  1. I especially burp when I'm full! I also get a runny nose. Yep, I'm done eating then!
  2. Yayyyyyyyyyy Kathy! Window open, yelling Kathy Lost 50 lbs! Yes, you heard it, Kathy lost 50 lbs! LOL
  3. The only time I had pain was getting out or in bed. I really liked the morphine drip. That's the only way I could stay in the hospital. Otherwise, I would have called my hubby and told him to come get me.
  4. Lynda ~ CONGRATS! You are doing fantastic! It's really awesome to not have any pain anymore. Keep it up, you are an encouragement to me!
  5. One of the things that keeps me from going back to drinking that evil diet soda is the fact it contributed to my hunger and feeling hungry all the time. Once I stopped drinking it post op, I started losing weight. This is the same thing for my husband. He stopped drinking diet soda and he also lost weight. It's an all win situation!
  6. Congrats! This is fantastic! I am so happy for you! You rock!
  7. OMG, this is so awesome! You can do this, diet coke sucks big time! It's an addiction and the best thing to do is to stay away from it permanently. I've drank it for the past 20 years and have given it up, started drinking it again numerous times. Finally I am free of that addiction! here's to a healthier life! Cheers!
  8. I had this surgery due to the recommendation from my surgeon. I asked her directly which surgery would be better for by diabetes and she said the vertical sleeve. I agreed and my blood sugar dropped considerably, but I waiting for my next blood test to find where the A1C is. Last, it was at 6 and they want it below that to say I'm not diabetic anymore. I know that it has to do with eating way less food. My husband is diabetic and when he eats smaller portions, his blood sugar goes down. Hope this helps.
  9. Congrats GT! I love your dates! Keep it up!
  10. Hummm,I really didn't have any pain except when moving to get up to go to the bathroom or walk. I really took advantage of the morphine drip because I knew that I would want to lease ASAP. I remember sleeping with my bed in an upward position so the gas didn't bother me as much. It was just moving to get up. I did discover that I am really a baby when I've had surgery. LOL
  11. Instead of eating more, what about eating more often things that are healthy like nuts or fruits. It is really hard to make a significant increase with getting over full. You are doing pretty well though overall. Hang in there.
  12. I really needed to read this! tHANKS! I'm with you here! I will have to check this out! Go Irene!
  13. Woww, I was wondering what the 60 days was! You will rip your body apart, muscle by muscle! LOL You cn do it!
  14. No sweats. I've lost 69 lbs without doing much exercise also. But I decided to start walking and going back to the gym tomorrow. I have so much more energy than before, also have started The Basic Boot camp diet by LilMissDiva and lost a couple ozs over night. So what I'm saying is, it's not too late and you can do this! One day at a time is my MO!
  15. Gosh, I've been stepping out of my box for many years now. It's really scary to step out of the box. But I love being me. Let's do a banana dance! Where are our dancing banana's anyway? They're lost. Oh well, we'll just going to have to do our own little dance.
  16. I have lost a good amount of weight. I'm totally happy with how I look. This is the decision I would make again if I need to.. I am a walking testimony for wls. Everyone are commenting on how good I look but what I talk about is how much energy I have now and that my health issues are gone. I will now be talking about the benefits of losing the excess weight in our head and how being over weight effects our ability to think and process. It leads to dementia according to Dr. Oz. So happy with my wls! Yayyyyyyyyyyy! LOL
  17. It's really stressful to be in jeopardy of losing a job you love. I have a private practice and I only took 1 week off. It was tiring to go back to work, but I made it. This is can be considered as an emergency basis and your employer might be able to let you off for a small amount of time. They don't have to know it's a weight loss surgery. This is something that in only your business since it's medical related. Wish I could help more.
  18. OMG! I am so excited, I lost weight since yesterday. I went from 154.2 to 153.8. I know it's only a couple of ozs, but I'll take it. It was weird, yesterday I did a very low carb low cal day and in the evening, my words weren't coming out right. LOL I knew I was in ketosis and knew that I had lost some weight, but didn't weight myself until this morning. Miracles do happen, and even if I didn't lose the ozs, I would be fine with who I am today. BTW, I had also went for a power walk in the am. I do need to keep exercising.
  19. Blackberry is so right. It's such a great statement. I am so thankful I don't have to be around people like that. Girl. You are doing fantastic. Keep it up and we all need to be primming ourselves in the mirrors walking past sliding glass doors and when we see a reflection of our bodies. We rock!
  20. I get insane when I don't eat. Today was a really low carb day and it affected my speech. It really sucked to not get the right pronunciation. Blahhhhhhhh. Oh my timg is looser. Lol
  21. Congrats! Can't wait till you join us on the BIG LOSER'S BENCH! We're keep you seat warm!
  22. I burp or sneeze, and if I just ate something with sugar, I get a hot flash! Oh and my nose starts to run.
  23. Wowwww. have you guys watched the expose on toxicity of sugar on 60 minutes? After watching the expose my DH and self looked at each other and decided to cut the sugar out of our diet. Sugar is a craving like Cocaine and when we have sugar, our blood gets thicker and sticks to our arteries and causes blockages. This is just short. I really recommend that if you have the time your google 60 minutes and watch it. I don't need these cravings so I choose to give sugar up. Easier said than done!
  24. So happy to hear your Rockin that Sleeve! Even happier to hear your getting your protein in now. Now sit back and watch the weight drop off like hot butter in a frying pan!
