9. Biotin! and I hve read iron helps as well. Talk to your Dr's office to make sure you can take them and how much
10. I am so sorry you are feeling badly. The best thing you can do is talk to your surgeon and keep trying new things. What you toleraated before surgery may be different now post op. Also talk to your nutritionist and see if they can also help. Best wishes!
11. I am on day three.....and I am finally feeling good! I had a horrible headache the first two days. Probably sugar and caffine withdrawls! It will get better ladies! Drink lots of water!

I am on day 3 of my liquid diet, THe first two days were HELL with terrible headaches, day three isn't bad at all...but here it is fellow VST'ers.....I have become total food stalker!!! I have been researching all kinds of receipes and foods for post op. Had to walk all over Sams Club today and see what kinds of foods I can eat and how much Protein things have. Im in total food porn mode! I havent cheated one bit...and the food I am looking at, researching, writing down, and licking my lips over is all healthy protein options.......but it still feel scandalous. LOL
13. This is a very personal journey for you, and your boss was extremely out of line! My guess is that confronting her on the issue will only make matters worse and you said that you need your job. You could always go to HR, but that isn't always the best idea either/ depending on your company. Good luck to you and I wish you much success!
14.
OMG Nevermind after a week I finally figured it out. For some weird reason the option was hidden on my phone. Logged in to the computer and saw where it was supposed to be and just clicked on the same spot on my phone. There it was!

17. Hi everyone! I am the original poster of this thread. I am not about 2 weeks from surgery! YAY! Well ....my intention was to keep this a secret from most everyone....and them something happened....i started feeling like I was filled with anxiety over keeping it all inside. So I first told a couple girls at work....reactions were a little shocked and scared but after I explained everything and all the research I have done ect...they are supportive. Told the inlaws tonight and they had questions but are backing me up. I think my MIL was a bit hurt that I thought she wouldnt be supportive. Anywho thats it.....everyone knows. IT IS A HUGE RELIEF!
18. Congrats! I too love this post. Its exactly what I needed to hear. I am having surgery in a couple weeks!
19. I told a few coworkers and if the rest find out....oh well. My husband is telking his parents. He is going to tell them when I am not there and ask them to be nothing but supportive. I Hmhave spent thousands of hours researching this surgery. I know the risks and advantages and together we made the decision. He is also going to ask my mil to not tell anyone as this is a personal matter and I do not particularly like my medical information to be shared with people I am not close to.
20. Omg! You look great. You need to have those eyes checked lol
21. I would go ahead and do your 6 months diet if your new insurance will cover bariatric surgery. Mine as well start now! My insurance only required the supervised diet be completed in the last year.
22. Instead of focusing on the number, focus on body fat percentage. That is my plan, more muscle...less fat. According to the BMI chart I should be about 150 for normal (im 5'6 as well). Last year I worked out with a trainer and he measured my body fat with a machine. He said my ideal weight should be 170. The trainer said ideally he wanted me to put on a good 7-10 lbs of muscle
23. 6 months flew by. I started researching around Christmas, had my first appointment a few months later,3 months of supervised diet, and it feels like yesterday I was just starting to research. When I was finishing up all my appointments/clearances ect I kept wanting the process to SLOW DOWN. haha felt like my head was spinning. Good luck to you on your journey. My advice is to use the 6 months to PREPARE and RESEARCH the heck out of the surgery and the new life you will be living!
24. I am so sorry you are having a hard time. Sending good vibes your way. I think age is just a number when taking into consideration maturity. I think that I would let my daughter have this surgery at 16 if she showed me how responsible she was. i would make her begin the rituals of Protein first, Vitamins, meal planning, exercising months before surgery so that I could see if she was ready. Good luck to you hun.
25. Hooray!!!!!! Congrats! I know its a big relief when we get the approval.
