You should try bell plantation powdered peanut butter, they have chocolate flavored peanut butter kind, you can google search it and probably find it in your area. It cuts down the fat and the calories, I add it to everything, greek yogurt, my shakes, I love it best thing ever made! It's 45 calories a serving. 1.5 grams of fat per 2 TBSP.

I looked into the Bell Plantation and the prices are great..But Im not happy with the protien intake..Is is 5gms per tablespoon or per serving? ..I understand mine has alot of calories but if It's being replaced as a meal, shouldn't that be alright? I get 10grms with my powder and 7gms from the peanut butter......I quess with that many calories being saved I could just use more than just the 2 tablespoons of the plantation huh? Cuz yeah 310 calories is alot! But it is sooo good lol

I use the Bell Plantation with my Pure Protein Vanilla Creme Powder, I add the entire packet most days (only 890 calories and 10 gms of protein, so half of a serving of real peanut butter and more protein) plus, 1/3 cup 100% Liquid Egg Whites. I mix mine with 6ozs of water and a cup of ice. To mix it up sometime, I use half a banana and only half packet of the PB Powder and 1 Tablespoon of real Peanut Butter. The only reason I use the Bell Plantation is because of fat content of real peanut butter. I like my protein shake to be between 25 and 40 gms of protein if they are going to replace a meal, that way they keep me full longer. I also add unflavored Pure Protein (from Bariatriceating.com to my hot or iced Starbucks Skinny Carmel Machhiato) I try to mix my drinks up as much as possible so not to get board. But by far the peanut butter in the vanilla or chocolate powder is my favorite. I think you are fine using real peanut butter as long as your under your fats daily.

Good Morning,

I my scheduled surgery date is 4/17 (pending insurance approval) and I have started to incorporate protein shakes in my diet this week and next week I will have them for breakfast. The following week and pre-op week I will have them for breakfast and lunch. So far I have just tried Muscle Milk Light Vanilla Creme and its pretty tasteless. After reading above i have an idea of mixing some PB and ice with it in a blender and see if that makes a difference. Any other suggestions for good protein drinks? Open to all ideas!!!!
