Thank you Kat, Your words are very kind and I guess I needed to hear that. I know how far I have come and am extremely proud of it. But as you saw, I still have a ways to go. I'm hoping to lose another 75 pounds at least. So I do get down on myself and berate myself. But sometimes I feel that that is what I need to do to get it thru my head that I need to get this done. I know at this point that if I never loose another pound, I'm still happy. Just this summer being at Disneyland with my husband and being able to ride the rides was huge for me. Things like that happening are what make me smile and do keep me going. Just got a call from the Docs office. Looks like I will be having my surgery the second week of Nov. I'll let you guys know tomorrwo what day. We are waitng on the Insurance to let us know what hospital. 2 days before I have to have all the fluid taken out of my band and it will be 6 weeks before they put any back in. Holy Cow. I know I can, I know I can, I know I can make it thru the 6 weeks. The nurse did tell me that they got approval for revision or replacement. That way if he got in there and saw something wrong with my band that he can go ahead and fix it and not have to do surgery over again. As much as I would like to have a new band, if this one is not broke then don't fix it.

Angela, About 21 years ago I quit smoking. I mean I just walked away from them. I guess it helped that I was really sick and in the hospital for 2 weeks. But when I got out, I never picked up another cigarette. I so wish I could quit shoveling food into my mouth as easy as it was for me to quit smoking. I find control over aome other stuff in my life, I just struggle with the food issue.

Can someone come here immediatly??????????? I need help. I just made a homemade Apple Cake with walnuts. It's in the oven baking right now. Am I out of my freaky head???????? This is going to be a great test for me. A few pieces will stay here but I'm going to take the rest of it into work at the hospital. Still, I'm crazy.

Tracy, I'm very proud of you for making it one day. That is exactly how I'm going to approach this. One day at a time. Maybe even one hour at a time. No more looking to tomorrow, I need to get thru today first. So far so good. It's raining, well really misting and supposed to all day. Guess I won't get my walking in. I did workout this morning, so that will help. Cindy, I love the new pic. Back years ago I hated to have my picture took. Because I didn't like looking at what I looked like. Now I'm searching for pics of me then. Cause I'm so amazed at what a difference 200 pounds makes. I still don't like to have my picture taken but now it's doesn't bother me as much any more. Actually I'm getting used to it. I feel like a nap coming on.

Did my walk and it felt good. I took off and mailed a package to my brother in California. I think it would have been cheaper to drive it there myself. And get there sooner then Thursday. lol. Went over to Zarda BBQ. They are having their Rib Fest. So I got 4 slabs of ribs, 1 quart of cole slaw, 1 quart of Beans and 2 lunch specials. I asked the girl if $60.00 would cover it. She charged me $45.00. She used to date my nephew and the lady in line in front of me is a good friend of mine and her son owns the store. She got hers free and I got mine at a reduced price. I'm happy. I'm gonna freeze 2 slabs for Christmas. Normally their ribs ar $21.00 a slab. Got my housework done. Working on laundry and then I'm gonna chill for awhile.

Good Saturday morning Folks. We have been having some of the most beautiful weather here. I wonder how much longer it will last. I know they are calling for in the 60's about the middle of the week. That's still not bad. Great walking weather. Jenn, WOOT WOOT. T&A, I forgot to mention to you guys that Darrell and I stopped by Buc ees on our way back. Holy Cow. You could spend a fortune in there. And I have to admit that they do have the nicest, cleanest bathrooms ever. We actually got out of there without buying anything,, go figure. I highly recommend it to everyone. A Texas must see. Ok, off to go do my walk. See ya all soon.

Thanks Michelle, if I get back that way I will take a better picture of the tree. That was with my cell phone. I called the Band Doc this morning and told them to file the insurance to get the hiatal hernia repaired. I told them that I know it will take about 2 weeks for it to go thru so if possible I would like to schedule surgery right after Halloween. Now to really work on getting some more weight off. Came home and started in like a tornado. I got a lot of windows washed and did a bunch of other stuff I had been putting of done. Now I need about a half hour nappy before heading into work. I'll check in later tonight.

Today is Family Breakfast day at Cracker Barrell. I really look forward to these. We always have so much fun. I went yesterday to Wal-greens and had pictures made from our trip so everyone can see. Kat, I haven't had a chance to look anything up on that tree. The trail we walked on was really cool but we had to watch out for Sumac. That's easy to do this time of year because it turns a real vibrant red and you can spot it a mile away. I look forward to walking that trail again. I think Friday we are going to walk Railroad Park. We have to go places were we can take the dog with us. Can't wait to see pictures of Izzy. Tracy, after my Mom had passed away I was having a hard time dealing with it. I went to the Docs and he put me on Celexa. I took it for about 4 months and then weaned myself off. It really helped me out. I didn't have any problems taking it. I just needed a little help getting out of the slump I was in. I would take it again in a heartbeat if I need it. I'm so jealous of Jenn. I keep thinking of the pic she posted. She looks wonderful. She's my incentive. Ok, need to go dry my hair. Have a great day everyone.

So Darrell and I go to the gym this morning and I walked almosta mile on the treadmill and then did 2 miles on the bike. Came home and fixed some oatmeal and called my friend Michelle. I drove over to her place which is about 5 miles from here. She lives at a lake and we took the dog and off we went. We walked for a little while and then took a trail thru the woods that brings you out at a park. From there we took the road back to her house. It was such a great walk along the shoreline of the lake and there is a great litle breeze blowing. So I did a total of about 4.7 miles today and I still have to go work at the Hospital this evening. We ran across this tree in our walk. I guess I will have to look it up to see what it is. If you know, give me a holler.

I agree with you Plain. One more thing I like about going- People don't look at me like the lady that should be in the tent for the worlds fattest lady. lol. Chimney sweep just left. Bring on the snow and cold now, oh wait....Kat, can we borrow some wood????

