  1. Glad it worked for you, that type of setting isnt for everyone, and I wanted a Dr with impeccable credentials, and an iron clad standard of care, as I was going on my own, leaving 4 kids and a husband to come home to. His plan wasnt for me, and I felt more comfortable in a hospital, not dogging, but im not alone in this.
  2. Cool deal for iPhone users!
  3. The best stuff that you can buy locally, is pure protien. Its 20 bucks @ Walmart, for a large container, and it comes in chocolate and vanilla. Both flavors are good!
  4. I think that what you are both trying to say is, thst omar was super busy, regardless of the whos and hows of it. I took two family membrrs with me, but they both had surgery slong with me. Imho, taking 3 ppl is fine, but having Omar do anything for them, (whether he offered or not) was taking him from his patients, and they are the ones paying for care. No need to tit for tat, that's not what the poster was asking, and it doesnt hold well for Dr Kellys impeccable credentials, or make Omar shine in the best light. And thats what should be at the forefront here.
  5. Its probably gas. Be sure to take your antacids, and sip sip sip.
  6. So glad to hear! So, all of this was just a blessing in disguise (hugs)
  7. Thank you Blondee, I have heard about the dreaded 3wk stall, but of course, I swore I'd gey around it, lol. Im not stressed, but I'd br lying if I said I wasn't frustrated. Protien first is gosoel for this girl! xo
  8. It makes sense, because the calories you get in the first weeks aren't really enough to support a lot of exercise. I was wondering if my swimming had played in my stall...
  9. I totally agree Deb! I do not weigh daily, I only weigh on Mondays and Thursdays. I have changed my habits as much as possible in this early stage. We are at the same stage, and you have lost a bit more than me, however, I dont know your bmi, age, height, etc. I know all of us are different, and all of us lose at different rates because of different factors. Im not beating myself up over the stall, just looking for advice from all of you kind people! Thanks for the oep talk
  10. Great advice! I do measure almost everything! I decided to go back to 2 protien shakes a day, and no more potato salad ( I fed it all to the the dogs, lol). My biggest problem is getting in my fluids. Im going to make an earnest effort to up my fluids by a cup every few days, til im at 8 a day. I know that over 25 pounds in two weeks is great, but this stall for the last 9 days, sucks!
  11. I feel ya, since last Wednesday, I havent lost but a pound, so I wait a few days, weigh again, and im up a pound, and the vicious cycle continues. I was really hoping to be down 30 pounds by my 30 days out, but that's not looking like it will be a reality :/
  12. Hi friends, I was sleeved June 9th, and im in my "soft food" stage. Needless to say, in the last 2-3 days, I have partaken in some potato salad, but other than that, ive been logging my cals on mfp, and been swimming 3x a week. What can I do to break this stall?
  13. I would just walk the halls when I had gas that wouldn't move. I honestly didnt think I walked all that much, but every one is different and there isnt a set amount of walking, just what you feel like you need!
  14. You're not so bad yourself! Thanks for the protien sampleds, the isopure, and enduring my endless texting! Im glad to have you as a friend!
  15. I was sleeved by Dr K on June 11th, and although I do not work outside the home, I was well enough to do all the house chores and keep up with my 3 young kids, right after sugery. My aunt (who is in her mid 50's) went back to her job, seven days after surgery, and has done very well. She did have to start using protien at ten days out, but other than that, no troubles! You'll do great!
  16. I just started a couple days ago. Its a mushie, just like cream of wheat, not supposed to have either until day 22 according to our diet. I havent had any today, and im going back to what yhe diet says, because I want desperately to succeed!
