  1. So, I have been on the pre op diet for 11 days, and have done pretty well. I've lost 13 pounds in those days, and I cheated once by eating a few bites of pizza. I felt so guilty that ive been to the letter since. Now, with the 3day clear liquids, I guess its just broth tea & jello? Im an hour from any gnc stores, so isopure is out of the picture. Does anyone have any tips to get through these last days?
  2. Try drinking the Jello for a difference, I do cuz cold jello doesnt fill me up, but the warm does
  3. Try drinking the Jello for a difference, I do cuz cold jello doesnt fill me up, but the warm does
  4. Get the small pkgs of the Walmart brand of sugar free jello. Its 20 cals and 4gr protein! Mix it IP according to the directions AND DRINK IT! warm liquids are more satiating than cold drinks or food. It has saved me from cheating many times! Get the wm brand because it has half of the calories as the brand name! Save cals and change, win/win lol
  5. I would speak to a jeweler and ask him how small your rings can be sized down to. I know some settings cant accommodate drastic downsizing without side jewels popping out
  6. How wonderful!! how much have you list total, if I can ask?
  7. Thanks for the reassurance! Finding, you can always text me, I have my 294 number working again
  8. I am flying out on Sunday, I feel just the same as you. Prayers going up xo
  9. Only a week away from surgery, and the nerves are setting in! I just went to get the cahiers check, and seeing all that money transferred to a piece of paper with Dr Kelly's name on it, has me in a swirl of emotions, from pure excitement to fear and worry. Ack!! Down almost ten pounds on my pre op one week in! So glad about that! Cant wait to meet my sleeve sisters and be on the losers bench!
  10. Thinking of all of you being sleeved this week, and praying for a smooth surgery & recovery! Hard to believe mine is next Monday. Kinda got nervous about it since im going away from my family to have this done, and just a bit scared that I wont see them again. My anxiety was super high last nifht, but I just prayed and today I'm doing good! I know its just nerves, and that I am in the hands of a highly skilled surgeon. I think it just got real for me that I will be flying out on Sunday..My aunt and cousin are being sleeved the same day as me, so im not alone! Good luck everyone
  11. us moms always seem to put themselves last. Thanks for always being so supportive! Xo
  12. Absolutely! Thanks for mentioning it for those who may not know! All the more reason to eat/drink jello!
  13. Deb, yes they are, but even 16oz isnt alot to drink during pre op, cals and protien are the same, no mater the water content I only used a cup of hot water to drink it down. I also found that the wal mart brand is 5 Cal per serving, the Jello brand is 10 cals! Save the money and go for the value brand!
  14. Hi! Mine is the 10th! I started out @ approx 20 days out with 2 protien drinks & a lean & green meal. I usually did the lean & green for lynch...then @ 10 days pre op I am doing a full liquid diet. Three shakes, broth and the jello water. Doing good, just hatd with all the graduation parties and backtatd bbqs weve been at lately! You can do it!
  15. If that's your personal preference, then yes! But all four servings to a small box equal 20 Cal and 4gr protien, and equal one cup. you could definitely drink/eat the whole thing without guilt pre op. Post op, I'd stick closer to a single serving though!
  16. My dear aunt that some of you have heard me speak of in the past, has given me a great little tip& I wanted to pass it on! Get a small pkg of SF jello (I bought the store brand/50cents) and mix it up according to directions and drink while its warm! Its 20cals and 4gr protien! It works great for in between meals to calm those pre op grumbles in your tummy! I know jello is on most of our pre op diets and it is more like a sweet treat. I found that eating the jello in the classic form wasnt as satisfying. Give this a try, and keep it in mind, for post op, by drinking half and refrigerating the rest for a classic treat later. I had heard of adding protien to jello, but it never occured to simply mix and drink warm! Enjoy!
  17. Jennifer! I saw that! It will be great to see all of you! 7 days til Mexico
  18. @Benjamin- I will keep that in mind when I am post op and at the full foods stage. I was sharing this for those who are pre op and on a liquid diet for a length of time, & finding themself hungry in between meals. Wish me luck, 7 days down, 7 to go until surgery!
  19. Cathy, I hear ya! Cant wait to meet you and Deb in a few days!!
  20. Ive seen about adding the unflavored protein to jello and such, but I have never heard of drinking it before it sets! Its a Nice change from broth and protein shakes, and the like. good advice, thanks!
  21. Thanks ladies! Im doing a 2wk pre op and im doing well, but it isnt easy for sure! Im not too nervous, since I have had a wonderful rapport with Dr Kelly and his fab staff. And all you great people on here have taken the fears way down! Just excited to finally have a great tool to help me be successful! Cheers
  22. My Aunt told me to make up a small box of sugar free jello, and drink it while its warm! Its very satisfying for those inbetween meal hunger pangs..20 Cal and 4 grams of protien! I bought the store brand jello for Like 50¢ a piece. Also will be good for when you are on your clear liquid phase! Make up the jello, pour a few ounces of the warm mix in a glass and refrigerate the rest for a classic.jello snack later! Enjoy
  23. What a great list! Thank you for your hars work putting this together! My date is the 11th, I must not have updated it. Thanks!
  24. First, I'd like to say that I'm glad to be back from my hiatus. I started my 2wk (by choice) pre op diet and had some serious detox going on about 2 days in. I am already down 5 pounds and doing well on my diet. I'm excited and anxious to finally be on my ten day countdown! Cant wait to meet Dr Kelly & his phenomenal staff! How are all of my sleeve sisters doing?
  25. that might be what she is saying. If you have more concerns, I'd call the office and talk about your concerns with them and only they can put your mind at ease. I cant remember which Dr almanza is, but if I were yoy, id check into the drs that beling to the facs and American bariatric association. There are 3-4 in Tijuana and Mexicali.