I sure will be glad when they finish remodeling our Wal-Mart. It's been 2 weeks since I have been there and I still can't find anything. The chimney sweep was supposed to come at 3pm today, he just called and wants to come at 1:30. Good thing my house is somewhat clean. A lady that was banded that lives about 4 miles from here came over today and we went fr a walk. she brought her dog. We had a good time. Be back soon.

Hey guys. Jenn, those pictures are great and you look awesome. Quit being so hard on yourself, you have done great and I for one am proud of you. Your daughter is beautiful. Kat, hope your tummy gets to feeling better. I know I feel beter after having a few days of the flu. Now just need to get a little sleep and all will be well. My younger sis and I drove out to Sibley today to go get apples. I haven't been there in about 4 years. Last year we drove out to Kansas and decided that was to far to go. So I had my mouth set for some apple cider donuts. They don't make them there. My heart was broke. I was really wanting some. I did end up buy a couple of pumpkins and some apple jelly, so it wasn't a toatl loss. Maybe next weekend I can drive out to Louisburg and get my donuts, it's only once a year. Tonight hubby and I went to our first class at church. He has decided to join and now will have to take classes. So I am going with him to make him feel more comfortable and take notes for him. lol. He'll also be able to ask me questions. I'm really excited for him and hope that he keeps going strong. I really need to get my butt in gear. I have that 5K coming up in a few weeks and really need to get my endurance up. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Kat, after meeting Rick in person, I would have expected no less from him. He has that kind of heart that will walk a mile for you if he saw you in distress. What a lovely virtue in a person. Something we should all strive for.I'm s glad to hear that your visit went wonderful and that you got to spend time with the boys. Isn't it amazing how they do grow up so fast. We are having a silent auction at work to raise money for Breast Cancer research. So today I went to Hobby Lobby and bought 2 different patterns of fleece. Even though they are different they still go together. So I blocked and cut them and then tied them together. They are primarily pink and black, a very popular colors. It's all done and I will take it into work. Tracy, did your cry seem to help you out? I know that when I do have a good cry that I'm able to think a little more clearer. I'm able to put things in prospective. I hope you get some relief. Where's Terri at. She hasn't checked in in a long time.

Hubby and I went over to see "The Wall that Heals" exhibit here. It was amazing. I'm posting pics but let me warn you, it was windy and I look more like a wicked witch then I should. But we enjoyed the whole thing and even got some info on hubbys time in the Air Force. Afterwards we went to brunch and I couldn't even eat half of what I got. I think I got a good fill yesterday.

Jenn, I saw the weather reports, be very careful. So sad about Tony Curtis. I love his movies. Yesterday was a very longgggg day for me. But I did get some good news from one of the Docs. First appointment was to go give blood for my poisoning check-up. I have to be tested periodically for this. Second appointment was with my kidney Doc. All is well and she is very happy with my results. The third one was with my fill Doc. I did get a fill which was very much needed. I had actually only gained a little over 2 pounds while I was on the road for 3 weeks, so I was happy with that. But he did tell me that I do need to have the Hiatal Hernia repaired. He did say that I could wait till I was ready to do it. I told him I just wasn't looking forward to more surgery right now. So Hubby and I are going to talk about this. I'm thinking that maybe after the holidays would be ok. The next couple of days here in my home town, they have "The Wall that Heals". Sometime today Hubby and I are going to go over to see it. I know a few people that served in Vietnam but I don't know anyone on the wall. I'll have to remember to bring some tissues. Have a good day everyone.

Jenn, that happened to my sister and me one time. We were in a restaurant while they were interviewing a women about her neighborhood. You couldn't tell it was me, I knew because I had been there. Was so thankful they didn't get my face. lol. Went to bed at 8:30 last night and only got up twice to go potty. I'm feeling ok, just a little sluggish. I have to work for a few hours then off to go to give blood for my test. Then head to the kidney Doctor for my 6 month check up. Then off to go see my fill Doctor. He's gonna decide if I need to get my hiatal hernia repaired, hoping not. It hasn't bothered me since my unfill right before my spine surgery. Then it's back to work for about 5 hours. So glad I have tomorrow off. Kat, Phone Home. Have a great day.

Ughhhh. I have the flu bug. I hate feeling this way. So I'm going to try to go to bed early tonight and get some good rest. The last few days have been hectic. Doing double shifts and not feeling good is taking a toll. I have Thursday off work so maybe a little rest will do me good. Hi Everyone.

Morning Girls. Up and getting ready for work then off to breakfast with my group. We do this about every 3 months so that we can keep in touch with each other. It's a lot of fun. Then I have to go back to work this evening. Debbie. My husband and I volunteer at our local hospital. We have been doing it for about 3 1/2 years now and absolutely love it. I too also get a good feeling when I leave there knowing that I made a little impact on someones life. Even if it's just if I opened a door, delivered a pump, helped a nurse or got a water pitcher, it just brings a high to my life. Even hubby seems a little more humble when we get home. Yesterday we waited for my nephew to come over to help us get the steps out. He said he was going to wait till after the San Diego game. Well, that meant that it would be about 6:30pm before they would get here. So BIL came up and helped hubby and I pull the steps out. Got the chemicals put in and stirred up. Today hubby will finish draining and then we will put the cover on. I may look into having it done next year. Seems like it would be a lot easier. Yesterday I noticed that my back hurt some. Nothing real bad.Like maybe I had overused it a little. This morning it is the same way. Then I figured it out. The temps have been getting down in the low fifties and I'm thinking because of the surgery that it's just tightening up. Great, another thing to look forward to as I get older. My knees already let me know when it's going to rain or snow. Hi Kat. We miss you. Have a great day.
