  1. I think you look great!! Way to go girl! No need to be embarrassed! Keep it up! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  2. Yes two days in a row I have weighed in at 198.6 so it's official I made it to ONEDERLAND! I started my preop at 243 and lost 15lbs prior to surgery. I have lost the additional 30lbs since my surgery on 01/20! I am a slow loser but I think I found the trick that's working for me.....sex! On the nights my hubby and I rumble, I drop like 1-2 lbs. My hubby is ecstatic about this as he benefits too!!! Anyway, just wanted to share my results! Day of surgery-weight 228.6 This morning- weight 198.6 Sent from my iPhone using VST
  3. Congrats Kimmie! I have 1.6lbs to go and it seems like it will never get here! So happy for you! I know it feels great!!! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  4. I have had alcohol on several occasions since my surgery. The first was at 3 weeks out and I had two glasses of wine over the course of about 5 hours. I made sure to get in all my Protein that day using my shakes and then actually budgeted the calories into my plan for the day. Just be sure to make sure it's not a really bubbly wine. I drank Riesling. The second occasion was about 6 wks out and I drank a margarita on the rocks and a vodka cranberry. (those were not budgeted in but I actually lost weight the morning after.) I will say the only issue I have had was the frozen margarita I tried to drink last weekend. I got down about half of it and was sick to my stomach. I guess it's all the sugar in a frozen drink. Whatever you choose to do is up to you personally! Good luck to you!! Kacy Sent from my iPhone using VST
  5. So, just had a really positive NSV this evening when my hubby and I took our two kiddos to the carnival in town. I can ride all the rides without smushing my guts into them and feeling like the restraints would give at any time. I tell you it was really a good feeling to just hop up on the ride, pull the harness down and go! I didn't feel like people were starring at me anymore! Awesome NSV!!! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  6. Congrats Meg!! Great job! Pay no attention to comments like that for only we know that our way is pretty darned hard too! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  7. I too have been taking Viactiv since surgery (8wks) and my labs are normal so apparently my Nanner is doing okay absorbing them. I also take Flintstone chewables so both of theses give me my sweet fix for the day. I have found that when TOM is here I crave addl chocolate so I bought some dark chocolate roasted almonds. They have a faint chocolate taste that really hits the spot! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  8. Mine is Nanner cause it's shaped like a banana and I'm from Alabama!! Me and Nanner have a pretty good relationship so far!
  9. I am right there with you. I get hungry too! My surgery was January 20th and I have lost 25lbs as of this morning. I eat 5-6 times a day. I figure that as long as my calorie, protein, fat and carb intake are okay then why should it matter how often I eat. I am okay with a slow loss as I think it will help with skin issues later on. I say do whatever makes you comfortable ad you know your body better than anyone! Good luck to you! Just remember slow and steady wins the race!
  10. Sebring, I am 7 weeks out and can pretty much eat whatever I want just in smaller quantities. I try and keep my caloric intake below 900 per day. This is my happy number. My body was in starvation mode at less than that and I wasn't losing. There are several of us at various stages on My Fitness Pal and our food diaries are public so you can see exactly what we are eating. It helps to gets some ideas for your own meals. Anyway if you want to friend me on there my user name is MyNanner. Good luck!!
  11. Oh I am sooooo ready to be there! Only 5.4lbs to go!!! Congrats to you on your losses...I'll be joining you soon!!!
  12. Oops! I had mine colored last night and I am 6 wks out! Hopefully all will be okay....
  13. Confession: I went out on Weds night for my boss's retirement party and drank a glass of wine, a margarita and a vodka/cranberry within about 3 hours. I am 6 weeks out!! Boy were they tasty!!
  14. I had two glasses of Riesling wine at 4 weeks out. It was over the course of about 6 hours and it didn't affect me at all. I also turn 30 this summer (may 23rd) and I will have a Margarita for my bday. It may take me all night to drink it but I will!!
  15. I had two glasses of wine this past weekend (4wks out). I didnt have any problems. Just treat it as you would any other new food. I don't know if I would try hard liquor though. Non sparkling wine worked good for me.
  16. Great job!! I am ready to join you!! Hopefully soon...12 more lbs!!!
  17. I am so ready to be there!!!! Great job! Keep it up!!
  18. So far so good here! Nothing has gotton stuck so far and I eat pretty fast. I do think that Nanner has to work harder to digest it though!
  19. Good luck tomorrow!! Update when you feel up to it!! Praying for a easy swift recovery!!!
  20. I have been eating Chinese take out since about 3 weeks so you should be fine. Just stay away from anything fried, with rice or noodles or anything with a real sugary sauce. I tend to lean towards chicken egg foo young or Mongolian beef.
  21. I had two glasses of Riesling wine this past weekend over the course of about 6 hours. For me, nothing happened and i am only 4 weeks out. No ill effects at all. I was able to enjoy the 30th birthday party of one of my friends and not feel like an outsider. Now, i won't be rushing out to stock up on alcohol...but in my opinion one or two drinks on occasion are not a big deal.
  22. Well my friends, it has officially been four weeks since my surgery in beautiful Las Vegas! And what an amazing month it has been. I will have to say that I am truly one of the lucky ones! I have had absolutely no complications whatsoever. My Nanner has no lactose intolerance, no heartburn, no sliming, no irregularity, no food aversions, nothing...zip,...nada...zilch. IT'S WONDERFUL!! So to ask me would I do it again, my answer is a resounding YES!!!!!! I started this journey with a 2wk preop at 243, this morning I was at 212. I lost 15lbs on the preop and 16lbs since my surgery on 01/20. I have posted pics below and I may be biased, but I can really tell!! So to anyone contemplating this procedure I say go for it! It's an incredible tool to have!! I started on the elliptical today so hopefully the weight will keep falling off! Thank you to all for the encouragement! And Good Luck to everyone!! Kacy
  23. Hey me too!! I clipped it as close to the skin as I could with the fingernail clippers but it is still there!
  24. My pharmacy told me to get liquid Tylenol sore throat. It's just Tylenol but with a cool minty taste. Works just fine for me!
  25. I hit the 15lbs lost since surgery mark today and I have already been thru a one week stall. I eat pretty much what I want to within reasob of course. I am keeping my calories under 700, my protein above 60, my carbs under 40 and my fat under 45. So far so good. For dinner tonight I had three saltine crackers and a slice of sharp cheddar cheese. If you want to see the rest of my food logs for the past several weeks you can friend me on myfitnesspal.com. My user name is "MyNanner"!
