Jenn, my sister and her husband have been with us for 3 years now. We drove down to Florida 3 years ago in September and got them and they have been here ever since. As much as I love them, it is time to go. But that's not looking like any time soon. So I agree and take time to really think this one out. Ok, two suitcases are almost packed. I'm really wanting to get it all packed but what will we use till we leave. So the 2 big suitcase have all our clothes in them. We'll leave those in the car and take the overnight with us to the hotels. Don't wanna be dragging crap back and forth to the car. I kinda like this because my house is getting a little organized again. lol.

Been busy bubble wrapping, boxing and packing. I swear it looks like we are moving. The cats are getting all freaked out. Can't start loading the van till Monday, I still need to take it and get it cleaned and vacuumed. I'll do that when I get off work Monday morning. Back to laundry and packing.

Kat, don't let what I said about my cats scare you. I just happen to get a brother and sister that are destructive. I hate it because I really like them, they are so funny. We never had a dog because when we moved in here ther were already 10 dogs in 4 backyards and it was very noisy. So we chose to have kats. Heidi was a dream and so was Skylar. We never had a problem with either one. I truly miss them alot. Before we were married I had a black Lab. Sluggo was his name. I lived at Lake of the Ozarks at the time and had the hardest time keeping that dog out of the lake. Everytime I looked up, he was in someones boat. He loved life and the lake. We left him with my parents when I got married, there was no way we were going to take him out of the country and turn him into a city dog. I would have loved to have had another dog but hubby and I have decided in our late age that we didn't want to have to take care of anymore animals. Not to mention the fact that every time we leave to go somewhere we have to find a sitter. Not easy to do.

Morning. Home from the gym. So glad that is over with. Now off to go take a shower and then take sis to the grocery store. Tracy, Our cats have always been declawed. We did that because the first 10 years of our marriage we had a waterbed and those two don't go together well. We had Heidi for 17 years before she passed away and she was actually our daughter. She was such a huge part of our life so it was devastating when she died. I held her in my arms while they put her to sleep. I held her for a long time before they took her away. I have never cried so much in my life and it still brings a tear to my eyes even after her being gone for 10 years. So I resisted when everyone told me to get another cat, how rude I thought. So if your child died would you like for me to say to you to just go and have another one??? Jeez. Well after about 3 years I let a girl talk me into taking 2 of the kittens she had from her litter. Biggest mistake I have made. I've tried very hard to not become attached to my cats but you do eventually give in. I would be really hurt if anything happened to them but I'm looking forward to them being gone. Don't think of my as a meanie, but these 3 that I have have destroyed my house. They have pooped, pee'd, furballed, puked and everything else they can to to my carpet and furniture. Hair everywhere. We can't wear black clothes without people knowing we have cats. I have an account at the back that I had to because when these 3 are gone I will need to be doing some remodeling. I keep a clean house but you can still tell we have cats. But thru all of that I do enjoy them, they crack me up. Their personalities are precious and hubby and I love playing with them. Good luck with yours. Weather is supposed to be in the low 80's this weekend, what a relief. I hope I can get some swimming in before we leave on vacation because by the time we get back it will be time to close the pool. Be back soon.

Kat, good thing you guys didn't get pulled over by the cops. Post the pic if you get a chance, would love to see it. Michelle, I told my niece that it looks like we are moving back to L.A. Actually the table was my grandfather's, we are taking it to give to my brother. If I had the room I would load the baby grand piano up also. It sits in my living room and the cas are the only ones that play it. I did not inherited my dad's talent of playing. I got his looks, just not his talent.

Home from the dentist. Good news, no cavaties. Kat, I had read that on FB and what a freaky story. I would have been running around crazed. But glad it all came out good. Poor little thing. Tracy, glad to hear that the girl upstairs is gone. I bet you are enjoying that. Last night I found my high school friend on FB. I had to really go digging to find her. She isn't registered with our school, but I found someone that was a friend of her brothers and and I went thru all those sites and found her. She e-mailed me this morning. I have some of the best memories of us and I miss her alot. I lost track of her after I moved her and she went to the University of San Francisco. Hopefully we will pick right back up where we left off at. Now I wished I had taken another week off at work so I would be able to spend some time with her. I'm getting things organized. Boxes are boxed. Furniture wrapped. Things bought. Sunday night I will get the suitcases out and start getting things put in. I swear it looks like we are moving back there. LOL, NOT. Off to work. See ya later this evening.

