Still So Sore.....

i was banded on 12/29 and im still very very sore.. Gas pains in my chest, sholders and sholder blades. I have walked and walked and been taking gas X Nothing is helping. Is this normal?nonod.gif

Yes that is totally normal an to be expected. Ur only 2 days out give it a week but keep up the walking an moving that will help the trapped gas to move out. Remember this is just ur healing time take it easy an go slow. Good health to u

Yeah, it's perfectly normal. Try some hot packs for your shoulders, it seems to help most people. Watch the pain meds,

they cause constipation. Try some warm prune juice before you need it. Milk of Magnesia helps a lot, but don't take

too much. Time will be your best friend, just stick it out and it'll be over before you know it. When no one is looking,

try windmilling your arms around. It sounds silly, but many folks say it helps with the gas. You'll probably have

this for a few days, but then you'll have the hunger to deal with. This banding is not for sissies, You'll need a good attitude and some fortitude, but next year, it will all have been worth it. Best of luck.
