Gaining Weight Rapidly!
I learned something interesting on a obesity documentary on HBO. If 2 people the same exact height and weight eat the same exact meals, but one was previously over weight and the other has always been normal, the person who has lost weight has to eat 20% less to not gain weight. The Doctor said this is forever....because after losing weight our body is always trying to get back to that previous point.

A Question For Smokers
Its been just over 48 hours since my last ciggarette. I have been using an electronic ciggarette, but its nicotine free. It is helping with the anxiety. I am hoping in the next 2-3 days I will be off the electronic cig too. Doc put me on Wellbutrin last week but I dont notice a difference. It has been SUPER stressful at work too. Lissa, what do you mean it almost killed you?

Hair Loss Before Surgery?
Anyone have advice on this topic? I already have thinning hair due to PCOS. I am very self conscience about it, It is s little bit noticble in the front bangs area. (especially when wet). I am worried I dont have much left to lose if the surgery makes it worse? Any advice or stories to share about this?

Cigna Revised Policy
if you read what I highlighted in red you will see that the requirements are: 1. You have participated in a minumum 3 month supervised diet in the last year. 2. the rest of the evaluations must have been completed in the last 6 months, this is your recommendations /clearances ect.

- Required 2 Year Weight History?! Uh Oh.
- Required 2 Year Weight History?! Uh Oh.
Well I cancelled all my upcoming appointments today. Went to dinner tonight and checked my voicemail and the insurance coordinator left me a message. As of this month cigna has not been requiring the weight history beyond that of the 6 month diet. Im excited! Now we have to figure out if we can afford the deductable- Required 2 Year Weight History?! Uh Oh.
How did you prove the time period of the pictures? I have been batteling my weight for about 7-8 years. I pretty much avoided pictures and the few i do have don't dates on them?- Required 2 Year Weight History?! Uh Oh.
I went for my first appointment today and the insurance coordinator told me all the necessary things I need for my insurance to cover surgery. I have a bmi of 41 at the moment, but no other issues. Problem is my isurance (Cigna PPO) requires my BMI to be 40 or over for the last two years. Well it hasn't been. I got married last year and the 2 years prior I was dieting hard core so my weight up and down and my BMI was probably only 37-39 at any of my Dr's visits. When I got engaged a couple years ago I was around 230lbs, then off and on over our engagment I bounced around from 200-230lbs. On my wedding day I weighed 216. Now I am up to 250lbs a year later. I am so disaHe surgeons office wants me to do all these tests and they want me to continue with the 6 month supervised diet and hope that we can get me approved, but now I am thinking it will really suck to go through all of it and be denied. Has anyone else had this 2 year weight history over 40 BMI be an issue even if they were only a couple points off? Just want to know the good the bad the ugly.- My Surgery Is Tomorrow Morning
Prayer said girl!!! Just keep visualizing the healthy and fit you that youre going to be soon!!!- Second Thoughts
Sorry you are having a hard time.....but one thing i have learned from reading these boards is that we all need to change the way we think or the relationship we have with food. Yes it is hard anf yes you will have moments of regret...but in the end....your way of eating will change....you will feel better. When you look in the mirror you will see the person who was hiding behind that relationship with food. You will build a better and more meaningful relationship with health and confidence. We all have to let go....we have to let go of what is hurting our bodies and health. Just think about what this journey is really about....its about you and changing your lifestyle so you can be around for a very long time feeling great. I think you have to follow your heart....but just make sure craving and addiction isnt making the decision for you. Best wishes to you.- When To Return To Work
Sorry about the typos everyone lol. I just havent been at my job for very long and i dont want to take more than 4-5 days off. I figure since i sit all day it would probably be ok to return. I will probably just tell everyone i am having my gallbladder removed- When To Return To Work
Just tryying to see whwn people felt good to return to work. I will not have any vacation by then or atleast not more than 3-4 days. I plan to take a full 7 work days off and i have a desk jib? Is that realistic?- What Is Everyone Looking Forward To?
Omg....another biggie for me....I CANT WAIT TO BUY JEANS AND THE DAMN ZIPPER STAYS UP!!!!!SO TIRED OF HAVING TO WEAR A SAFTY PIN TO KEEP IT UP!!! LOL - Required 2 Year Weight History?! Uh Oh.
