Thanks Nancy I don't feel anything?
  4. Hi Dawn You will not be ignored. Your in Dallas and there's alot of bandsters in Dallas! You've got to get in to a doctor and have your band checked and get a fill. Make this band work for you. Payment plan, what ever it takes. You do have a good attitude. Michelle's on it!

Thanks Ladies..I'm 45...I'm just about like Zoe..fairly regular untill a few months ago. I did notice how heavy and painful my cycles had become about a year ago. So I adressed this to my OBGYN who suggested a IUD called Myrida(I'm guessing on the name, knew it started with a M) This IUD releases very small amounts of progestrin, works for 5 years and many loose their period compleatly. I got all the insur. aproval and I'm lyeing on the docs table when she informs me she can't install it due to a fibroid in the way. That was 3 months ago. I'm seriously thinking about haveing that fibroid removed. What do you think? Bubba, Best luck with Mother Nature. Pam, thanks for the list.

Yes I sure did. While in mx a lovely Pauline was awaiting for some special glue for a small hole in her stomach that cause an infection which cause her port to be removed last November. Got all that ... when she had her port removed she was having her golf ball hole stuffed everyday for weeks. sound familiar? no pun indented. well I saw where her port was and she's got a divot about the size of a pearl, not deep at all. She said it took months to close up. She also has an ulcer in her esophagus. She claims she's very restricted and says that she can get fills, that all they have to do is un-cap her tube(small incision)etc...Did you have your tube removed? I think this all very interresting....Who needs a port? right Lisa. This is the PM I sent Lisa a few days ago, I thinks it's good information to post.

  9. The 7th is a good number! Congratulations!
  10. Happy Birthday..Oh young one.
  11. Just for clarification....I had the kink that caused a hole in my tube. But I was NOT rebanded. Part of the tubing with the hole was removed and yes I am doing well, Thanks.
  12. Keep us updated, nothing worse then not being able to sleep. Nighty-night
  13. Kelly What's on the big left toe? Way curious
  14. I'd rather be sadated than awake like I was for my leak repair. You'll be just fine, relax. Do take photos!!!
  15. I didn't know Dr. Rod had he's own clinic? But I was at the out-patient clinic at Hospital San Jose in Monterrey just last week. Very nice and clean. I've never seen so much granite and marble in my life like that City.
  16. Hi Alice I just got back from Monterrey Mx. While I was there, a room mate (Lynn) at Dr. Sanchez's guesthouse went for a consultation with Dr. Cardenas. She said while at her consultation the camera crew from extreme make-over was there. He's very impressive and his prices are nice. I'm thinking of having him do some work as well. I've heard that Dr. Cardenas shares the guest house with Dr. Sanchez. If so you'll have a pleasant stay. I'm so happy for you!
  17. I agree......
  18. Who's the Manufacture? I have an AMI band which has a buckle like a tie wrap.
  19. Hot!! Have fun.
  20. Congratulations and welcome home. Keep up on your vitamins, you may start feeling weak. Your body will want to store fat instead of burning it. Some people feel fine the first few days then crapy. Walk when you can.

I'll miss your Honey-suckle blowing in the wind..... Don't let your Hulk Underoos get in a bunch.
  22. Congratulations!!!
  23. She Smokes Smooth ...Stands With a Fist. Had my first real meal last night, half of a small Santa Fe chicken salad and felt full. Pat, Your just starting out, 1cc first fill is average and you probably don't feel much restriction yet. Just have your doctor/radiologist remove the prior fill before adding more, that way you know some was in there. I don't want to alarm any one that leaks are common, they're NOT. The leak I had, Iv been been tracking for about a year. First formed a kink that was collapsing the tube that when I was getting my fills, saline would go in but none would come back out. Then I noted restriction was good for a few days right after a fill then gone. Kathy, The section of tubing removed was about an inch. They didn't need to add more tubing just put in a connector fitting(tiny straw), the tubing then slide over the connector from both sides and sew together. The total length of tubing from port to band is about 7 inches. To see a full band to port look on Inameds websight, all band are similar. Ask your doctor, he should show you one. Cost for this fix... Dr Sanchez takes care of his people, he didn't ask for anything. My flight was 411.00 round trip. Flouroscopy check and x-rays (1,300 pesos) $118.00. Hospital cost, out-patient surgery (25,000 peso's) $230. Dr Suesana and attending surgeon (25,000 pesos) $230.00, that's just a tip. Transportation around town and to and from the airport about $50.00. Guesthouse 3 nights free. Total about $1,050.00 OK I don't want people freaking out thinking you have a leak. Know your body and your doctor. Restriction can very from week to week. It's so nice having this banded family of such concerned people. Thanks :banana
  24. Thanks Marie, I could aways use hugs! The other reason I missed my flight was cause they told me to catch the train to the other terminal....I waited 15 minutes for that train....It never came. Leatha is still on my cell's phone book from Vegas. She almost got a call but I would have been a bitch. Cycle started too while I was in the airport and none of the bathrooms have supplies. let it rain
  25. Trica Yes, the kink caused the hole. The only reason you should become paranoid is if the doc can't get any previous fill(saline) out. If it's hard to get saline in or out, be concerned. But it's good to have your band checked under flouro at least once a year. My band looked prefect. No reason to change my band at all.
