughs cases make sure you are making a really good broth. If you pressure cook things the softer and jucier things are the easier they are to go down. Take your time, be patient with your self. Your not slipped it just sounds like you are a little tight, Hope this helps. Tiffany

In Need Of Some Support
Feel free to write anytime, I am trying to get some good support systems going. Be patient with your self, you are not in your green zone yet so your not restricted. You should try eating slow, setting down each bite after taking. avoid high carb sugar, and empty calorie liquides. you must burn more calories then you intake. So if you do make mistakes make up with exercise.

Tiffany Next Journey
TiffanyMcarroll posted a blog entry in When do you stop being a patient, and start being a normal person again?Yesterday was the start of a new journey for me. A client/gastric bypass paitent asked...." When do you stop being a patient and start being a normal person again?" My first answer is that you are always a patient. From a Dr point of view that may be correct. There are many out there that either the band does not take in thier body or eventually some need to have it taken out. I hold a stand so that thes people may have some support to make sure they need no other surgeries, My Life Is My Message. I no longer hold any liquid inside my band, making my stomech normal again. My goal is to maintain my wieght, Concur any new stuggels with this journey. If this can help one person out there, Its worth every step. A great thanks to all of the supportive people out there. Remember One Step At A Time! Be patient with your self. Most of all LOVE YOU! BE YOU! Tiffany C

I'm New
I am sorry I didnt get this sooner. Well Getting an adjustment is usally a smooth process. When you have a good dr. he knows where your portal is located. He will numb you and then connect with your portal. If your Dr is not doing great it may take him a long time to find your portol if he gets it at all. This can leave you feeling sore and little sick to your tummy. Make sure you know your DR. With a good dr Ive never had a problem. I have seen bad DR.s Hope this helps Tiffany

I'm New
The green zone can be a little confusing to fond. I thought I was there a couple of times. Once I ended up to tight and once I went back a refilled I was all good. When you know how to control the band and work with it. You are in your green zone... Be sure to drink plenty of liquids without empty calories...

Best Scar Cream?
Mederma is good but you have to use it all the time. my Scar celoaded(Not sure on speeling... When scar tissue boubels ontop of skin), Keeping it out of the sun and massage cross fibering the tissue will help to break up and make a scar smaller without cream. even better with. Hope this helps

First Fill?
You have about 1 cc in your band after surgery. This allows your stomech to heal properly. The first 2 weeks I was not hungery at all. About the 3 to 4th week my appitite came back a little. At 4 week out you are adjusted... at that time the dr all do things a litle differnt. This is good for you to learn to eat slow. If they adjusted you to fast you would have a hard time adjusting to your new way of eating. Learn about what you are putting into your body.

5 Fills And Only 3.5Cc ??!?
I understand coast factor... You really should not pay to close attention to how many ccs you have. You want to be able to eat. Choose better food and take your time see if you are satisfied. I have about 6 ccs in my band. lost most my wieght around 4 ccs. I help this helps you. try to go little longer inbetween fills if you can.
