  1. Keep it up! Not easy, but will be way worth it! I'm 27 days so far. Haven't killed anyone yet..maimed maybe, but no deaths. Lol the patch is helping alot.
  2. I have Opurity vites and calcium.. which I'll use in desperation. Too expensive to throw away. They're NASTY. To add to the info prior: I bought HPF liquid vites and mineral sup, taste good. No stomach issues even on empty. Been using for several months now. Also their liquid glucosamine/chondroitin sup, and Wellesse liquid calcium vit D..Just think I will tolerate them better postop.
  3. *insert look of dread* lol Short..I'm 5'0 and about 204 today.
  4. Congrats Frank! You're doing awesome. Being off the meds is a huge NSV. As I understand it, a 3-4 week stall is very common. Along with a few random ones along the path. Some ppl swear by changing up the workout routine, upping protein or even increasing cals by just a bit bumps them out of the stalls. But everyone seems to hit that dreaded 3-4 wk wall. You'll break through. Don't panic. Good luck!
  5. Great! I'll be headed to TJ Mexico with Dr. Kelly March 28th. 2 months..feeling real and getting excited! Best wishes and we'll have to keep in touch: )
  6. Queen, you look amazing! Congrats. I agree, overall VST is a great place. Ill be sleeved in March. This site is an amazing resource. One that has made me feel prepared for what will or may happen. One I feel I can get support from or a kick in the pants..if needed. ; )
  7. Chesterfield here too. Woodlake area. But I won't be sleeved until March 28th. Mexico bound. Its been awhile since I've been on this thread. So great to see some of you made it to the losers bench. : )
  8. Dr. Clark did my moms sleeve Sept 25. He's awesome and so careing. Wish I could get mine with him but I'm mexico bound..employer exclusion.
  9. You look wonderful and so happy!! Congratulations!
  10. That's great! I can't wait to benefit from the greater physical abilities and mobilities! Heck...once I can shave my legs without holding my breath will be a day to celebrate lol
  11. So, I filed my taxes and applied for a small 401K loan to cover the difference. The funds will be available for my surgery with Dr. Kelly in mx on March 28th. I guess my next step will be flight arrangements. My mom who was sleeved here on Sept 25th will go with me. Wow. Now it seems definate. I think I have little butterflies in my tummy. I guess soon they'll have less room to flutter. I'm prepared and excited now. This is so cool. I've been on VST for a year now. Followed your experiences, watched your progress. Been happy and frustrated for so many of you. Learned from you. Now, I feel like my journey to the losers bench is for REAL. : ) Just had to share my moment.
  12. 5'0, 206..will be sleeved March 28 w/ Dr. Kelly
  13. Amazing progress! Congrats!
  14. Great job! You look fantastic!
  15. Wow! That's great. Congrats!
  16. Sure. There are alot of older threads about post surgery preparations. Of course, much depends on your docs program. Ill be coming home on liquids, my mom came home with a green flag. Anything she could handle. Here are my preps so far: Syntrax samples(protein) Unjury chicken protein Matrix and Oh yeah and Musclemilk light(meal replacements) Syntrax unflavoured Anywhey unflavored Better than bullion (chicken) Vegetable broth Digital food scales blender Torrani SF Syrup Miralax Liquid vite, B12 sublingual, liquid calcium and D3. GasX I froze some homemade broths and chili when I had leftovers. It sounds like alot, but I haven't stocked heavy in these things. Just to get me started that first couple weeks. Hard to know what u will tolerate after surgery so no point in wasting too much $.
