Would You Do The Gastric Sleeve Again?
Hey, Barb! Welcome. I don't know how many responses you'll get in pre-op. You might try reporting in the post-op thread. You can also do a search for something like "would you do it again"? I know I've seen at least two different threads like that. Good luck on your Quest.

Dairy Allergy?
I've been doing a lot of research into Protein and noticed there are soy and vegan protein powders out there. I haven't tried them as I have no problem with dairy at the moment. I found them in high end grocery and health food stores (Whole Foods, Vitamin Shoppe, etc.) You might want to try one of these. I do know that Vitamin Shoppe and GNC will let you return anything you don't like. Plus Vitamin Shoppe has a free club card that gives you money back based on how much you spend. Lots of luck!

Scared Of Operation
Operations and hospitals can be very scary. You're letting someone else have control of your body. But it will be over so quickly and you'll be so happy you did this. Keep your eye on the prize!

Psych Eval
I would guess that means they want to have you do some written tests. They take about an hour or so to complete, then the psychologist goes over it with you. My daughter did this a few years ago to get a diagnosis of OCD and it cost me about $300 with insurance! Good luck! I have my psych eval on the 14th so hopefully that will be one of the last steps to getting ready to be sleeved.

Can I Use An Artificial Sweetener?
I'm pretty sure there are store brands of Truvia available. Just look for stevia on the label.

One Week Away!
Congratulations! I'm still a couple of months away so I always have a mix of happiness and envy whenever anyone posts about their date. You'll do great. There's a pinned thread somewhere on the board called frequently asked questions and it goes over how to get your ticker working. Or you can put "ticker" into the search field. Good luck!

Magnesium Citrate
Good luck with this! As I advise anyone doing the bowel prep, make sure you have personal wipes (with aloe!) and Neosporin. It will help!

Advice ?!?!
If you think the pain was gall bladder related, I would recommend getting it checked out. A lot of sleevers wind up getting them removed due to the change in diet, quick weight loss, etc. If the gallbladder is bad, they can remove it while you're getting sleeved. Don't fool around with that, it can land you in the er.

Good luck! You'll do great.- Just Got Back From The Doctors Office
Good luck to all of your tomorrow. Irishmamma, I would definitely recommend personal wipes and Neosporin! That bowel prep kit does not play.- Omg
And play on a swing. I've missed that feeling of freedom that comes from swinging back and forth.- Getting Post Op Stuff Together
I know this question was for KZBen, but I thought I'd put my two cents worth in. For me, there just seemed like a whole lot of ingredients that others don't. I assume those ingredients make up the extra calories. But like someone else said, you're not going to be in danger of taking in too many calories right off so if you like the taste, that's the most important thing. I guess that's why there are so many brands to choose from. Different strokes for different folks!- Omg
Furby, that's so funny! I mean, I'm sorry you got scared but now that you're safe, that's a great story.- Omg
