Now I wait. I have UPMC for You, which is medical assistance here in Pa. I had some issues with weight gain during the 6 month diet because of a severely abnormal TSH level, so I'm a little concerned about approval. Hopefully the letter from my PCP helps that. Fingers crossed. And toes. And eyes..........

    The "hurry up and wait" phase is the worst. I was nervous about getting insurance approval, and it finally happened today. The only thing I was waiting on was for my PCP to write a letter of medical necessity. We have been waiting on this letter for 2 weeks. Today, my insurance co finally said just a referral would work. Ugh. Got everything in and approved just in time for surgery on MONDAY! It will happen for you, but the waiting does stink.Hang tight, before you know it surgery day will be here.

    Eight months of hardships and I was approved!!!!!!!!!!
