Sleeved 2-16-13 lost 46lbs... extremly happy with the results

Sleeved on 2/19. Weight before surgery 261. Day of surgery 251. Now I weigh 221. Doing good but I hit a stall. Can't wait to get to the 190's.

Sleeved 2/20/13 and down from 224 DOS to 198 today. Thrilled so far and anxious for more

I drink soda... but rarely and MUCH less than I did presleeve. I don't ever tell myself NO any particular food or drink but I do limit my quantity. So far so good. Over a year out and I haven't gained a pound... in fact I'm still losing. Btw I had a half cup of soda today.

Here's an early update. I'm still just 9 weeks out but I'm loving my results so far. Trying to remain active and exercise. In tracking everything on MFP. I wish I could get my carb intake down more and my Protein intake up but this is truly a learning process. The first picture is a week before surgery 2/2013 and the second pic is last week 5/2013.

Down 45lbs! Loving it!

Your feeling is sooooo Normal. My first 2 weeks post op I had a lack of appetite. And now your new stomach is a slightly swallone. So your going to have these dull feeling after 2 bites...in the beginning I didn't want food. I had to remember I had to eat. As long as your getting your Protein Shakes in, your good to go. In about 2 weeks or so you will eat alittle more. And I had the same problem with looking forward to eat something but after a couple bites u can't finish. Thats your old self getting upset, not the new you!

Since I'm a slow loser I tell people that I've been watching my calories and portion sizes, which is true! I measure my food everyday. Most people wouldn't suspect that I've had surgery since the pounds aren't melting off but they do notice the healthy rate of weight loss and that's no different than my diet attempts. I don't feel the need to tell everyone because this is my health and not everyone is entitled to know every little thing about my life. When I was younger I felt like I had to be open and honest with everyone and now that I'm maturing, I realize that I am entitled to my privacy. In my case the pounds didn't just melt off without effort. I've been fighting for every single pound that I've lost and wls is only a TOOL. With this tool I can easily stay the same weight or gain but it's ME thats decided that I wanted to do what it takes to make it work.

Time for Payless. They'll be worn out in 6months, just in time for a good pair.

8 months ago I weighed 237 pounds....today 155! I am 5 pounds away from goal!! I'm so excited! I eat anything and everything. I don't restrict myself but I do pay attention to what my body tells me. I don't do well with breads and pastas or red meat. I will eat it from time to time...whenever I get a craving but seafood seems to do better with my new tummy.

I personally believe Dr. Garcia could be more expensive if he worked out of a larger, more upgraded facility. I wouldn't be surprised if his price increased over the next year or two. He is a fantastic surgeon and his team is amazing. Good luck with whomever you choose

These past 7 months have been great & a lot of changes for that have made my life so much better. Wish I could of had this surgery done sooner in life , oh well , I'm living it up now. I can be that fun, energetic mom to my kids now. I can that happy wife to my husband , I can be proud of who I am & not be ashamed of letting myself go after having kids. I'm proud of what I've accomplished & who cares if I had surgery to solve the problem , I'm the one who took the risk , not anyone else. I'm the one healthy now. Here are my pics from before to the present.

Six months was just yesterday. Started out 220, now 153. It's 68 lbs down. I can eat just about anything except salmon. I do also have alcohol which slows my weightloss. I do miss my taste buds but am glad of my decision! And when I say eat anything, I mean like two or three bites, excellent restriction!

I drink with my meals. Idk if I will regret it later. I also drink Coke Zero all the time. I'm a bad influence so don't do as I do!

Amytug, I have noticed that too.. there is on Dr. I have researched on here where it seems like all of his patients lose faster than others. Plus I dont see a lot of weightloss checkins from Dr. Garcia's patients, you know like 6months later, now I am going with him, because I have researched and researched, watched youtube and spoken with Alma and the whole nine. I just want to know, what a few patients progress is down the line.

Got sleeved on february 11 and ive lost 94 lbs. Feels like its just flying off. I've gone from a 48 to a 38 waste size, and i feel fantastic. Besides my moobs, ive got nothing to complain about.

So I've been obsessing about the scales lately because I've hit the dreaded stall. But I noticed my clothes fitting a lot bigger lately. So I decided to try on a few pairs of jeans and pants in my closet. And they ALL zipped up!!!! Every single last one of them. Even the ones I thought wouldn't get past my thighs. I'm so beyond thrilled. Pretty soon they won't fit because they are too big!

You can never have a sip of anything carbonated........not true.

I was able to wear heels again at 4 weeks out. Before then I always had to travel with two pairs of shoes, a pair of flats to change into. Now I wear them all day with no issues.

9 Weeks out and back to wearing heals, went to a bridal shower yesterday, and kept them on all night!
