  1. I haven't tried pineapple juice. I am going to buy some and give it a try when I get the stuck feeling. I have only tried tiny sips of water and rode it out. I haven't had a stuck for a while. I have been trying to really chew to make sure of that.
  2. My goal is when I reach 75 I am going to buy a really nice gold necklace. It is something I can look at when I am having a BAD day I can remember how FAR I HAVE COME!
  3. Wow June 25th that is exciting. I had my surgery on Dec 19th of 2011. It is so worth it. I am down 65 lbs so far. I have more to go but not sure where I want to end up yet. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask!
  4. The more weight I lose I can feel my port stick out. I talked to my doc and he said he can put it a low profile when it gets more noticeable. He said he just numbs it and does it in the office. I hope its not a big deal to get it changed. Let me know what your doctor says and how big a deal it is to change it.
  5. There will always be a chance the band might not for you. But life without the band probally isn't working fir you if you are considering the band. I dont feel anything except the port sometimes. You will have the port area sore for a while then it will just feel normal having it. I sometimes feel the port if I move wrong or bump it but it doesn't hurt it just lets me know its there.
  6. I don't think it is crazy at all. I am going to let you know this is not the easy way out. This is a journey and a tricky one sometimes. I tried many other diets and none of them worked because they were diets to me not a life style change. This is a life style change weither your ready or not. With other diets I could sneak and eat but with this it won't let me. There are foods I will almost never eat again. But for the most part they are foods I don't need. Make sure you research and make sure lapband is for you. I am telling you it's the best thing I ever did for myself! I am almost 6 months out and 65 lbs down.
  7. I went and saw my nutritionist today and I was so happy. I lost 5 lbs in two weeks but the part I was scared for was I was sick and doctor put me on steroids to get me well. The steroids made me want to munch and munch. I also had a very sore throat so some blizzards were involved so I was happy for a 5 lb loss in two weeks. Her and I were talking and she suggested we should take a field trip to the grocery store so she can really reach me what I should be eating and not. I don't know about other people but they tell you what you should stick to for guidelines and I get to the store and sometimes get overwhelmed. I will let you all know how my fieldtrip goes!
  8. Wow you have done great! You forgot to say that you got your life back haha. Well that is at least how I am feeling!
  9. I notice my bum does get more sore easier with sitting. The other thing I notice I get a lot colder easier!
  10. The first step is done. Soon your journey will begin. Congrats
  11. Wow that is so great. If you don't mind me asking what size did you start out at? I only think in my dreams I could be a size 4 haha.
  12. I need to add more exercise back in my routine. It will be easier since kids get out of school for summer Thursday and I can concentrate on myself a little more again. I need to remember putting myself last got me where I was before surgery and I don't want to go back there!
  13. Had surgery on 12/19/11. I have lost 65 lbs and was wondering if anyone has had surgery then and how are you doing?
  14. I was banded 12/19/11. Anyone from Montana?

  18. I am excited to say I have lost 65 lbs and slowly but surely gonna reach that 100 lb mark. I was banded Dec 19th 2011. It hasn't been an easy journey but so worth it!
  19. My doc said not for two weeks. You don't want or need an infection!
  20. That is soooo true!
  21. I have to say with losing 60 lbs I have started to notice people treating me differently. I wonder if I hold my head higher or carry myself with more confedience. I am happily married but I do notice men looking more than they use to. I guess what I am saying I am feeling better about me and I think it is showing! Anyone else noticing things?
  22. It feels great doesn't it. And the clothes always seem cuter in the smaller sizes!
