  1. I can not eat one slice of bread nor a tortilla, and my doctor advises against them. I have tried, but they stick every time. UGH. I was banded in oct and have had 2 fills.
  2. Usually plastic surgery scars barely show.

I hope the break helps!! Good luck!
  4. All is well I am now down 26 pounds, and I feel wonderful. My blood pressure was perfect. My sugar was good. I am down to one pill a day for my diabetes. I love my band! I still have issues with eating too fast, not chewing enough, but mostly when I do not pay close attention. I am logging my food every day on sparkpeople. and the stubborn ole scales moved down today after 3 weeks of staying the same. Then I am at work and I can hardly sit still, and I am thinking what is this crazy feeling, It makes me want to get up and move could it possible be ENERGY!! OMG
  5. sip fluids and no eating at all.
  6. I wanna name my band after my husband because I love it so so much!! My frineds are calling me the incredible shrinking woman!!
  7. Soda? Flour tortillas? very bad for you.
  8. I swell a lot every time I get a fill. It takes a couple weeks to go back to normal.
  9. it is because of where they place the band is near your diaphragm and it causes you to have hick ups
  10. Have you been to a seminar? you should it helped me make the decision. My surgeon, had a flat rate for people who's insurance would not pay. I got mine for 14500. One year free fills! Good luck!
  11. I had a hiatal hernia too but it was fixed when they put in the band. It makes healing a little slower I think but its all good!
  12. productive burp, is what it is and usually happens when something does not go down when you are eating.
  13. I had a scab in one of my incisions that was really deep and it started having pus after more than two months, I was putting peroxide on like you did and using a wash rag to wipe away the wetness and it pulled the scab off, since then it healed completely up. I think it was the glue stuff and it was ready to come outta there.
  14. I use the proti diet protien drinks, they are only 15 grams of protein, but only 70 calories too, they are sweetened with Sucralose, I can not tolerate aspertame. They come in a lot of fruit flavors and also creamy flavors. For snacks I use sugar free popsicles Good and very low calorie! Good luck!!
  15. i am in exactly the same boat! I was banded on the 14th and have had two fills, but I know that when I get my next fill I will lose! I did on my second fill, but as you lose it loosens up the band. So I need another fill. Please dont be discouraged. it is a process to get your band right. It is slower for some of us than others, but the key is you are down from where you started. Who cares if it takes a little longer, we are losing!! Just wait till your fill and you too will finally start to feel the restriction!! It will finally start moving the scale downward!!
  16. Hey keep us posted on how it goes!!
  17. I had an egd done right before surgery, and it was not painful in anyway. I had a hernia, and that was repaired during my lapband surgery.
  18. Mine have dropped, in the couple of months I have been banded. I have cut my meds in half. But I have not had my a 1 c yet since being banded.
  19. yep you need another fill. As time passes, you lose around your band, another fill will probably help you out alot!
  20. I use chrome and all displays well
  21. I can't see why not, you are past your mushy stage lol (sorry could not help myself) I was banded in Oct. too, and I am not down as much as you but me and hubby are still enjoying things more!!
  22. If I was guessing I would say yes you need a fill, I was banded in Oct, and need my third fill which is scheduled on the 11th of Jan. I feel restriction, but am experiencing hunger between meals. So that is why I think I need it. Good luck!
