  1. that is so wonderful! doesnt it feel good to know they are still in to us? just a little more now...lol
  2. I'm not sure what I thought anymore...lol Everything is so different now compaired to then. I think before I was thinking like the sleeve was going to be this quick thing, that I would lose so fast....but I still couldnt picture myself as thin. Now I still dont think of myself as thin, and my wii doesnt either because it still says that I am in the obese catigory. I dont think that I look fat, just not thin. It is weird. I am so happy that I got the sleeve....no regrets at all! You look great by the way! Can you believe it has been a year already?
  3. All of us that have done or are doig the insurance wait completely understand your frustrations, vent away! It will happen for you!
  4. you really look great! Wow! very beautiful!!!
  5. So my hubby and my daughters went into Kmart to buy something. After they went in I realized that I needed something. I went in and got the thing I needed. I was at the register paying for my stuff when my hubby and kiddos came up to the register across from me. I saw my hubby look over at me, at which time I thought he realized that it was me. He looked me up from the feet to the top.....and then came across my face and then shook his head. He didn't realize that it was me at all. When he did his face had this shocked and embarressed look on it. He laughed and said, "I just got caught checking out my own wife....haha!" I thought it was pretty cool that I am skinny (and sexy) enough for my own hubby to check me out Love it!!!!
  6. that is so wonderful...inspiring!
  7. three week stall.....happens to almost all! its not magic, it wont just disappear. you will get there, but you shouldnt worry about how quick you lose it, some of us take a while to see that scale move....and btw 22 pounds is a great number!
  8. wow! that is incredible numbers! keep up whatever you are doing cause it is obviously working. I have to work for every pound I lose now. I miss the big numbers those stalls hit us all, just keep possitive!
  9. this is totally a wonderful NSV! dont it feel great? lol
  10. you are burning up fat, and building muscle. fat takes up more space then muscle. pound of fat and a pound of muscle is still a pound, however the amount of mass (or the space that it takes up) is much smaller....so in answer to your question, someone who is the same height as you and the same weight as you could be in a size 16 and you could be in a size 12----same brand jeans and all---because your space is going to be smaller then theirs. hope this helps
  11. I lost a little bit of hair, but I have alot so it really wasnt noticable, except for the regrowth sticking up. I know someone who had a lot of hair loss, and we went to sallys and got some hair extentions for her. if you get real hair you can dye it whatever color your hair is and then there is the hair glue that you use to glue it in by the root. you can add them wherever you are really thin. Also getting a shorter hair cut helps disguise thin hair. In your picture your hair looks great btw. you really look wonderful! as for taking anything for it, I never did...and the hair stopped falling our at about 6 months for me. good luck!
  12. Get used to those stalls, they happen often...but then bamb....you lose again, and it is like christmas! lol
  13. I dont know the brand, however I have a receipe for a low carb pizza you can make for yourself in about 8 minutes. You buy the low carb garlic tortillas, they sell them at all grocery stores....put a tiny amount of oil or butter and line a skillet with it, then put the tortilla on it, with medium to low heat. spread on your favorite spagetti sause, or pizza sause....then add all the meat and veggies you like, spread cheese over top. cook right on the stovetop for about 6-8 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tortilla is crispy. This is sooooo good, and my whole family loves it too. It is a really great option, and you will have enough for 3-4 meals for yourself.
  14. I have lost more then 100 pounds with the sleeve. What you lose depends on how much you put into it. I used to get heartburn and acid reflux badly before the surgery....since the surgery I have had acid reflux about two times, however It was after I overate my sleeve. I wouldn't personally get the by-pass due to the malabsorption....and how many friends I have seen look so bad after it. Good luck to you!
  15. we all feel this way before surgery, no matter where it is. I'm sure you will be fine! congrats on getting this wonderful tool!
  16. that is so wonderful! keep up the good work!
  17. wow! congrats and welcome to the other side! take it easy and dont overdue it.
  18. not all of us get extra skin, it really depends on how you carried your weight, genetics, age, hydration and for some people just dumb luck! I dont really have any extra skin anywhere...except my horrible tummy, but that was from having 10 pound babies! lol make sure you drink plenty of water as this helps to hydrate the skin, as well as get rid of the fat. good luck!
  19. when I was on the liquid diet I was allowed no sugar fudge pops, sugar free pudding, and jello, as well as real liquidy soups....after the first week my doc said it was ok to have one string cheese a day and one egg a day as well. just do your best....and make sure that you do all liquids at least 2 days before the surgery so that you can have your poop shoot all cleared out...lol You can do this! best of luck and wishes! ((hugs))
  20. you arent a failure. we all lose differently. it is easy to get discouraged.....just look at how far you have come.....that is enough!
  21. way to go! you are doing terrific!
  22. you can take gummy vitamins by day 3....if you can manage to tolerate them....just suck on them until they are disolved.
  23. I just feel full too, but it is really uncomfortable if I have that bite to many, and I too salivate uncontrollably, as well as get the hiccups....only like 2-3 right before I am going to be to full....so weird!
  24. you should call your doc for some pain meds if you dont already have some.....dont suffer through the pain, better healing occurs when you arent in pain. as for all of the sounds, that will continue for some time. I had the weirdest sounds coming from my tummy, and my whole family would laugh about it.....it will go away, just takes some time.
