  1. same here...I will get the bloated feeling if I overeat. the one thing that isnt to bad is that if I do need to throw up at least there isnt any stomach acid in it, so it tastes the same going out as it did going in. you will get better at telling when you are full as you go along. now I know if I get the hiccups it is time to stop or I will feel very uncomfortable. good luck!
  2. wow! looking great! keep up the good work!
  3. I am more then a year out now, and while I cant "chug" water I can drink about 4-6 ounces at a time now as long as my tummy is empty. It gets easier to get used to as you go
  4. ok, well my dr. garcia was wonderful, but he is in bakersfield, ca....wishing you all the best!
  5. did you pay with credit card? you may be able to get a payment history with you credit card company
  6. you must feel like ur on cloud nine
  7. there are more then one dr. garcia, are you talking about one in mexico?
  8. it took me 1.5 months to get all the testing done.....1/2 a month for the company to submit to the insurance...and 4 days for approval. however all insurance company's are different. some require a supervised diet and other stuff. I was lucky cause my friend has the same insurance as me...I got my sleeve approved 2 months before she sent in for approval and the insurance company changed the requirement to a 6 month supervised diet before approval....let me tell you she was pissed! no matter what the wait is though, it is worth every second!
  9. haha! I had that problem when I was laying in the bath....I saw my ribs sticking out and I thought I had some growths going on. I laughed histerically when I realized what they were.
  10. I didnt even think of that one. it was just me on auto pilot I guess. now that I think of it, I believe that this is something I still just do...go into the handicapped stall....I bet everyone who is in the bathroom just thinks I am an inconsiderate "B".......I guess I better stop using those bathrooms!
  11. that is so wonderful! I'm sure your horses are happy too! you look so happy in your picture. congrats, I know how wonderful it feels to be free of the weight!
  12. those stalls happen to us all. I have been in one for 2 months now. It happens more frequently the closer you are to goal. dont let it discourage you. you will make it through!
  13. you look amazing! so pretty!
  14. that is so wonderful that you are finally able to begin your journey. welcome! and congrats!!!
  15. I once ordered a $3000 vacation for 4....one problem (I have a family of five) on ambien....I was also a sleep eater with it....needless to say I stopped taking that stuff! good thing you woke up
  16. I am one year out now, and I have to say that I fully believe that If I tell myself I cant have something that I really want, then I will end up failing miserably. If there is something that I am truely craving then I will have it, just a really small amount, and then I am over it....instead of being haunted over it again and again. I'm glad you arent beating yourself up over it!
  17. I am glad that you are deciding to go back, I was really worried about you! it is hard because we all had the surgery for pretty much the same reason......a severe problem with food addiction. you can do this, just give yourself a little time to heal
  18. sounds great to me. you can also go online and look up low carb dinners to make.....try doing a new one every day like an adventure. just because you are only cooking for yourself doesnt mean that you cant have fun with it. if you make enough you can always freeze the left overs in single servings for a quick pull out dinner for the times when you dong want to cook. it really sounds like you are doing a good job though already.
  19. try a sugar free fudgesicle. or some jello, or pudding. that helped me
  20. you are playing rush and roulette with your stomach. You are risking a tear in your staples and your new tummy. I hope you will reconsider eating like this.....better safe then dead!
  21. sex is much better now I had reached that phase of being over weight where we could only do one position before.....and had to have lights off.....now that is no longer a problem!
  22. love it! this was one of my goals, and I am proud to say that I have met this one! it is so nice when the bar goes all the way in! my next one is to be able to fit into size 6's you will get there soon!
  23. definatly happy! we are celebrating our 18 year anniversary on the 20th of september. we make sure to act like we are dating, and not just like we are married and have kids. its important to keep dating even after you have kids and are married!
  24. oh no, I wasnt mad at all! haha If I see a pretty woman that I think my hubby would like I will point it out to him.....Just did this the other day when we went to universal studios....there was this beautiful woman walking by when we were sitting down.....I mean BEAUTIFUL!!! She even had one of those shirts on that dont have sleeves, or sides so you could see her whole bra free boob action on the side...im all......LOOK, LOOK,LOOK....real fast....he liked it..lol
