  1. Good Luck tomorrow Tracy. Boy it's been a long time for this appointment. I hope yours goes as well as mine did. Keep us posted.
  2. Worked, took Sis to Doc's. Took Sis to store and Post Office. Grabbed hubby and went to vote. Came home and ate a little lunch, laid and watched a movie with Hubby and now back to work. And DANG it's hot out there today. Hope you all are having a good one.
  3. Home form work and very tired. I didn't sleep well last night. Oh well. Hubby and I are going to take off here soon and go shopping for pool stuff. We need to replace a few things. Then after that we will stop at Side Pockets to get our $5 bacon cheeseburger and fries. Thank to the Royals for winning, lol. Michelle, that is horrible about the amount you have to pay. Just me and hubby and our 2 vehicles run us about $600 a year. And that is with a $250 deductible. Tracy, Crap on who ever is doing that to you. You should feel free to come here and tell us what you need to say. But I do understand. So I will await your PM's and see you on FB. Boss came into work this morning from her vacation and I talked to her about taking the last Thursday of our vacation. That gives us 4 extra days. I'm so excited about that. I just wasn't looking forward to being rushed. So now we should have time to stop in Palm Spring, Phoenix, Aztec and Pasadena Tex. I'm still working on the dates but hope it all works out. Terri, How's it going with the new Band? Hope you are doing great.
  4. Tracy, are you using the same Doctor who did your Band to do the BY-pass? It sounds like it. You say you feel like you let him down but that he is there for you. Just wondering. Which ever way you decide to go I applaud you. Just putting your health in priority is huge. Women tend to put it last behind their husbands and kids. Good luck.
  5. Jenn, tell your daughter that I said "Happy Birthday". Hope you all have a great day.
  6. Tracy, a girl I know had the by-pass and lost all her weight to ony regain a lot of it back. She then went in to have the band and has lost all of the weight again. Can you find out if you can still keep the band and then have the by-pass? I'm not sure they can do that but I would think if they can put the band on after a by-pass that they should be able to leave yours in.
  7. Good Luck Tracy, Keep us posted on all the new info you find out.
  8. Hey girls. Busy day today. Yesterday I had went tot he Docs to get something for the spasms in my back. He gave me some stuff to take. It comes in 10mg tablets and I'm to cut it in half and take 5mg 3X's a day. So I took one last evening, went to bed at 10pm and didn't get up till 8am. Knocked me out. I'm only going to take it at night from now on. We got up and did some housework and then got ready to head to the hospital. We took BIL's brother out to lunch and had a good talk with him about Randy and what is going to happen to him. Looks like the brother will eventually move him down to New Orleans. He's got a long road ahead of him. They actually had him sitting on the side of the bed today for about 2 minutes when he started to lean over. Hubby went to work out this morning and came home with some bad news. One of the guys that he met there passed away Tuesday. He would always come in and give hubby a bad time about when he was going to ride his Harley in, always teasing him about it. The guy would always ride his bike in if the weather was good. Well tuesday he died riding his Harley. That's 2 tragedies here recently for us. I told hubby if he never road his bike again that I would not be upset. But I didn't think we need to sell the bike. He has always been the kind that says that as long as he owns one, he is ok. Got home and the neighbors came over to swim. We were in the pool for almost 2 hours. They are gone now and hubby and I heated up our leftovers. Now it is just chillin time.
  9. Thanks Jenn, You have a great day also. Sitting here trying to wake up. I'm off to the Docs here soon. Than I need to go grocery shopping for my sis and take it over to her place. Then home. But I have to work later today. Last night at work we had a very interesting discussion on being Gay. We discussed the fact that if you had relations with a person and were even married for years and then divorced and then moved on to a same sex person, that you are not gay. It was really interesting to get everyone's view of it. One day last week they were discussing it on "The View". Hot, Hot and more Hot today and for the next week. Yup, it's still July here. I'll check in later. Have a great day.
