  1. You look great! Congrats!
  2. WOW! Awesome!
  3. I guess my expectations may be different than some. Im going out of the country for surgery. I don't expect to hear from these people ever again unless I contact them specifically. Once I leave Mexico, I don't expect emails or phone calls. I expect to get what I'm paying for, and they will move on to the next group. As long as my surgery is performed well, I'll do the work and follow up regularly with my PCP. I wouldn't get much more than that in the states unless I paid for some bariatric docs extended program. I make it sound kindof back alley lol, not the way its meant but I guess I just see it as a way to get what I can't afford here.
  4. It is confusing. I was dealing with Omar, he left. Now someone named Alina is answering the emails (same email address as before). So, I guess since I plan to stick with Kelly, I'll just go with the flow and figure out who is who after I get there. {Shrug} As long as I'm not left standing in San Diego airport, I'll be ok. Lol

A few select people know that I'm having the surgery. Its noone elses business unless I choose to tell them. If they ask, I will probably say diet and exercise..not a lie, just no details. I feel if they want to speculate, let them. I feel no obligation to divulge any other medical or personal info and they shouldn't feel that I have an obligation to do so.
  6. Wow!! U look great! Congrats
  7. Congrats! Glad to hear things went well. : )
  8. Now that I know, Ill have to chk out your blog sometimes. In your recipe you mention homemade taco seasoning. While I have ideas on spices, what do u use? Gotta try these shrimp! : )

  11. Welcome Doll. I hope you find the forums informative and supportive. Im still preop and can't wait to join you all in March. This site has been a great source for me and has helped me feel completely prepared. Good luck in your journey, look forward to seeing progress posts ; )
  12. Thanks for the positive post. I see some negative posts here (and some habitual)..but I've been here for a year and overall, I find MOST ppl to be supportive, informative, and generally ok..bar the occasional ruffled feathers that typically happens with so many diverse ideas and people. I read the negative experiences..keeps it real, and reminds me that my decision hasn't been made lightly and I should be ready to use this tool properly....but I skip over posters who always dwell on it. There are many posters I search out as well as sources of inspiration and positive support. I'm overall happy to have found this forum and will continue to seek support here post surgery in march.
