  1. I wear "Happy" by Clinique or Eau Resourcante by Clarins every day - and for night time I wear Blue by Ralph Lauren... I also love the Green scent by Lancome - Energy I think it's called and at christmas I wear Red by Hugo Boss - it's just so christmassy to me!!
  2. Hi from Ireland where, banded or not banded, NOBODY eats corned beef and cabbage! I've never even seen it! I wonder where the idea that it's traditional Irish food came from! We normally go to McDonalds after the parade and have shamrock shakes!!! Funny, but true! Good luck with the pureed cabbage and Happy St Patricks Day!!!
  3. Oh christina, that's awful - I really hope you fight it and get your band!! Thinking of you xx
  4. Yep, I can vouch for that! Just last week I was on here moaning about the disappearance of my restriction - yet woke up yesterday morning - and bam! It was back! Bizarre!
  5. I had low fat, low G.I. mushroom risotto - comfort food!
  6. Best of Luck Crystal - can't wait to hear from you when you're back!!! You too, Christina - best wishes! We'll be thinking of you both xx
  7. Awww Teresa, you're so adorable - brilliant NSV's - you're way more energetic than I am xx
  8. I just want to fit into a sh*t-hot pair of jeans! Preferably size 14 (12 here!)! that's ALL i want! (lol)
  9. Welcome to Bandland Wade!!! Hope you feel more comfortable soon xx
  10. Marie, you're a pet - thanks a million for the offer - I'll trek around here a bit more & see if I can find them, if not, I may take you up on it! Thanks so much xx
  11. just tried EVERYWHERE in my local mall - including two health food shops and they were baffled at the idea of a fibre supplement!!! Just eat bran, they told me!!! Gee thanks! They only had "Beneflora" which is a probiotic thing so no luck! I'll try Dublin city at the weekend! sigh!
  12. thanks Marie - just checked it out - hopefully I can get it over here xx
  13. Paula, you're a star, thanks so much - I just couldn't picture them in my head!! I couldn't figure out what to look for in the supermarket/health shop - grains/tablets/biscuits! Thanks a mill - hopefully I'll get it tomorrow and will stick close to the loo for a while!!!!!!
  14. I don't know if we have Benefibre here - I don't understand what you mean about wafers or chewables - what would they look like???!! I can go into a health shop tomorrow and ask about it - more than likely the same product is sold here under a different name.....
  15. that's interesting Rica - thanks!
  16. thanks guys - I wondered if the loss of restriction meant I need another fill, or if it's a fluctuating thing....? For dinner tonight, I just had two fajitas - two flour tortillas with chicken, peppers, cheese...the whole enchilada (scuse the pun!). No restriction - nada! This is so discouraging....back to dieting again I guess... Alex: nope, no fill doc's in Ireland at all! Just one surgeon doing gastric bypass! (Ps I love The Spire too - pretty controversial thing tho, loads of people hate it!)
  17. I know this question has been asked to death, and I DID read through all the questions/answers in the fill section (ok, well maybe not ALL!) and I still feel I need more answers... Just to re-cap - I have the Inamed 11cc band, which has a fill capacity to 9cc.... I was filled to 4cc during surgery, and 15 months after banding, I had my first fill! My fill doc took out just under 4cc and filled me to 6cc - I got such a shock! Restriction for the first time! I couldn't believe it - I always had low restriction since the surgery - ie I could eat a personal size Pizza Hut Pizza - toast, sandwiches etc....ANYWAY, I had the fill on the first of feb, now down 16lbs since then - I'm happy with this obviously, and was delighted with my level of restriction - I even PB'd twice!!! Felt like a real bandster! Now, since the 1st March, suddenly it feels like the restriction is GONE! I can eat bread, muffins etc.... I ate a whole bowl of egg salad yesterday, and felt no restriction.... I read Alex's post with interest, on how you get about a 20lb loss with a fill before you need to get another - so does this mean I need another fill??? My band doc did tell me most people with my band need a fill of 7cc before they see any dramatic weight loss - well, I'm not exactly looking for any dramatic weight loss, just WEIGHT LOSS! I have to fly to the UK for fills, they cost about $200, not including flights/car rental etc - I just can't afford to go again before christmas! (especially now that I'm saving to go to NYC to meet some of you! Yay!) Any advice?
  18. best of luck - you'll be home in no time! Let us know how it went xx
