  1. Congrats! Welcome to the losers bench. Try try try on those fluids as they will make you feel better quicker! Wishing you a quick and speedy recovery. I am just a few days ahead of you (20th)!
  2. I still use the liquid Percocet at night time so don't feel bad about taking it as that's what they gave it to you for. I would also recommend taking a ppi if you are not already. My pain/discomfort level drastically decreased when I started the prilosec. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon!!!
  3. Can someone please provide an example of what you take when? I don't recall being given a schedule of when to take what. I just take a multi vitamin and a calcium chew in the am with my ppi and then another multi vitamin and another calcium chew in the evening with a B-12 soft gel. Am I missing something or doing something wrong?
  4. Wow I am sooooo excited for you!!! I am so happy that you are back home now and feeling better! I am just a few days behind you (day 5 post op) but I haven't weighed yet to see the results. I am trying to wait until the one week mark! I so hope I can report results like yours!
  5. Circa, would you care to share your white chicken chili recipe???? please! I have been looking for one to use when I start puréed next week! Thanks! Kacy
  6. Hang in there honey!! This too shall pass!! I will be praying for a speedy recovery for you!!
  7. Girl I can absolutely see the changes!! You are doing awesome! That is really fast for 70lbs!! I know what you mean about the c-sections as I have had two also!! Good luck on your continued journey! I wish you all the best!!
  8. Note to self: Avoid red meat....indefinitely!!! I sure don't want the slimes!! Makes me appreciate the liquid diet I'm on right now!!
  9. Great job!! Hopefully I can say the same thing soon! Only 5 days out right now! Keep rockin the sleeve girl!!!
  10. Welcome to the other side!! Glad to hear all went well! Hope the nausea passes soon!!
  11. I also had my surgery last Friday and so far so good. I was down 3 lbs as of today so not bad for day 4 post op. Good luck on your journey!!
  12. I am 5'1" and weight DOS was 232. I was wearing a size 2x in tops and a 20/22 in pants. I am large chested and I hope to not lose much of those but am willing to buy some new ones if that is the price I must pay. LOL!!. I am hoping to get down to 130 ultimately and below 180 by May. My 30th birthday is May 23rd and I am hoping for some massive weight loss by then! 4 days postop and I haven't weighed yet. I will on day 7.
  13. I also had to do a two week liquid preop diet and I agree...it sucked!! What I found was that I'd I would get extremely hungry or have blood sugar issues, I could eat one saltine cracker and it would curb it. I think during my first week of thr preop diet I ate 3-4 saltine crackers everyday. The second week probably 1-2 everyday. My surgeon last Friday said that my surgery was textbook and actually quite boring. That being said, I don't think the saltines hurt me. Good luck and stick with it. The liquid diet "on the other side" is much easier!!!
  14. I am on day 4 post op and so far absolutely no regrets whatsoever!!! Other than some heartburn which i am now starting to treat, i have had an amazingly easy recovery! I am drinking two protein shakes a day plus about 40 ounces of other liquids like water and Powerade Zero. Sipping on some broth at "meal times" and looking forward to trying some cream Of something soup this evening. I wish you all speedy recoveries and if I can help you in any way I am here. Take care!!!
  15. Thanks for the info guys!! I will try the applesauce thing. I will report my findings back to you all!
  16. So I am now 4 days out and already having acid reflux pains. The doc told me to try Prilosec so i went and got some this evening but the pills are actually time release capsules. Is this okay for me to swallow or should I go get something else? I Just want some relief!!!
  17. You can also get the shakes at Sams Club...at least the chocolate ones. Price in Bama is 17.88 for a 12 pack. You can order them online too but they are more on their website at www.premiernutrition.com. I agree with everyone else these shakes are the best!!!

  19. Me and Nanner are back in the hotel after surgery and I have been sleeved. Surgery went great, the doctor said I was a textbook case and everything went great. I am sitting in the hotel sipping on some propel zero and doing okay. I am walking every hour or so to help get rid of the gas pains which are pretty intense on my shoulders and chest. Hopefully that will go away soon. I will update more as I progress. Thank you for all the prayers and support!
  20. Congrats on a successful surgery!! I am in the hospital as we speak about to go back and have mine done. I am really excited but thanks to the Percocet I am also very calm! Lol!! Here's to a new us!!!!
  21. I am looking forward to being confident enough to have sex with the lights on!! I know that sounds silly but I have been married for 11 years and I am too self conscious to be with my hubby except in absolute darkness! Weird??
  22. Well tomorrow at 8:30 am I will officially be sleeved. I am soooooo excited but also sooooo nervous! Guess that's normal though. Everyone please say a prayer for me and the doctor that all goes well. I will post when I feel up to it!! Btw, I am calling my new sleeve "Nanner" cause it's shaped like a banana and I'm from Alabama....cute huh? So me and Nanner will check in soon....
  23. I had some labs done last week for allergy testing and my ALT level came back at 185. Now I am freaking out that the surgeon is gonna get in there and be like "Wow! Her liver is really fatty and I can't do this surgery !" Does a high ALT level mean that your liver is really fatty?? Any help from anyone that has been in this situation would be great!! My surgery is less than 72 hours away!!
  24. 01/20/12 just 4 days from now!! Do I have any siblings????
  25. Glad you made it down there okay!! Please give Us an update once you feel like it tomorrow. I wish you the best of luck on your journey. I have just 4 more days till I start mine!!! Here's to a new us!!!