  10. Hey Girls. Very long day and I am totally exhausted. I went back to work at the hospital. Didn't work a full shift, I pooped out after about 4 1/2 hours. But it did feel really good to be back. And they missed us so much. Michelle, so sorry about the job. You were so excited about getting it. Maybe something better will pop up. Kat, I don't need a t-shirt. I'll pick up one or two on our trip But I am getting jealous of your trip, sounds like too much fun. Tracy, Can you put a hot pack on your neck? I hate when I do that and don't realize it till I go to turn my head for something, ouch. Angela, Please don't let the sister interfere with you relationship with your dad. You still have a long road to travel to get a good relationship, don't let her undermine it. Maybe she will eventually come around. Terrie, Hi. Hope you are still mending good. I'm so jealous of your newness. Ok, I took some Loratab and now I'm having a hard time keeping my eyes open. Heading off to bed soon. I have a Doc appointment at 8am. I need to see about some muscle relaxers. I have been getting spasms in my back. Not sure if it is related to the surgery or not. Have a great one.
  11. Home from work and sisters. Just chillin out for a little than we are headed into the pool. We'll be busy for the next few days, so we have to get our time in now. Kat, any problems since you put the alarms in? Terri, sounds like things are going well so far with the banding. I know it's hard but you can do this. Losing weight with the band is the easy part. Keeping yourself from over doing it is the hardest. I even find myself eating things that I should not but do thinking that if I eat a little it won't hurt. Well actually it does. Because I always want more. Good luck.
  12. Happy Birthday, Michelle. And Many More.
  13. Tracy, I hope that you get this if it is really what you want. I am not a fan of people switching over to the by-pass. It's my own opinion. But if you can't have success with the band what makes you think you will have success with the by-pass. Do you really think that losing the weight with the by-pass will be the end of it all. Not hardly. Once you lose it you will still have to make sure that you follow a very strict diet to make sure that you don't regain it. I personally know of several people that lost over 100 pounds to only gain most of it back because they didn't make major changes in their lives. At least with the band if you gain it back you can go in for an adjustment. With the by-pass, nothing. No adjustments. This is just my own opinion but remember that no matter what you choose, I will cheer you on.
  14. Tracy, I hate when my thumbnails get to short to text with on my phone. Funny about dsd, my nephew is real huge about letting us know his b-day is coming up. It's kinda funny, only difference is that we actually hear from him several times a month. I'm home from work, gas station and grocery store. I went there to buy a piece of lemon pie to take to my bil in the hospital. Nope, they didn't have any yet. So I bought him a bag on mixed candy bars. Other than that, later this afternoon I'm going to get some sewing done. Where's Terri? I hope she is getting along with the Band.
  15. Morning. Sitting here drinking my sugar free hot cocoa. Yummy. Off to work and then home to pick hubby, sis and bil up and head to the hospital to check on the other bil. He's in a regular room now. Sounds like things are going well. Not sure about swim time today. I may need to lay off for a few days. Getting water logged. Have a great day.
  16. Tracy, so glad you had fun at the water park. Closest one here is 15 miles away. Done with the pool for the day. I have the grill going now with chicken on it. Noodles cooking on the stove and green beans also. Then I'm done for the day. Gotta work in the morning. Kat, I certainly hope someone from your family accidently left that there. Still creepy though.
  17. Morning Girls. Tracy, I'm so glad you mentioned the prices. I was serioulsy thinking aout taking Hubby to the circus next month when it is here. But I think he would have a fit if he saw those prices. I'm still worried about our trip to Disneyland. I was thinking of bringing t-shirts back to my sister and am afraid of how much they will cost. Yesterday the next door neighbor and her daughter came over to swim. We had such a good time. She brought a bucket of margaita's and we were able to do some serious talking. Hopefully she can come back over today so we can finish our talk. I think it does us both good. I have to tell you this cute story. You know that I had surgery last month, well. Hubby and I were talking about our trip and I told him that we would be going by Camp Pendelton and that we might stop and take a tour. He wanted to know if it was a Navy base and I told him no that it wasn't. I've known for years that he would like to tour a ship. So I told him as we got closer to San Diego we would see the ships but that I didn't know if we would be able to tour them, not sure if we need to make plans for that. I also told him that he would probably have to take the tour by himself, that I didn't think I would be able to do the tour. So he proceeds to tell me that I probably couldn't go because it is very tight quarters. "Ummm, Did you just call me Fat?" I asked him. He was stunned and stumbling on his words. He said "No". I just mean that with the small hatches and doorways...Again I asked him if he just said I was fat. It was so precious. I told him that what I was saying that he would have to take the tour by himself because I didn't think I was up to climbing the ladders and stairs thru the tour. Not sure if my back would hold up to it. I've been laughing for days about this. He would never say anything to hurt my feelings and he is just stunned by this. I think I'll quit teasing him about it. Not much going on today. Trying to talk myself into going out for a 30 minute walk. The weather here today is beautiful and I want to enjoy it for the day. Just need to get my butt moving. Kat, 2 weeks from today?????? I bet you are getting excited. Jenn, so good to see you posting alot more. I love it and the updates. Have a great day and enjoy your families.
