Hi good luck with fluid diet I had my bypass 3 years ago and after a failed band. You will do great just follow your surgeons advice and you dietician. I lost 12 stone in all have 10 off currently recently diagnosis with thyroid problem. But don’t regret having the surgery

We were out at mums so no left overs either I am 14 weeks out bypass tried small amount Christmas pud after turkey and veg wrong move too heavy and felt too full, lesson learnt at least I could not eat any thing else X

Yes eating slow is hard my dietician wants Me to stop shakes but I don't think I can make the 60 without my one shake made with total Greek yogurt each day. Other than that he really happy with my progress. The next 4 weeks are going to be a challenge. Festive meals and treats every where only safe place is our house. So glad I have the bypass as this will keep sugary treats at arms length : ) keep in touch guys

Hi I am in Scotland, NHS revision band to bypass done 16th September 2015. I use Phd diet whey as its so low in Carbs. 39lb in 12 weeks will keep a look out for other uk people x

Pre-Surgery Eating Habits
I agree starting to slow down before is a great idea and I always cut up my protien into small bits. If I am over hungry I tend up eat too fast and end up stuck x luckily as I chew well and the hits are small the uncomfortableness only lasts 10 mim only had 4 stuck episodes.

Losing Weight To Quick?
I too have lost 58lb post band in 14 weeks, I lost 60lb on pre op diet weight loss slowed down slightly in the last 3 weeks. Just follow your plan and exercise.

I still take vitamins and my dietician asks me every visit. I don't plan to stop x

Is It Normal??
I try to focus on real hunger not head hunger 60 plus protien but don't think am extra 100 Cals is ant thing to worry about and 20lb in a month is great x

Met my may weight loss goal early 4 pound loss this week that's 40 9 weeks post surgery and 100 pound including pre operation 6 month diet . Feel like a new woman however another 100 to go 261 today x

I started walking 30 mim a day but I was very unfit and overweight it's only now having lost 100lb 60 pre surgery and 40 post that I am looking at gym to tone and increase cardio hope this helps x

Non Scale Victory
Great non scale victory today required new bra and went to marks and spencers for a fitting was wearing 48 dd and today 40 e my boobs are now supported and not at my knees lol have not bought anything from M & S since I was 18 woo hoo banded 14th march lost 35 lb from op 60 pre op. Hope other are having small non scale victories

Band Size
I got a large band I beleive it's based on how large your stomach is I have a 14cc band. So I assume the larger you are the bigger the band.

Confused
I Have also lost in the first 7 weeks post op 32lb however it's been purly by following my dietitians guidelines I have been very hungry but know if I hang in there restriction will come, had my fist fill not sure if I have restriction yet ad back on liquids but hope to have a litle but only time will tell moving on to mushies today.

Post Surgery
Not mime 4 weeks full liquid before mushies for 2 weeks then soft for 2 weeks then normal. 1 week away from normal food and having fill tomorrow so back to liquid for a few days x
