Going Back To Work.... Any Suggestions Or Advice From The Vets
First off, congrats on your sleeve!! And it looks like you are doing great! I have a little fridge at my desk. I buy the EAS low carb Protein shakes and store them in my fridge. When I get to work, I start drinking one for my morning Breakfast. They are yummy! I am able to go home for lunch, but if I couldn't, I would probably bring a chicken breast or a lean cuisine or something like that. At 3 weeks, not sure what you can eat yet, but be sure to follow your plan. I also always have a bottle of Water with me in my fridge. I drink about 40-50 oz a day which isn't too hard to do. I also have the lowfat Weight Watchers cheese sticks that I eat sometimes as an afternoon snack. The problem with those is that when I eat one, it makes me hungry for another for some reason, so I usually try to avoid them. Then it is back to home where I have my dinner. You will do great. It really isn't that difficult. I actually find that working takes my mind off eating anyways so it's all good. Hope this helps and good luck!! Again, congrats you awesome sleever you!

Husband Down Plays My Wt Loss-Frustrated!
So sorry to hear that. It makes me feel sad to know that you don't have your husbands support. I was wondering if you work out at all? If so, maybe he would like to work out with you and it becomes a joint effort in losing weight together. This is what my wife and I did. I had my sleeve back in December, but I wanted my wife to be really involved so we could Celebrate together. I bought her a Bodybugg and we both started working out together. Of course, she wanted to do it...I'm not making her do it. But it is really fun sharing our success stories together. As others have mentioned, I'm sure your husband is feeling a bit insecure. We all handle our insecurities a bit different. Maybe suggest a few of the things I have mentioned, or try to get him to come up with some ideas so it sounds like it is coming from him and you are supporting him. Us guys are prideful sometimes and suggestions coming from our wive's aren't always taken well. Let us know how it goes! And if you don't hear it from him, hear it from me...GREAT JOB, LISA!! I'm proud of you!!

A Sushi Nightmare,lesson Learned :(
Hmmm...I am just over 2 months post op. I too love sushi. The California roll is my favorite. I ate two of them a couple of weeks ago with no problem. I am wondering if it might be the rice expanding in your stomach that caused your pain. Next time, you might either try picking off the rice, or just eat one and see how you feel after that. Also, is this the first time you have had oranges post-op? The acid of the oranges might have caused this pain also. Just some thoughts. Best of luck to you! No one should be deprived of sushi!

I'm Healthy!
That's awesome! Glad you have a healthy ticker!! Was worried there for a bit. And hey, just because you had a burger and fries doesn't mean you aren't perfect. You are! A half a burger is not a whole burger, and I am sure the fries were not the extra large fries we all used to get! And the best part is you enjoyed it!! That's awesome! Too many times we get down on ourselves when we really shouldn't. I had a handful of Peanut Butter M&M's today. I started to get down about it, but then I realized "when was the last time I did that?" I couldn't remember, and I know I won't do that everyday. It was a treat. Anyways, congrats on being healthy! We are all grateful for you!

Protein Shakes
I've tried a bunch of 'em. The best one I have tasted is the EAS AdvantEDGE Carb Control protein shake. They come in Chocolate Fudge, Dark Chocolate, French Vanilla, and Stawberry. It has 0 grams of sugar, 3 grams of carbs and 17 grams of protein. They are at my local grocery store. You should try it!
