Hi
I was sleeved on January 10, 2013. I had watched a friend go through a successful gastric bypass. I did my research and felt that the sleeve was a better choice for me. My problem is that I don't know too many sleevers. I am sort of floating out here alone. So, I ended up here at this forum. I am from North Carolina. The whole process has gone smoothly. I started in July and was sleeved last Thursday. I am officially one week out. I feel almost normal. No real pain, except some in my throat from the breathing tube. I am getting my proteins in as well as my fluids. I guess my concern is how my experience is comparing with others. My other concerns -which may seem small-when I read other posts are my breath and my hair. I know it sounds crazy, but I work with kids. And they are brutally honest. If I go at them and my breath is kicking from ketoacidosis they are going to tell me and my day will likely go downhill. Currently I have great hair. I just decided to go natural with it. I simply don't want to lose it. Well, that is my introduction. I look forward to hearing from someone-ANYONE~ as this is an experience in which I do not want to continue vitually on my own.
