Tomorrow Tomorrow Be Banded Tomorrow!!!
I felt the same way!!! Broth and jello actually sounded good from the preop stage. Right now I am able to eat broth, jello, cream soups, pudding and custard, cream of wheat, milk (all fat free and sugar free of course.... And low cal) but it feels good to have choices. I can see where this one will get boring as well... But I can only eat 1/2 cup of most thingsright now anyway...

Tomorrow Tomorrow Be Banded Tomorrow!!!
Tightness and gas doing much better today!!! Only experiencing soreness anytime abs are used (burping, laughing, coughing, leaning, car bumps.) The other thing I'm noticing is a minor pinch of pain on my stomach every here and there. I'm not sure what it is or why it's doing that. My dad says it's healing but I notice it especially while sitting upright. It's kinda like a hunger pang.... But more painful. Very quick. Then goes away. Warm things soothe it.... Just haven't heard anyone mention experiencing this...Been taking gas x.. Walking fine... Any ideas?

Tomorrow Tomorrow Be Banded Tomorrow!!!
Ok I am officially banded!! I was checked in at the Palms of Pasadina at 5am. Was sent straight on thru at 5:30am. They had me getting my gown on and my iv right away. It was seemless. My RN Jessica made everything really nice and comfy for me. As soon as my surgeon, Dr. Tiffany Jessie, was ready I went back into the prep areas. I met the anastesiologist and my tending nurses (all were very nice and friendl) and the anesthesiologist gave me a nap time mix. I felt all spacy and tingly. Thy had me move onto the operating table an they put an oxygen mask and tole me to take several deep breaths. The nurse poked her face in and said.. Ok see you in 5 minutes. I hears everyone including myself giggle and the next thing I know I'm being told to take deep breaths and to wake up. It was a struggle to open my eyes. I felt very very very sleepy. I drifted in and out and when I was coming to I was uncomfortable. The asked for a scale of 1-10 I said 8.... But not from the incisions. The gas and the tighness in my lungs were the worst. So anywhoo the whole process of recovery at the hospital was at my own pace. As long as I was able to go number 1, drink and hold down water, and walk around i was free to go! Made it home at 4pm and have been napping and sipping all evening. Speaking of I'm dozing now. Time to recover!! Ttys )

I Wonder!
I agree with above. My surgeon was on the ball every step of the way. Check the credentials. Also, if he delays so much in getting you banded (which earns him money) how do you think he will be in after care? My suggestion, find a doc that people rave about, with all the right licenses and research research. Make sure the doc will take care of you. The only reschedule I was offered was one week sooner, if I wanted

Tomorrow Tomorrow Be Banded Tomorrow!!!
Oh wow. It's 9:30pm rightnow and I am scheduled for surgery at 6am tomorrow morning!!!! Whoop!! I am very excited except that my left nostril is plugged up and I'm very worried about this causing a problem tomorrow morning. No cough, voice clear, breathing fine. No sneezing, right nostril is ok but left nostril is jammed. No fever. When I blow my nose it's clear. I know it's just allergies or sinus. I'm freaking out!!! I hope they say it's no problem!! Wish me luck and send a prayer for me please!

Two Weeks Until Surgery
Russell!!! By now its only one week left and by greatness you will do great. I made a list of all the reasons I am doing this to remind myself of all of the things I am either missing out on, or can no longer do. I find that it encourages me to push myself harder. I am being Banded on Dec 28th and am right behind you. You work at the Renaissance Fairs... and I attend them. I REALLY want to wear one of the "ladies attire" and look decent for children.... hahaha! Cheers to us and our soon to be success!!!

Just Got Approved For Lap Band Surgery!!! Bcbs
On 11/16 my papers were submitted for review with BCBS Today on 12/2 I was approved!!! Took 2.5 weeks. I tried soooo hard not to think about it while I was waiting. I have weight to lose b4 surgery and that's my last hurdle. I'm so exited I'm out of breath but I figured bcbs people might like to know the approximate wait time. cheers!

December Bandsters!
My preop diet is 2 shakes (breakfast and lunch) and then 4oz of protien and 1 cup of green veggie for dinner. It is going good so far. I'm starting mine early because I have to lose 22 lbs b4 surgery. I drink a LOT of water between meals to calm the hunger pangs, and dinner is a treat by then. I chew every bite to mush - for both savor and also for future practice. I also usually crave sweetness right after a meal so I make a cup of hot tea and truvia to feel satified. Sugar free Popsicles also hit the spot at night. Been a little chilly for those tho
