  2. hey join the club! I am going back to college (hopefully, if I get a place!) in October, to study Psychology mainly cos it's cheaper to become one than to pay one!!! And I'm a beach house in florida for a shrink! Hey when/if I qualify, i'll fix you for free xxxx
  3. Lisa, I know there was a thread before about stripper names, but we used to say to get your stripper name you use your first pet's name and your mother's maiden name...voila - your stripper name! Maybe you could change your name to that!?
  4. no probs Lisa - just QUIT deleting stuff! I love reading the first thing that comes out of your head instead of the edited version! Babs - well done on quitting smoking - hope the gas goes away!

are you people kidding? A fish slice = an egg flip? Thing for turning/flipping eggs/fish in a frying pan? Also known as a kitty litter cleaner/snow remover/spider basher???? Come on!!!!!!!!!

..........fun of snow wearing off....everything melting and slushy - took me ages to get the snow off the car (had to use a fish slice!) and when I opened the door to take a pic of the kids, they whacked me with a pile of snow - so I'm soggy again....here's the guilty faces!

thanks Greg will do - just heard on the news we are to have maybe 4 more inches tonight - and the temp will go below -3 (centigrade!) - yay!!!! My husband goes to the east coast USA a lot for work, and to Minneasota (sp??!!) and when I called him to tell him the good news (!) he told me to get over myself! Nice!

it's been so depressing here with loads of rain - everything's muddy and dark so the snow seems so clean and bright! Can't wait for the spring either...tho that means even more rain here!!! sighhhhh.....

Ok, I know that you guys get TONNES of snow over there, but we were thrilled to see a gorgeous white blanket of snow this morning here in Ireland! Well I was anyway! It was only two or three inches but we hardly ever get snow that stays on the ground - it looked so beautiful! I walked my son to school and it was such fun - even tho I ended up with my new suede boots all wet and actually fell on the way home (!!) - despite soggy boots, sore knees, wet jeans, I love it!!!! Sadly it's melting already but I took some pics..... (sorry to bore you Alex, I know you're sick of snow already! )
  13. I actually can't do my workout if I don't have my specially burned cd! My son made it for me and put all my favourites, and some ones he thought would be good - I love love love Van Halen's "Jump", Christina Aguilera (sp?) singing "Dirrrty", and dance tracks like "follow da leader", and "Time to Burn" (Storm)....!
  14. a few of my posts recently have disappeared too! I couldn't access the "fun thread - screen names" thread last night!
  15. Jokes aside, Lisa, you did the right thing! Any pain that takes your breath away should get medical attention! Too many people presume they have gas and ignore ovarian cysts, eroded bands etc - I know it turned out well, and probably cost you loads but YOU DID THE RIGHT THING!!!!! Well done xxx
  16. Lisa - I was just thinking of starting a thread about this - always fascinated to know where people get their screen names from! Can't wait til Kelleymoos answers to this!!! My name is kinda unpronounce-able as it's an Irish language name - Niamh (see!?) but it means "brightness and lustre" in english so hence "Bright"! By the way - Niamh is pronounced Neeve to rhyme with Eve 'case you're interested!
  17. Wow - well done Penni! That's fantastic - I was getting fed up on my plateau too, and did my measurements - I did them the night before surgery and had never re-done them - I had lost 35" overall!! I couldn't believe it! The scales are harsh sometimes - hard to remember they aren't the only measument of weight loss I'm so happy for you Penni xx
  18. thinking of you all here too Chantal - hope everything's ok

I LOVE chinese green tea - it's really good for you and counts towards your water intake, which I find great - it's hard to chug pints of cold water when the weather is cold!! I make my green tea (using leaves or buds) in my cafetiere (I think you guys call them a French Press??) so I don't end up swallowing bits of the leaves! My sister goes to China a lot and brings me home the real thing but you can get great green tea at a chinese market too. I also love the flavoured teas - raspberry, blackcurrant - great at night! And definately WAY better than drinking coffee!
  20. Cindy, you look fantastic - love your hair! Lisa - looking great too! What a difference xx

I was practically addicted to Diet Coke pre-banding, six or seven cans a day, it was my favourite thing in the world - but I knew from people's testimonies on the boards, that it was out of the question after being banded, and it's wierd, but even before surgery, I accepted that, and have never touched a drop since. I don't even miss it, and now, 15 months later, I'm really glad I dropped it - it's so unhealthy! Carbonated drinks are really bad for bone density according to a new study, so I'm delighted that the band "made" that decision for me!
  23. ditto from me Babs, best of luck quitting the cigarettes - my sister swears by the Allen Carr books for getting her to quit her 20+ a day habit.... Glad you're thinking more about the surgery - sounds like a difficult procedure, requiring a lot of aftercare and rest.... take care xx
  24. I missed this the first time too - this is awesome, thanks so much Donali - I really needed to read all the above - if I'm not losing weight, I am almost crying every day, and hopping on the scales, four and five times a day, skipping meals and then binging... My food addiction/obsession really scares me sometimes - thanks for turning on the light!
  25. thur 17th breakfast: Low Fat Natural Yogurt with Live Stuff (!?!) - I added blueberries and pumpkin and sunflower seeds Lunch: Chicken Caeser (sp?) Salad (In Cafe) and a coffee Snack: Scoop of Ben & Jerry's at the cinema with kids (Midterm Break here) Dinner: nothin - have to rush to psychology class so will dwell on the evils of having the Ben and Jerrys later....