Funny embarrassing story. Yesterday I got a package in the mail. It was from Roaman's clothing. I finally gave up in trying to make it to the bra store so I order some out of the catalog. Now, I'm ashamed to admit but I have been wearing the same 2 bras for the last 2 years.:huh2: They no longer fit and you can tell it but I hate shopping for bra's. I mean hate doing it. So I open the package and went in and tried them on. I put the first one on and thought it felt great. Right size and comfortable. So I put a shirt on and the first thing I notice is that I have 2 HIGH bumps on my chest. Really HIGH. It cracked me up. These girls haven't been this high since 10th grade. I walk over to where hubby is at in the computer room. Holy smokes, you would have thought I had just stepped out of Playboy. :w00t: He cracked me up, he just couldn't get over the fact that they were alive again. :tongue2:. I kept waiting for my sister to say something, guess she just didn't care or paid attention. Today I am wearing the other bra. It's got them up but not as high and tight. More like a saturday afternoon bra. Just nice and comfy. If hubby acted that way over a bra transformation, how is he going to handle the breast lift when I get it???????:tt1:

Morning, I woke up to 54 degree weather. Fall is teasing us. Angela, when my husband worked at the Auto Plant, they had no heating or AC. During the summer months it would get horribly hot in that building. One of the guys close to where my hubby work had a thermometer near his tool box and it would register up into the 120's. The compnay used to supply salt tablets but they changed that and would place barrells of Gatorade bottles around for the guys. They also handed out the bandanas that had the cooly stuff in it. You get them wet and then tie them around your neck to help cool your blood. Even with all they tried to do there was alway a call for the ambulance to come and get someone that was having a heat stroke. During those few months, hubby was not allowed to kiss me when he got home. He had to go take a shower first. He tasted of salty sweat. Alot of times he would stay outside till it was time to go to bed because the AC in the house would make him sick. So glad those days are over with. Good Luck with your son and keep him hydrated. Cindy. I hate that you have been put in that position but it is kind of a blessing. At least someone will do something so that the child doesn't suffer anymore. But hopefully it is not a case of abuse that has gotten out of hand. Poor thing. I was going to go with hubby to the gym this morning but didn't wake up till he was leaving. So after he gets home I will take off and go for a walk by myself. Have a great day.

Tracy, we will be in Pasadena. But while we are in the area we might just go over to the Alamo. So I'm on FB chatting with Bob. He proceeds to tell me that there is a fire real close to my brother's house. So I go to the TV station news and look it up. I told him I didn't know where this town was that they were talking about. I go to mapquest and pull it up. Good One Bob, that's about 50 miles north of my brothers. So I told him to hold on, I think I know someone that might be headed there. Sure enough I go over to check Michelle's site and she was just posting that Michael was on his way there. Michelle, I'm keeping all of the fire fighters and helpers in my prayers. Good Luck to them and hope they get it out fast.

Well, we hit the jackpot at K-Mart. I love that store and would shop there more but they are in the next town over, about 10 miles. Hubby got 2 new pairs of shorts(on sale) and I found a Chiefs shirt to take to my brother. We came home and got stuff off of the garage shelf to be put int the car to take out there with us. Hubby pulled the Harley out and let it run for awhile and cleaned it. I swept the garage while he did that. Now it is on to laundry. And yes Kat, I am dragging my ass to do this. Getting old is hell. But wanna get it done so I can veg later today. I was going to make spaghetti for dinner but ready Kat's post I might make a few meatballs to go with it. I found a big box of Mason jars so I listed them on Freecycle. Hope they pick them up soon. Be back soon.

