  3. Post op i know we are not supposed to chew gum. In case we accidentally swallow an lodge it. But i never "accidentally" swallowed gum before ever in my life. Im a grazer i chew gum to keep my mind off of food an keep my mouth busy. Has anyone chewed gum or had any problems with it?? If not to chew gum any other ideas for a grazer?
  4. First of all congrats on the weight loss. By this point im sure u know the difference between hunger an head hunger but sometimes we get tired. I mean even with the band this is work! To lose weight. It is not the easy way out an sometimes we get tired. Refocus remember why you have gone through this. Maybe try the 5 day pouch test to get your pouch back talking to you. An yes go easy on the carbs. It a vicious cycle crave carbs an sugar not satisfied eat more carbs an sugar keep going your already doing great
  5. No but i absolutely hope to!!! I have had 2 fills i go in for my third on monday and i am asking he up the amount alittle to. I have no idea what restriction feels like yet. Ive been in bandster hood three months now. I reLly want to get going with this. In reff. To the fillsmmy surgeon does not use an xray however he feels for the port an stablizes it on two sides with his fingers so he know exactly where to go. Its never hurt an hes never missed
  6. Last bowel movement was? Period? Ovulation? (i get that pain) Port site? Drinking enough fluids? Just trying to jog your memory
  7. Hi yes me too, I have been walking more than ever I feel good about it I can walk 3miles now without any real problems. I still get winded though going up the steep hill. An you have a good point I do need to work on measuring out my servings I eye ball them. Actually I want to take someones elses idea an buy a dessert plate to use for myself to help remind me. I am also historically a grazer I have been working really hard on that one, but since we are not supposed to chew gum this is a challenge for me. but i love checking in on the boards and talking to people who are going through this too, no one i know is so I really dont share with them what its like. thanks
  8. I was banded 10/07/11 i have lost 20 pounds and i have had 2 fills yet i still feel no restriction. I go in on monday for another fill i think im gonna ask for 2cc more that will give me a total of 5cc in my 10cc band. Hows everyone else doing on their losses? An fills. We can do this !
  9. 5day pouch test is great. It really puts you back in touch with how it feels when we first get banded. Google it an it will pop right up. I went back to it for a bit an it really refocused me. Hope it works for you too
  10. Awesome for you secret. Im glad you are coming along well. Welcome to bandster land!! Remember you are healing dont rush things yet
  11. Well i wS banded on 10-07-11 and i have had 2 fills really bcuz my dr scheduled them. I have a total of 3cc in my 10cc banded. I have lost 19 lbs but more or less from the post op diet. I "feel" a slight restriction once in a great while. I can eat anything still nothing gets stuck ever im actually worried what that feels like. I can eat meat bread an such without a problem. I also have only had one PB after my second fill an nothing ever since. I guess i do need a fill after typing this all out
  12. Anyone else? Some days im starving and other days im full. Do i still need a fill? Its real hunger stomach growling an all. But other days im totally content
  13. Yes that is totally normal an to be expected. Ur only 2 days out give it a week but keep up the walking an moving that will help the trapped gas to move out. Remember this is just ur healing time take it easy an go slow. Good health to u
  14. Great job and keep going it is SO well worth it.
  15. Hi I am introducing myself I've been banded since Oct. 2011 and I have lost 19.6 pounds not a HUGE loss but I'll take it. Its better than what I was able to do on my own anyhow. I was thin as a child and started picking up weight in highschool. I really got heavy with my two pregnancy's and a few minor surgerys. However I weigh more now (even after losing some) than I did when I was 9 months pregnant with either of my boys. My dh loves me no matter what he's awesome but I need to do this for me. that is why I picked my tag name Tym4me (time for me). I have to do this for me so that I can continue to be their for them. My guys. My father died last Dec. 2010 at over 400 pounds and a smoker and all the complications that go with that. My sister instantly went in and had the Bypass done and is doing great. but that was scary to me and a little to invasive. So I went with the LapBand and so far I am very pleased. I am still learning how to use my new tool. I have the standard AP allergan with a max capacity of 10cc. I currently have 3cc in my band and i am scheduled to go in this fri. to see if I need another fill. I love the support and info. I see on this forum and I am looking to chime in. thanks
  16. This is awesome all the health benefits will let you enjoy the many more years you have to come. Great for you
