Anyone Getting Sleeved On March 12 ?
I am doing great! I'm down 44 pounds and have another 44 to go. I have more energy than I've had in years. I almost forget about the surgery until it is time to eat. I've eaten pretty much anything I wanted, but in very small portions. They only thing i have completely avoided is sugar. How are you doing?

1 Year Ago 5/9/11!
Wow you look great! You spoke at my orientation meeting, and that helped me decide on the VSG. I went into the meeting set on getting the Lapband, but you spoke so positively about your surgery I changed my mind right there. Congratulations, I hope I can be as successful as you have been!!!

25 More Lbs To Reach My Goal!
Congrats, you are doing great! I totally get feeling like the same fat chick, I've lost 44 pounds and I really don't see a difference. 10-12 pounds a month is great, I really hope I can see numbers like that a few months out.

My doctor wants me to stay under 600 calories. On a typical day my calories are 400-500. I am 8 weeks out and it seems to be working so far.

Salads When?
I am 8 weeks out and have been eating salad for a few weeks now. It is one of the few things that doesn't seem to upset my stomach at all. I actually eat a lot of lettuce, I have turkey lettuce wraps and cheeseburger lettuce wraps.

Calorie Confusion,
I'm 6 weeks out and my doctor says I need to stay under 600 calories with very few carbs. My portions are so small I haven't hit more than 600 calories a day yet.

Bcbs Of California (Ppo)
My BCBS plan didn't require a six month diet. Good luck with the sleep apnea test. That was how I got approved, I got diagnosed with mild sleep apnea and I had a bmi of 37.6 I think the fact that you have your past 10 years of doctors records can't hurt, but hopefully it won't be necessary for you.

Bcbs Of California (Ppo)
I have BCBS of California and the process was pretty easy for me. They required either a bmi of 40 or a bmi of 35 with co-morbidities. I got a referral from my primary doctor for the surgery, met with the surgeon twice, the nutritionist twice, had a psych and some pre-op testing. My insurance approved my surgery in 3 days from the date the doctors office submitted the paperwork to them. My first appointment with the surgeon was December 18th and my surgery was March 12th. It could have been earlier, but there were some things I had to take care of before the surgery. The 3 months passed VERY quickly. Good luck!! Let me know if you have any more questions.