  18. Kat, that is truly scary. I sure hope all is ok with your car. I know how you feel about it, I would hate to know someone messed with mine. Are the Police going to patrol the area? Terri, so glad to hear from you. I never had any problems sleeping except for the fact that I'm a stomach sleeper. Took me a while to get used to side sleeping but I'm back to normal now. I took gasX but only for about two days. I never really had a problem with all the gas like I hear other people do. Good luck to you. Nice quiet evening here. Hubby and I watched a movie. Now it's off to bed. I'm working a full shift tomorrow and then off ot the hospital to check on BIL. They took him off the vent today and he was able to say his name. Now they just need to finish assesing(sp?) what all is wrong. Will he have full use of everything. Have a good one and I will check in soon.
  19. Kat, that is scary and I hope you do get new curtains. I like leaving my windows open but only on the back of the house. That is because no one can get back there. But to find evidence of maybe some one snooping, creepy. Every night before I go to sleep I always make sure that the closet doors are closed. Hubby wants to know why I do that. You never know when someone is lurking I tell him, lol. But it's just one of those little habits I have. Hubby and I just spent 1 1/2 in the pool. It was so nice. It's very hot out and the sun is shining like crazy, so I had him spray me down good with the suntan lotion. No more sunburns fo me.
  20. Morning Ladies. I was hoping we would have heard from Terri by now. I hope all is ok with her. I have been trying for the last 3 days to follow the New Bandster rules. I start out the day with a smoothie and it goes down hill from there. Can't figure out why I don't tell myself "NO" when I start to reach for something. Need to figure out why I'm doing that. Went to the hospital yesterday to check on BIL. He was actually raised in the bed and had his eyes open. You could tell he was tired but he did acknowledge that we were there. He still has the vent in but they should be removing it soon. They say he is breathing on his own but they are reluctant to remove it. Anyway, he's very slowing improving. They are calling today "Thermal Thursday". It is supposed to get up to 110 with a lot of humidity. I'm gonna leave here in a little and go get the sis and take her to the store before it gets too hot. Then it's back here and into the pool for me. Oh, and lots of sunscreen this time. lol.
  21. Bye Cindy, I'll be thinking of you. Good luck to your step daughter and also to you. Kat, I have never heard of Furries. I have never seen one either. Is it like those tails that you sometimes see hanging out of peoples trunks to make you think that there is a cat inside? Well, I don't have a clue as to why anyone would want to wear one out in public. Not to much going on today. I have a doctors appointment later this afternoon with the Dermatologist. If it doesn't rain I may try to get in the pool. I hope Terri is doing good.
  22. Our old next door neighbors had 8 dogs when we moved in. We never reported it, but the city law is no more than 5 animals in a household. Tehy would let them out and they would yippie all day long. They swore they never heard them from inside their house and therefor didn't see a problem. Years later they were down to about 4 dogs and my mom was living with us then. They would leave the dogs out all day while they were at work and they would bark all the time. My mom complained to me about it so I took the phone and went out on our deck and called them. I left a real nice message on the phone about how I was sorry but the dogs were really annoying and bothering my mom. Well, in the back ground you could really hear these dogs going at it. They got the message and kept them in till they got home. The only time we have ever complained about anyone's animals was when the guy down the street let his pit bull out and it went on a killing rampage. Animal control took their time coming out but eventually got everyones side of the story and they fined the guy. To late, other animals were already dead. He has since gotten rid of the dog and has also moved out. I hope Terri's surgery went well today.
  23. Good Luck Terri, let us know when you are home.
  24. My little 10 year old next door neighbor is coming over soon. Next week she has been invited to go on a cruise with a friend and their parents and she called and wanted to know if I had any work that she could do so that she could get some money for her vacation. I'm getting my baseboards polished, lol. I've got about an hours worth of work for her. I ask hubby if he needed anything done and he said "I need my boots polished". OMG. We laughed but I told him that if he took the time to explain it to her that she would do it. I wonder what the other neighbors will be having her do. Too funny.
  25. Good Luck Terri.