Hey. Home from work and eating a bowl of oatmeal. Then hubby and I are going to take off and go get winterizing stuff for the pool. I'll also run into K-Mart to see if they have any shorts left for him. Wal-Mart didn't have any yesterday. Then it's home to get done what we didn't get done yesterday. Kat, we should be in you area probably on the 14th. We'll call you as we get closer and then look for a hotel to stay at. It will be either Tuesday or Wednesday depending on our progress. T & A, that should put us in your area either 16th or 17th. Depending on when we leave Kat's. Plus we will have one stop in OK. from there. Not sure if we will spend one or two nights there. I know hubby will want to see the Alamo while we are there. I just want a margarita, or two. Ok, off to get things done.

For the longest time my nephew has wanted to be a Chef. He talked about going back to school to become one. He is actually a Union Electrician but would like to be a Chef. So over the years we have heard about these marvelous meals that he cooks. We hear it from him and from all the people that have been invited over to there house. Hummm, we've never been invited. And I have mentioned this several times. Now the girlfriend is bragging about the meals that they have. She has even gone on FB and bragged about the meals she has made for his family, and yes I have commented about how his family wasn't invited. I do it jokingly. So yesterday they bring all the kids and the dog over to go swimming. The girlfriend tells us she put a pork roast in the crockpot before they had left that morning and would we like to come over for dinner. Hubby and I decided that we had better go (even though we were tired and didn't feel like getting out) since we finally got an invite. Ok, so I know it's not nice to complain but after all I have heard about their cooking, I was really disappointed. Granted my nephew did not do the cooking and it wasn't that it was horrible, it just had no flavor to it. She didn't use any seasoning. Not sure if that is because of the kids but it was very bland. I even poured gravy on the meat and veggies. I finally broke down and used salt. Oh well, we were invited and we went. Plus I got to spend more time with the kids and we had a good time. Jenn, we are still warm here. 90 today but it will cool off into the 80's this week till next weekend when the temps go back up to the 90's. The lows will be in the 50's. Today might be the only day I go swimming. Lots to do today. I have to go get some stuff for the pool, Get my pedi, move the Harley out and clean it, get stuff off the shelf to put in van for out trip, put the Harley back in and get it covered and then housework. Have a great day everyone.

We had such a good time yesterday at the party. Her house is about 100 years old and it comes with about 3/4 of an acre. The trees were huge and there was so much shade. We took along our folding chairs and sat outside the whole time. There was a nice gentle breeze and it was just lovely. We got to meet all of her friends and they were great. They acted like the had known us for years. It was great. I have noticed as I get older that I also get more mellow and tolerant. More accepting of things. Not that they don't shock me, I just handle it better. I think hubby is also getting that way too. He did great yesterday and made some new friends. Now it's off to California and on to our tattoed nephew. We haven't seen him in a really long time. A few years ago a couzin of mine said she found him on My Space, so I joined there and went and looked at his profile. Seriously, from his upper neck all the way down, he is tattoed. I know I will never have one bit I am intrigued by them. I'm looking forward to seeing him and checking out the tatts. Today is a lazy day. Will probably spend most of it swimming. I'm gonna go take a walk here soon and get that over with before it gets to hot. Tomorrow is pedicure day, I can't hardly wait. I haven't done any trimming thinking I would just wait. Now I know I really need one because when I walk I can feel them hitting. It's count down time to our trip. The spare room is getting loaded with things that we will be taking out with us. I told my niece last night it is going to look like we are moving in with them, lol. I'm looking forward to this trip. Have a great day and I will check in later.

Saturday morning and I'm up because it is my day to work. We had some really huge storms last night. No problems here but there were a few houses hit by lightning. Lots of water. Pool is full. We are going to an "Open House" today. A girl we work with moved into a place and she is having all her friends over. We really like her alot, she is very vocal and fun loving. She is also very openly gay, I mean VERY openly. Hubby is worried that he's going to see something that he shouldn't see. I told him that right now she doesn't have a girl friend but that her other friends may be there and to be prepared. I've been around it all my life and it doesn't bother me. He's an old country boy and has only seen stuff on tv. He'll be fine. It's not like they are going to be having sex right in front of us. lol, he's a goof ball. I'm thinking of super glueing my lips together. Do you think that doing that for about 2-3 weeks will get me started back on not shoving things into my mouth? I thought about having my mouth wired shut. But I've heard that people loose teeth that way. Just a thought. Have a good day.

