  1. She has great information, but I do wish she had a "Recipes" section where one could look at All the names of the recipes in one place.
  2. The Premier protein powder is 100% whey isolate, which is what I use. But I also have on hand the RTD Premier shakes. To tell you the truth, I hadn't paid much attention to the ingredients, though. There are so many kinds of protein, it can be mind-boggling, can't it?!
  3. This post is perfect timing! Surgery was on 3/23/12, and I have barely lost 10 pounds. Bummed and discouraged.
  4. I'm in! I am so bummed this morning. Surgery was on 3/23/12, and from 3/31/12 to today I have only lost 1.6 pounds. Obviously I am doing something wrong .......looking forward to this challenge! SW 231.2 CW 231.2 GW 216.2 Sue
  5. He past cople of days I ave finally figured out that I feel mine on the left side of my neck down to my collar bone. NOT FUN!
  6. Just last night I realized the same thing! I justify my grazing by making good choices!!!
  7. Melanie, please know I am praying for you right now.
  8. Dooter, what a great way of expressing this......especially with the cancer analogy!
  9. That is wonderful news!
  10. Also, if you trim the large vein as close to the leaf as possible, it might keep the leaf from cracking. Speaking of wraps, I ran across this recipe yesterday. http://www.lifeasaplate.com/2011/03/24/thai-beef-lettuce-wraps/ I think you could easily substitute any meat or the roast, but they do sound yummy!
  11. They have been a lifesaver for me the past couple of weeks!
  12. Easter dinner will depend on if any of my family brings something over! My husband and I take care of my parents, who eat very little. I am 2 weeks post- op tomorrow, so I obviously won't eat much! And my husband is happy with a sandwich. Maybe I will just make egg salad!
  13. My very favorite is the Fage non-fat plain! If I want sweet I add some fruit to it; if I want savory, I will chop up some tomato and cucumber in it, align with this Garlic pepper mixture I get from Mountain Rose Herbs.
  14. I just finished telling my husband how thankful I am for sugar-free Popsicles! Sometimes I just need to chew!
  15. Or like the Apostle Paul said, "Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect." Romans 12:2 New Living Translation
  16. Simply beautiful!
  17. Ohmygosh.....my nose has been running non-stop! Weird!
  18. These are the two clues that I have either eaten too much, eaten too fast, or taken in something that just doesn't agree with me, like plain water. At least now I am able to interpret these signs instead of freaking out!
  19. So very glad to hear this! Isn't it amazing what one day can do?
  20. Oh, darn. I missed the fun, too!
  21. Prior to surgery I was a major water drinker. Not any more! It makes me semi-nauseous, so now I just make sure it has something in it, or I drink decaf tea .
  22. YAY for you! What an accomplishment!
  23. Stories like yours are what keep me excited about this new journey I am on! Thank you!
