Isopure in the glass bottles. They have 40g of Protein for a 20 oz bottle. Different flavors and not a shake. They are like gatorade that are premade and can be sipped on throughout the day. You can get them at GNC and on line. Good luck.

You said you can drink that throughout the day, does it keep you full?

Try to alternate flavors--maybe something fruity? Unjury makes a chicken Soup flavored Protein that is a nice alternative to the sweet ones. I could not choke down the Isopures at all but I had good luck with Premier Protein from costco.< /p>

Sorry I haven't had my surgery yet. I have spent tons of money trying all sorts of shakes. The Isopure was the only thing I could find that I liked. Not sure if it will keep us full until I have my surgery. I'm just glad that I found something that was not a shake. My surgery is scheduled on the 9th. Yippeeee!

Does the unflavored Protein dissolve into whatever drink you add it to? How do those work? I hate milk and anything that resembles a milky substance so shakes are not my thing. I've tried the body fortress shots from Walmart and for 26g's of protein they're great....but disgusting!! I'm going to order the Unjury broth this week but was wondering about the unflavored protein.

I have struggled with trying to find a shake that I liked also. But a friend of mine suggested I try the Lean shakes ( GNC store brand). They are great!!! Not thick like a lot if the pre-made ones!! I even put them in freezer to get them "slushy". They ALMOST taste like a Frosty from Wendy's!!!! Delicious!!!!! Good luck...

I am four months post op and I order Protein Shots off the Internet called Proslam 27... It is what I was given at the hospital. They still have that whey taste but are wayyyyyy better than the ones from Walmart. I have one a day to hit my Protein mark.

I'm currently 1/2 way thru my 2 week liquid diet and found Met-Rx shakes on-line. I have 3 a day...it has not been an easy week however I have not been hungry. The shakes defiantly keep you full and satisfied and they do not taste too bad. They have chocolate and berry Blast I have both. They are much better to me when i put extra Water so they are not so thick. I also have mixed them for some sort of variety. I have missed "eating" this week but I will keep on keeping on because the end result is what I will be most happy about. VSG Scheduled for March 14th.

Everyone's taste for Protein drinks are different. Also, what you like pre-op, you may hate post-op because your taste buds may change. I used to love a particular Protein powder and I used it for years prior to surgery. Once I had surgery and moved to full liquids I was so excited to be able to have it again....but I hated it, and still do four months later. If you are required to do a pre-op liquid diet then find one you like now. Then once you have surgery try out several different kinds. I drink Premier Protein ready to drink (from Costco) and Syntrax nectar Cappuccino.

About Isopure Zero...I was forced to drink it while in the hospital and I got TOTALLY sick of it....it leaves a Protein aftertaste in my mouth. Yes, it's 40 grams of protein but that's for 20 oz. Ounce for ounce, the protein content is not that great. Most whey protein powders are 25 grams per scoop mixed with 8 oz of liquid. Once I got home from the hospital, I used the Isopure unflavored powder and mixed it with chicken broth, Crystal Light and Mio.

Are you exercising as well? Do you have energy to do so?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