Hey guys, It's raining here now. We really need it though. grass around here is brown. I worked a long shift and then went and got Sis and took her to the grocery store. It was pretty hot out there so I moved her along. Took her home and than came home and put my bathing suit on. Hubby and I got in the pool for about an hour It started to cloud up. I got a call from the second shift girl saying that the owner was there showing the place. We've known for a long time that she has the place on the market. Her and her husband want to move to Colorado. Hope she finds someone soon. Off to go make a pork chop casserole, hubby's favorite. Bye.

Morning Girls. I went to bed at 12:30 and got up at 6am. I'll get my butt moving here soon, have to go catch the School Bus...... Today is Abby's first day in "K". So I'm gonna go pick my nephew up and go over to the Ex's to see Abby off to school. I'll be taking my camera so I will post later. Hubby and I had a great time last night. One of the reasons we went was becasue the temperature has really dropped here alot. We sat with the windows partially opened and it got a little cool. The movie was ok. Lots of explosions and guns going off. No twists or plots, just go in and kill as many as you can and get out alive. But it was just us being together all by ourselves that meant the most. There are actually 2 drive-in movies here. The one we went to has four screens and the other has 2 screens. Not sure how much longer they will be around. 3D is taking over and not sure you get as good of effects from drive-in. Kat, hope Kinsey is feeling better. So you're 50 now. Welcome to my world. Michelle, congrats on the big win. We play that a couple of times a year at church. I really wish I could find a group and play it more often. Tracy, I know you're still waiting for the phone to ring and I hope that it rings soon for you. Hang in there. Your time will come. You still getting in the pool? Terrie. Looks like we will be coming thru there right around the 14th. When we leave my brother's I will give Kat a call and then she can call you. We will be spending the night, so that will give us time to visit. OK, Off to go dry my hair and get ready for the Cheese Wagon, LOL. Have a great day.

Kat, it's so good to have you back. It sounds like you had a wonderful except for the two scary incidents. That is weird about Bob Dylan, wonder if it is true that he wasn't even there. Just glad you guys are home safe. Any problems with the house or the people that were doing crazy things before you left? Yesterday I went to see my Band Doc. I didn't even get to see him. Never did find out why but they rescheduled me for the 29th of Sept. I told them several times that I needed to speak to him about the Hiatal hernia. Well, I did get to see his assistant. She is actually the one that took the 4cc's out of my band 2 months ago. So the first thing they do is put you on the scale. I managed to gain 11 pounds. I was upset about it but not beating myself up. How can you lay in bed for weeks and not snack while watching TV. She told me that typically they see a 40 pound gain in people that went thru what I did. She said I did really good and that it won't take long for me to take that 11 off. She did say that I had been overfilled and she will not allow that to happen again. I did tell her that I felt so much better since the unfill. She gave me a little fill, not sure how much I didn't ask. But I could tell because I wasn't able to eat like crazy since then. She went over the guidelines again and showed me a new thing they have. It's a plate that's smaller than a regular dinner plate. It has these really pretty swirls on it but it also shows your portions. How much protein, veggies and fruit you should be eating at each meal. We actually talked for about 15 minutes. She really knocked me over the head without beating me up. I love it and am going to use what she talked to me about. We left there and went to Chili's to meet up with my friend. We sat there for about an hour and a half chatting and had a really good time. Hubby and I are going to go to the drive-in movies tonight. We are going to go see, yes a hubby movie. The Expandables. That will keep him happy for awhile. Went Bra hunting this morning. I wish that was so much easier to do. Nothing, so tomorrow I will be back at it again. Tomorrow is Abagail's first day at "K". So I am going over there to see her off on her very first Bus ride. She was so excited the other day telling me about going to school. Hope you all have a great day.
