  1. Scary knowing we can gain it back. The challenge is on us and how we think about food. Lean proteins first then veggies starchs. We can do this and we will support each other.
  2. Switching it up does work. I've done it am it helped with moving things. Right now I'm working on water intake.
  3. I agree with everyone. This is your private business and all they should need is paperwork from your surgeon. Do speak to HR and ask them where they stand with HIPPA. Ask them to specify exactly what they have to have. They will.
  4. Probably need to give up the caffiene products. It could also contribute to dehydration.
  5. I am always clanging my elbow bone on my hip bone and boy does that hurt sometmes and it makes a loud noise. My wrist bones have pretty much always shown, but my collar bones are so pronounced. They stick out too. CONGRATS! I love these NSV's.
  6. I here the docs are really great there. So excited for you to join me on the big losers bench!
  7. I believe we will loose weight for as long as we need too. After all they have done the gastric bypass in two stages and discovered that the second step wasn't necessary most of the time, leaving the person with just a sleeve. Yep it's possible.....
  8. IDK but I wish you luck and hopefully the appeal will go through! Keep praying and think positively!
  9. CONGRATS! It only gets better from here on out! Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!
  10. That's not head hunger to me. That is mindless eating. It might help to put the food out of sight and talk to the other family members about not keeping that junk in your sight line. If it's not there, then you won't eat it. Sounds so simple but not so simple. You can do this. I bet you love the weight dropping off. Keep Rockin that Sleeve.
  11. Rootman ~ I'm right with you. In fact I won't go into any pools because of the fecal matter stuff left everywhere. It's discussing. I hate when the man that I rent office space from leaves fecal matter on the toilet seat. It's so discussing. There you go, this is my rant too! LOL
  12. It looks good to me~ I myself stay away from the bagel' though. I don't like the way it feels in my tummy.
  13. You'll doing awesome! Keep up the good work~
  14. OMG, you actually got food? I didn't get food for 3 days while in the hospital. I struggled with drinking the water or diet cranberry juice. Oh well, I did very well.
  15. Cataracks ~ why wait, I'm trying to celebrate as I'm going! Everyday is a new day! Yayyyyyy! We are successful!
  16. I've never heard of anyone loosing 30lbs in one week. Anyways, congrats! Keep it up.
  17. Wow! This has brought strong emotions come up while reading this! Yes you are thriving and will continue to thrive and will get stronger every day. You are woman! I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom is very proud of you! Thank you for sharing. Dorrie
  18. It does get better. As for as eating, you will transition and eating becomes habitual. I still remind myself that I don't need a lot of food. It's the head hunger that's the worst. Make sure you drink as much liquids as you can and then protein. As a rule, protein first, veggies, little starch. Try and hit 54 ozs of water if possible. Oh at this point protein shakes count as a liquid. So keep doing what your doing. Are you taking a PPI? IF not then ask your surgeon to prescribe you one. Now let's heal so you can continue to rock your sleeve!
  19. I'm dancing in the rain! CONGRATS! Can't wait for you to join me on the BIG LOSER'S BENCH! Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyy!
  20. My FIL in in surgery this am and yesterday was a horrible day for me regarding food. I had a very low food intake due to seeing clients etc., my son was suppose to go pick up a pizza and Costco and when I got home, he still hadn't gone, nor mention it too me when I came in the door. I was so frustrated I went to an old emotional place and started eating whatever was in sight. Yep! That sucked. Finally when the pizza came, I only ate 25% of the bread and the rest was the topping, which was a high fat protein deal. I felt horrible all night. Couple hours later I took a drink of water and that wasn't a happy deal either, I was still full. Oh to top it off, my sons girl friend bought me so Cadbury mini eggs! I just want to scream right now! I am screaming quietly right now! LOL That's my rant!
  21. This is so frustrating for you and everyone else that experiences it. I am working on starting a diet that is suppose to help speed up our metabolisms, and it is an 8 week program to start with that is very low carb. They have a 5 x 5 rule, meaning 5 carbs every 5 hours. The book is called "The Metabolism Diet." I hope things start picking up for you. I have a feeling it will pick up though. Are you loosing inches? Hope things get moving for you.
  22. Congrats! Happy dance for you with Lissa! Rock that Sleeve!
